Executive Summary
Drax Company is a technology firm that provides a variety of products and services.
The company deal with both hardware and software products. The management aim of this
report is to analyze the operations of the company and the factors that affect its operations.
Drax has recorded excellent performance in its activities over the last five years however is,
mainly based on a 20-year-old platform. The first part of this report is a brief introduction that
summarizes the content of the report. The second part of this report contains organizational
culture and structure that the management uses to perform their duties. Drax Company has a
standard culture web that helps the management run its operations.
On the other hand, a critical analysis of the company culture models and framework
shows that Drax uses a defined framework with four main components comprising of both
internal and external factors which include collaboration, creating, controlling and completing.
These four components form the underlying drivers that determine how the company run its
operation.
Leadership styles and methods of Drax are also discussed in this report. The
management of Drax uses different leadership styles to run its operations to increase the
company's performance in the market. In most cases, management has been using both
bureaucratic and participative leadership styles to encourage the involvement of employees'
and all staff as a way to increase the company's performance. Also, Drax has C culture type of
organization culture. The culture of C of Drax comprises of visible features such as holidays,
weekend breaks and staff foods. The management adopted this culture as a motivating factor
to increase employee performance to improve the quality of its services. Lastly, Drax has a
hierarchical organizational structure characterized by a long chain of command that provides
room for the division of labour and specialization. However, the company has not been able to
increase its financial performance due to bad management styles

Introduction
Typically, companies in different industries use technology services to improve the
quality of their services.
Similarly, Drax can effectively integrate technology and its service to improve quality
delivery. Statistically, Drax has recorded excellent performance in its activities over the last
five years; however, it is, mainly based on a 20-year-old platform (Wofford, Whittington &
Goodwin, 2012). Besides, the company has recorded multiple achievements in its which are
primarily attributed to an increased level of creativity and innovations by employees of the
company. Drax has a well-organized production structure that has enabled to run its operations
more efficiently to achieve its organizational goals. Additionally, the company's organizational
structure is appropriate, thus, enhancing the smooth running of all its operational activities.
The main aim of this report is to examine various features of Drax that have helped the
company to increase its operations as well as improving the quality of its products and services.
First, the report will discuss the organizational culture and structure that the company assumes
to enable it to run its business activities (Wofford et al. 2012). Drax uses a formal organizational
structure with well-defined sets of operation that helps in organization and coordination of
organizational activities to achieve organizational goals and objectives. Besides, the company
has undergone tremendous changes in the organizational activities and structure to acquire new
culture and practices that can enable the company to compete effectively in both local and
global markets. Furthermore, the company's culture models and framework will also be
covered in the report to show how the company's organizational culture has changed over that
past few years to support and promote its activities (Wofford et al. 2012). Being a technology
company, Drax has heavily depended on technological advancement to improve the quality of
its services and product to improve its performance in the global markets.

On the other hand, this report will also discuss the company's agile ways of working to
increase its performance in both local and global markets. Even though the management has
tried to use technological advancement, Drax has failed to realize improvement in its
performance for the last five years (Wofford et al. 2012). The leading cause of a decrease in
the production of Drax is due to the decline in the quality of its services. Most customers in the
market choose the company's services over those of its competitor due to increase quality of
services. Consequently, Drax has failed to increase its productivity due to a decrease in annual
profits. In addition to the decline in productivity, Drax has a standard leadership style the help
in leading all operations the company to achieve its goals (Wofford et al. 2012). However, this
has not been successful because, due to bad leadership styles used by the management. As
such, there is a need for the management of Drax technology to employ a better leadership style
that can help the company to achieve its goals.
Moreover, another key concept that will be discussed in this report is the use of power
and politics within the company to run its organizational activities (Wofford et al. 2012). The
management of Drax has divided the ability to different stakeholders of the company to
enhance the smooth running of all organization activities. As such, this has facilitated the
division of organizational activities to assist in the smooth running of operations. Even though
the company divides power and duties among different level of management, there should be
a chain of command within the company to help in aligning organizational goals and objectives.
In doing so, the management will be able to control its sensitive operation, which will help the
management in achieving organizational goals and targets.
Lastly, the report will cover change management strategies used by the management of
Drax to ensure that all changes made have significant effects on the performance of the
company (Wofford et al. 2012). This has helped the company to enhance efficiency in
managing organizational activities to attain efficiency and professionalism.

Organizational culture
According to Dessler (2011), organizational culture refers to a set of shared practices
held members of a specific organization that give guidelines on how organizational activities
are performed. It distinguishes one organization from the other because every business entity
has different ways of carrying out its activities to achieve its goals and objectives. Typically,
organizational culture reveals how stakeholders of a company particularly employees perceive
features of the company's culture top show if they like them or are not impressed with cultural
practices of the company (Dessler, 2011).
Culture web
Similarly, Drax has a standard culture web which comprises of organizational paradigm
and assumption which are elaborated through coherent six elements. Being a technology
company, its organizational culture exists within the web (Dessler, 2011). The existence of the
culture on the internet enable employees at different levels within the company to interact with
each as well as making work consultations to improve organizational performance. Also, the
culture web has helped in time-saving because it allows employees to learn about the various
culture that might exist in other companies (Dessler, 2011). The culture web of the company
comprises of the six elements that help in creating clarity top increase organizational
performance in both local and global markets.
Culture models and framework
Typically, culture models are used by organizations to understand the social position of
the company and what situation changes that show be made to increase the performance of a
company (Dessler, 2011). Companies in different industries have distinct cultural models and
frameworks to distinguish their operation from those of their competitors. As well, Drax uses
defined culture models and frameworks that help the management to perform organizational
activities different from its competitors. Drax has a competing value framework model, which

comprise of the four key elements that enable the management to conduct their operations
efficiently. These elements include collaboration, creating, control and compete. These
elements are the underlying drivers that help the company to achieve its organization's goals
and objectives (Dessler, 2011). For example, the creative feature helps the company to
concentrate on doing things for the first time by differentiating external factors with internal
factors that affect its operations.
Services and technology
Drax technology uses advanced technology to improve the quality of its services and
products. By having a social web, the management has refocused and increased its operation
on online services to increase its performance in the market (Peus, Frey, Gerkhardt, Fischer &
Traut-Mattausch, 2009). Even though the company has been enjoying a tremendous
improvement in profitability, the management considered venturing in both hardware and
software services to increase the company' performance in the global markets. However, since
the management adopts social web, the company lost its market share, thus knocking it down
from its position in the markets.
Leadership in Drax
Drax has a hierarchical organizational structure with different levels of management.
In each level of control, some professionals perform various activities to help the company
achieve its organizational objectives (Dessler, 2011). Despite, having a hierarchical
organizational structure which encourages specialization of labour, Drax services have been
performing poorly the markets in recent years which signifies poor management. As such, it is
possible that the poor performance of the company is attributed to poor leadership styles used
by the management. Consequently, this has led to poor selling outcome of the company's has
reduced over the past few years.

C culture
A C culture is a type of organizational culture that comprises of visible aspects such as
holidays, food for employees while at work, among other visible components. Drax has a C
culture which consists of visible features such as holidays, weekend breaks and staff foods
(Bryson, 2018). The management adopted this culture as a motivating factor to increase
employee performance to improve the quality of its services. The existence of a C culture in
Drax also allows employees and staffs to connect to improve their performance.
Agile way of working
According to Bryson (2018), an agile way of working refers to organizational strategies
that companies use to empower and encourage their employees to work hard to help the
company achieve its objectives. Currently, organizations use different motivation style to
empower and encourage their employees to work when, where and how they choose. Even
though this practice harms the performance of companies, Drax at times, practice is to give
employees time to do what the feel can help to increase the company's performance. In rare
occasions, the top management of the company allows the middle and bottom managers to
employ their skills and knowledge to help the company achieve its goals (Bryson, 2018). This
help the management to identify areas of weakness that should be addressed to improve
organizational performance.
Performance, productivity and quality
Agility ways of working have greatly encouraged flexibility of operations in the
company's activities (Bryson, 2018). Currently, the management of Drax can give employees
and lower-level staff opportunity to perform their duties how they wish with minimum
constraints associated with their assignments. Since the approval of this system of work
schedule, the company's performance has been declining slowly. The possible cause of the
decline in performance is due to the lack of focus of employees who fail to meet organizational

expectations. The poor performance of the company is attributed to the inferior qualities of
services offered by the company (Bryson, 2018). As a result, this has reduced the company's
performance for the last few years because some employees misuse the opportunities given to
run the operation of the company in their ways to do their things.
Profits
Statistically, the profitability of the company has been declining steadily for the last
five years. The leading cause of the reduction in performance is due to the decline in market
share of the company is the global markets. Since the company approved an agile way of
working, most of its online services have been performing poorly in both the United Kingdom
market and other parts of the world (Bryson, 2018). As a result, the company's profit has been
reducing that has adversely affected its performance. For instance, in 2018, Drax reported a
decline in net profit by a large margin from the previous year balance. This is a sign of
performance that should be corrected to improve the performance of the company in the global
markets.
Leadership
Usually, leadership plays an integral part in helping an organization to achieve its goals.
Drax technologies have a hierarchical organization structure with different levels of
management. As such, there is a division of task at each level of management to encourage
specialization (Bryson, 2018). On the other hand, the company uses a different leadership style
that has adversely affected its operation and performance as well. In some occasions, the
management uses a participative leadership style that encourages the participation of
employees and lower bottom staffs in the decision-making process. However, on most
occasions, the management uses bureaucratic leadership style, which is associated with a long
chain of command that has adversely affected the operations of the company (Bryson, 2018).
Even though the company divides power and duties among different level of management,

there should be a chain of command within the company to help in aligning organizational
goals and objectives. In doing so, the management will be able to control its sensitive operation,
which will help the management in achieving organizational goals and targets.
Power and politics
Companies use power and politics to run its operations in different ways. Usually,
power enables that management of a company to distinguish the roles and abilities of all
stakeholders of the company. Similarly, Drax has formal boundaries in its operations that
differential functions and powers of stakeholders.
Shareholders interest in profits
Generally, the main aim of shareholders of company interest in the profitability of the
firm. Most shareholders of companies require the management to run business activities of the
company in a way that best their desires of wealth maximization (Bryson, 2018). Likewise,
Drax's shareholders pay more attention to the growth and profitability of the company. Even
though the company performing poorly in recent years, its shareholders are more concern and
have been playing their parts of financing the company's operations to enable the company to
improve its performance in the market.
Even though the management of Drax technologies is trying to achieve organizational
goals and objectives, they are unable to meet the desire of shareholders. Intrinsically, this has
created disagreement between shareholders and the management of the company (Fleig, 2018).
The existence of conflicts of interest between shareholders and the management has led to poor
performance because shareholders expect more improvement that management cannot achieve.
The emergence of conflict at Drax
Typically, in every organization, there must be any of conflict between different groups
of people in different level of management. Correspondingly, there are various signs of
conflicts that have been witnessed at Drax technologies that result due to different ideologies

between individuals and groups within the company (Bryson, 2018). Such conflicts have been
taking various forms within the company. The most common source of conflict that has been
arising for the last five years is between employees and the management of the company. In
most occasion, employees have been launch complaints about variables that affect their
operations in the organization. Some of the common issue that employees have been
complaining about are low salaries, poor working environment and safety, among other issues.
Knowledge and expertise
In every organization, the level of customers' satisfaction depends on the quality of
product and services offers by the company. However, the level of quality assurance depends
on compliance to safety and quality assurance measure put in place by the management to
improve services (Bryson, 2018). Drax technologies have faced various quality assurance
issues to incompliance to professional guidelines while performing their duties. Since the
company is a technology company that deals with technological components, the management
should ensure that it employs experts who can perform their duties correctly to attain efficiency.
Contrarily, the management has not been able to do this, which has adversely affected the
operation of the company for the last five years (Bryson, 2018). Due to this, there is a need for
management to employ experienced professionals who can perform their duties correctly.
Change management
Organizational change management is one of the major problems that adversely affect
many organizations. In any organization, there are always factors that support and affect
changes made by the management. Drax Company has undergone many changes in operation
levels that has influenced its operations. One of the most prevalent change that the company
recently experienced in a shift in the operation method (Bryson, 2018). Due to the poor
performance of the company over the past few years, the management introduces a new
operational approach that aimed at improving the performance of the company. Despite the

efforts of the management to increase the company's performance by introducing an original
operation method, some employees and supporting staff did not support the changes and
instead opposed them. As a result, this has affected the operations of the company because
management has failed to find the most appropriate method of introducing and managing
changes made in the company to help in improving organizations performance.
Conclusion
Conclusively, this report contains key concepts about Drax technologies. Some of the
key concepts and ideas discussed in the report include organizational culture, agile way of
working, power and politic and change management. Drax has a standard culture web which

Drax Company is a technology company that operates in the United Kingdom market.
Drax has recorded excellent performance in its activities over the past few years however is,
mainly based on a 20-year-old platform. However, over the last five years up to date, the
company experienced a dramatic decline in performance in its operations due to some reasons.
Some of the main reason which has contributed to a declining in the company's performance is
like, poor management, bad leadership styles, and low-quality services and among other
purposes. Therefore, there is a need for the management of the company to undertake some
activities to increase the company's performance. Similarly, management should consider the
following recommendations:
1. For the management to increase efficiency and professionalism in the company, the
management should employ experts who can perform their duties correctly to attain
efficiency.
2. The management of Drax should create a chain of command within the company to
help in aligning organizational goals and objectives. In doing so, the management will
be able to control its sensitive operation, which will help the management in achieving
organizational goals and targets.
3. On the other hand, the management should fully use a participative leadership style that
will involve all stakeholder tom contribute to the excellent performance of the
company.
4. The management should also train their employees and other staffs members on how to
perform organizational activities tom increase the overall performance of the company.
5. Furthermore, the management should use appropriate technological devices while
offering services to their clients to ensure quality assurance.

The management aim of this report is to analyze the operations of the company and the factors that affect its operations. Drax has recorded excellent performance in its activities over the last five years however is, mainly based on a 20-year-old platform. The first part of this report is a brief introduction that summarizes the content of the report. The second part of this report contains organizational culture and structure that the management uses to perform their duties. Drax Company has a standard culture web that helps the management run its operations. On the other hand, a critical analysis of the company culture models and framework shows that Drax uses a defined framework with four main components comprising of both internal and external factors which include collaboration, creating, controlling and completing. These four components form the underlying drivers that determine how the company run its operation. Leadership styles and methods of Drax are also discussed in this report. The management of Drax uses different leadership styles to run its operations to increase the company's performance in the market. In most cases, management has been using both bureaucratic and participative leadership styles to encourage the involvement of employees' and all staff as a way to increase the company's performance. Also, Drax has C culture type of organization culture. The culture of C of Drax comprises of visible features such as holidays, weekend breaks and staff foods. The management adopted this culture as a motivating factor to increase employee performance to improve the quality of its services. Lastly, Drax has a hierarchical organizational structure characterized by a long chain of command that provides room for the division of labour and specialization. However, the company has not been able to increase its financial performance due to bad management styles

Similarly, Drax can effectively integrate technology and its service to improve quality delivery. Statistically, Drax has recorded excellent performance in its activities over the last five years; however, it is, mainly based on a 20-year-old platform (Wofford, Whittington & Goodwin, 2012). Besides, the company has recorded multiple achievements in its which are primarily attributed to an increased level of creativity and innovations by employees of the company. Drax has a well-organized production structure that has enabled to run its operations more efficiently to achieve its organizational goals. Additionally, the company's organizational structure is appropriate, thus, enhancing the smooth running of all its operational activities. The main aim of this report is to examine various features of Drax that have helped the company to increase its operations as well as improving the quality of its products and services. First, the report will discuss the organizational culture and structure that the company assumes to enable it to run its business activities (Wofford et al. 2012). Drax uses a formal organizational structure with well-defined sets of operation that helps in organization and coordination of organizational activities to achieve organizational goals and objectives. Besides, the company has undergone tremendous changes in the organizational activities and structure to acquire new culture and practices that can enable the company to compete effectively in both local and global markets. Furthermore, the company's culture models and framework will also be covered in the report to show how the company's organizational culture has changed over that past few years to support and promote its activities (Wofford et al. 2012). Being a technology company, Drax has heavily depended on technological advancement to improve the quality of its services and product to improve its performance in the global markets.

Even though the management has tried to use technological advancement, Drax has failed to realize improvement in its performance for the last five years (Wofford et al. 2012). The leading cause of a decrease in the production of Drax is due to the decline in the quality of its services. Most customers in the market choose the company's services over those of its competitor due to increase quality of services. Consequently, Drax has failed to increase its productivity due to a decrease in annual profits. In addition to the decline in productivity, Drax has a standard leadership style the help in leading all operations the company to achieve its goals (Wofford et al. 2012). However, this has not been successful because, due to bad leadership styles used by the management. As such, there is a need for the management of Drax technology to employ a better leadership style that can help the company to achieve its goals. Moreover, another key concept that will be discussed in this report is the use of power and politics within the company to run its organizational activities (Wofford et al. 2012). The management of Drax has divided the ability to different stakeholders of the company to enhance the smooth running of all organization activities. As such, this has facilitated the division of organizational activities to assist in the smooth running of operations. Even though the company divides power and duties among different level of management, there should be a chain of command within the company to help in aligning organizational goals and objectives. In doing so, the management will be able to control its sensitive operation, which will help the management in achieving organizational goals and targets. Lastly, the report will cover change management strategies used by the management of Drax to ensure that all changes made have significant effects on the performance of the company (Wofford et al. 2012). This has helped the company to enhance efficiency in managing organizational activities to attain efficiency and professionalism.

It distinguishes one organization from the other because every business entity has different ways of carrying out its activities to achieve its goals and objectives. Typically, organizational culture reveals how stakeholders of a company particularly employees perceive features of the company's culture top show if they like them or are not impressed with cultural practices of the company (Dessler, 2011). Culture web Similarly, Drax has a standard culture web which comprises of organizational paradigm and assumption which are elaborated through coherent six elements. Services and technology Drax technology uses advanced technology to improve the quality of its services and products. By having a social web, the management has refocused and increased its operation on online services to increase its performance in the market (Peus, Frey, Gerkhardt, Fischer & Traut-Mattausch, 2009). Even though the company has been enjoying a tremendous improvement in profitability, the management considered venturing in both hardware and software services to increase the company' performance in the global markets. However, since the management adopts social web, the company lost its market share, thus knocking it down from its position in the markets. Leadership in Drax Drax has a hierarchical organizational structure with different levels of management. In each level of control, some professionals perform various activities to help the company achieve its organizational objectives (Dessler, 2011). Despite, having a hierarchical organizational structure which encourages specialization of labour, Drax services have been performing poorly the markets in recent years which signifies poor management. As such, it is possible that the poor performance of the company is attributed to poor leadership styles used by the management. Consequently, this has led to poor selling outcome of the company's has reduced over the past few years.

The management adopted this culture as a motivating factor to increase employee performance to improve the quality of its services. The existence of a C culture in Drax also allows employees and staffs to connect to improve their performance. Agile way of working According to Bryson (2018), an agile way of working refers to organizational strategies that companies use to empower and encourage their employees to work hard to help the company achieve its objectives. Currently, organizations use different motivation style to empower and encourage their employees to work when, where and how they choose. Even though this practice harms the performance of companies, Drax at times, practice is to give employees time to do what the feel can help to increase the company's performance. In rare occasions, the top management of the company allows the middle and bottom managers to employ their skills and knowledge to help the company achieve its goals (Bryson, 2018). This help the management to identify areas of weakness that should be addressed to improve organizational performance. Performance, productivity and quality Agility ways of working have greatly encouraged flexibility of operations in the company's activities (Bryson, 2018). Currently, the management of Drax can give employees and lower-level staff opportunity to perform their duties how they wish with minimum constraints associated with their assignments. Since the approval of this system of work schedule, the company's performance has been declining slowly. The possible cause of the decline in performance is due to the lack of focus of employees who fail to meet organizational

As a result, this has reduced the company's performance for the last few years because some employees misuse the opportunities given to run the operation of the company in their ways to do their things. Profits Statistically, the profitability of the company has been declining steadily for the last five years. The leading cause of the reduction in performance is due to the decline in market share of the company is the global markets. Since the company approved an agile way of working, most of its online services have been performing poorly in both the United Kingdom market and other parts of the world (Bryson, 2018). As a result, the company's profit has been reducing that has adversely affected its performance. For instance, in 2018, Drax reported a decline in net profit by a large margin from the previous year balance. This is a sign of performance that should be corrected to improve the performance of the company in the global markets. Leadership Usually, leadership plays an integral part in helping an organization to achieve its goals. Drax technologies have a hierarchical organization structure with different levels of management. As such, there is a division of task at each level of management to encourage specialization (Bryson, 2018). On the other hand, the company uses a different leadership style that has adversely affected its operation and performance as well. In some occasions, the management uses a participative leadership style that encourages the participation of employees and lower bottom staffs in the decision-making process. However, on most occasions, the management uses bureaucratic leadership style, which is associated with a long chain of command that has adversely affected the operations of the company (Bryson, 2018). Usually, power enables that management of a company to distinguish the roles and abilities of all stakeholders of the company. Similarly, Drax has formal boundaries in its operations that differential functions and powers of stakeholders. Shareholders interest in profits Generally, the main aim of shareholders of company interest in the profitability of the firm. Most shareholders of companies require the management to run business activities of the company in a way that best their desires of wealth maximization (Bryson, 2018). Likewise, Drax's shareholders pay more attention to the growth and profitability of the company. Even though the company performing poorly in recent years, its shareholders are more concern and have been playing their parts of financing the company's operations to enable the company to improve its performance in the market. Even though the management of Drax technologies is trying to achieve organizational goals and objectives, they are unable to meet the desire of shareholders. Intrinsically, this has created disagreement between shareholders and the management of the company (Fleig, 2018). The existence of conflicts of interest between shareholders and the management has led to poor performance because shareholders expect more improvement that management cannot achieve. The emergence of conflict at Drax Typically, in every organization, there must be any of conflict between different groups of people in different level of management. Correspondingly, there are various signs of conflicts that have been witnessed at Drax technologies that result due to different ideologies

The most common source of conflict that has been arising for the last five years is between employees and the management of the company. In most occasion, employees have been launch complaints about variables that affect their operations in the organization. Some of the common issue that employees have been complaining about are low salaries, poor working environment and safety, among other issues. Knowledge and expertise In every organization, the level of customers' satisfaction depends on the quality of product and services offers by the company. However, the level of quality assurance depends on compliance to safety and quality assurance measure put in place by the management to improve services (Bryson, 2018). Drax technologies have faced various quality assurance issues to incompliance to professional guidelines while performing their duties. Since the company is a technology company that deals with technological components, the management should ensure that it employs experts who can perform their duties correctly to attain efficiency. Contrarily, the management has not been able to do this, which has adversely affected the operation of the company for the last five years (Bryson, 2018). Due to this, there is a need for management to employ experienced professionals who can perform their duties correctly. Change management Organizational change management is one of the major problems that adversely affect many organizations. In any organization, there are always factors that support and affect changes made by the management. Drax Company has undergone many changes in operation levels that has influenced its operations. One of the most prevalent change that the company recently experienced in a shift in the operation method (Bryson, 2018). Due to the poor performance of the company over the past few years, the management introduces a new operational approach that aimed at improving the performance of the company. Despite the

As a result, this has affected the operations of the company because management has failed to find the most appropriate method of introducing and managing changes made in the company to help in improving organizations performance. Conclusion Conclusively, this report contains key concepts about Drax technologies. Some of the key concepts and ideas discussed in the report include organizational culture, agile way of working, power and politic and change management. Drax has a standard culture web which comprises of organizational paradigm and assumption which are elaborated through coherent six elements (Bryson, 2018). Some of the main reason which has contributed to a declining in the company's performance is like, poor management, bad leadership styles, and low-quality services and among other purposes.
