3. Stony Brook University Study in Italy Programs
The Center for Italian Studies promotes Italian history and heritage through its on-site cultural
programs, language classes, and study-abroad opportunities. Through the Center, Stony Brook
students can spend a summer, semester, or academic year studying in Rome or Florence. In
addition to earning course credits, participants will visit some of Italy’s most notable landmarks,
including Cinque Terre, the Roman Forum, and St. Peter’s Basilica.
4. Stony Brook University Study in Italy Programs
Semester and year-long programs are conducted at the Florence University of the Arts, and offer
diverse course offerings from more than a dozen majors. Italian language proficiency is not
required, and New York residents can participate in the program at in-state tuition rates.
