2. Typeface & Font
• A type face is a set of groups that are each
composed of glyphs which share common
design features. Example of typeface font is
Times New Roman and example of Font is
Times New Roman Italics.
3. Upper case & Lower case
• Upper case letter which means Capital letters
are put like this ‘TEXT’ and For lower case
letters ‘text’ is just normal size,
5. Glyph
• Glyphs are symbols such as Question Mark ? ,
Exclamation mark ! , Ampersand & , Asterisk *
, Commercial ‘At’ Symbol , bullet point.
6. Point size leading
• In a solid set of words the point size is set to a
12- point type and is the default size in word
processing
• Leading is where there is space between the
lines of the letters.
7. Alignment styles
• Alignment styles is where you change where
the text is placed such as set left which places
at the left of the page same with flush left,
Ragged set right, flush right, ragged left
centered.
8. Kerning
• Kerning is the separation between each letter
from being close to wide apart.
9. Tracking
• Tracking is used to space out the letters out at
once where as kerning is changing one letter
at a time.
