“Investigation on Post-Coital Antifertility Activity of Sapindus trifoliatus Linn. and
Pharmacophore Search for Novel Contraceptives” –
An indigenous medicinal herb ‘Ritha’, Sapindus trifoliatus Linn. with
documented ethno-therapeutic uses has been explored for its contraceptive properties
through post-coital pregnancy interceptive activity, estrogenic activity, blood-
biochemical and estrous cycle changes studies along with toxicity evaluation on rodent
model.
Simultaneously promising contraceptive molecules are theoretically modeled
through in-silico chemometric approaches to deduce active pharmacophore signals,
visualize receptor-ligand interactions, predict more potent molecules from generated
molecular models and through database screening. (Ph.D. synopsis)
Experiment on GENTAMICIN and AMIKACIN induced peroxidation and its
inhihition by antioxidant, ASCORBIC ACID on rabbit model (M.Pharm 3rd & 4th
semester).
Theoretical work on Prion Diseases-An Overview. (B.Pharm 8th semester).
