SPEECH PATHOLOGY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
I have experience working with children with disabilities (Autism spectrum disorder, Downs syndrome,
Cerebral palsy, Intellectual disability, Global development delay, Selective mutism, Voice disorders
etc) adults and aged population (Motor neuron disease, Dementia, Aphasia, Alzhemier and
Parkinson’s disease).
Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC):
Assessment, trial and supporting the paediatric and adult clients and the significant others using low
tech and high tech AAC systems. I also have the experience to communicate and interact with
children using Auslan and Keyword signs.
Speech and language disorders:
Language delay and disorders (narrative skills, morphology, syntax, prosody and pragmatics) and
Speech difficulties (Articulation, Fluency and Speech sound disorders)
Autism spectrum disorders:
Social skills, verbal and nonverbal communication, providing education and support to the family and

Emotional regulation and social skills:
Running groups in school and supporting school for children focussing on emotional regulation and
social skills e.g. Talk About program.
Dysphagia:
Assessment, postural and dietary recommendations along with exercises to ensure safety swallow.
Voice disorders:
Psychogenic voice disorders, occupational voice users, voice problems emerging after surgical
procedures such as thyroid and laryngeal surgeries and difficulties with voice projection arising from
motor neuron diseases.
