walk for a healthy community
Get a “taste” of our first-ever Walk!
Highmark Delaware will present the first-ever Highmark Walk for a Healthy
Community in the state on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014 at Bellevue State Park.
The walk benefits 17 local health and human service organizations. We organize
and pay for all costs associated with the walk so that 100 percent of the money
raised by walkers goes directly to the organization of their choice.

First, pick your favorite nonprofit.
• Interact with staff and volunteers from the nonprofits
to learn about what they do in our community.
–– Collect a sticker from each group you talk with.
• Register to walk on behalf of one of the nonprofits and
you will be entered into a raffle to win one of 3 FitBits.
• Sign up to volunteer at the walk.
Then, pick your favorite flavor!
• Sample ice cream from UDairy Creamery Moo Mobile,
which will have a variety of flavors to choose from.
• Exchange your ice cream ticket with at least 3
stickers for a free scoop of ice cream – on us!
