Our first idea was to implement customized name tags with a picture and profile to speed up the registration process and stimulate networking. But this is pretty lame and not innovative at all so we moved on to the idea of color-coding networking groups. For example start-ups could be colored red and venture capitalists could be colored green and they could network according to their intentions at the event. However, we wanted our product to be more tech friendly so we came up with the idea of RFID wristbands. If any of you have ever been to outsidelands or any other big music festivals, these are your ticket in and your token when you leave. However, RFID technology is expensive so it’s not a reasonable compounded expense since galvanize has so many events everyday.
