This document provides the homework assignments and focus areas for 5th grade students from September 28th to October 2nd. In reading, students will update reading logs, read their genre book for the month, and turn in reading logs. Math focuses on quizzes on divisibility, factors, multiples, prime numbers, algebra word problems, and two-step problems. Writing focuses on personal narratives and grammar involving sentences. The science and social studies assignments can be found on the teacher's blog. Students should also do independent reading nightly for their reading log.

.The scale for the first reading log is as follows:
* Read 600 or more pages = 4
* 350-599= 3
* 250- 349 = 2
* below 250 = 1
