Subject: Letter of Reference for Mr. Ray Brunkow
To all interested parties;
Please consider this letter of endorsement for Mr. Ray Brunkow. I spent two
and a half years as Ray's peer at The University of Central Florida, and witnessed
first-hand his dedication and perseverance as an electrical engineering student. I also
served as the team lead for Robotics Club at UCF's autonomous surface vehicle and,
based on his level of knowledge and understanding, I personally invited Mr. Brunkow
to take part in the rewiring effort as we redesigned the legacy platform. Ray was in
charge of the optimization of the platform's power distribution, and also handled data
backup and networking for the system.
Ray troubleshot the legacy platform's wiring, and was able to identify and
eliminate several sources of power leakage. The new power configuration increased
our updated platform's run-time by 60%, resulting in extended remote programming
and debugging time. This greatly contributed to the platform's success at AUVSI's
Roboboat competition in Virginia Beach, July 2015.
Ray's consistent involvement and helpful insight made him indispensable as a
team member (both before and during the competition), and I have full confidence in
his performance and his knowledge as an electrical/power engineer. Ray takes pride
in his work, and genuinely cares about the projects and people he is involved with. His
friendly personality and openess to ideas and suggestions makes him a pleasure to
work with. Thus, I endorse Mr. Brunkow and strongly recommend him as an addition
to your team.
Very Respectfully,
David Pasley
