โข Alexandriaโs climate is influenced by the
Mediterranean Sea, moderating its temperatures,
causing variable rainy winters and moderately hot
summers that, at times, can be very humid.
โข With annual rainfall between 100 and 300 millimeters
(mm). The rainfall regime is stormy, occurring mostly
during the winter months.

operable openings and yet easily
controlled when needed
Produce the design with more free
corridors with no obstacles that
reduce air speed
Preserve the heat /or cooled air by
tighten up the openings with
controllable hinged windows /doors
Study the faรงade carefully and to
insulate the necessary walls to resist
heat gain by the sun
Reduce concrete mass by constructing

and allows hot air to escape through the atmosphere
โข Shading the court and creates a positive pressure cooled area that
drives the air into the inner spaces
โข By adding long trees inside court it will give the desired effect and
pleasant feeling to the building users

12. OPTIMIZING THE FAรADE ACCORDING TO DAYLIGHT
โข Exterior walls have different insulations according to the
wall location /conditions
โข Windows shading is not included in the calculations due to
software limitations , therefore the calculations presented
are showing improvement without shading . As known
limiting glass exposure to sunlight are crucial even if itโs
not computed
โข Areas of larger window to wall ration (glass house ,etc.)
have separate insulation to limit the effect on the entire
building
โข Roof material is high efficient insulation (proposed
Marmox board or any other light insulated structure
