26. When a user generates e-way bill by providing e-Way bill portal credentials, what happens
in a multi-user scenario? Can another user generate e-Way bills without providing
credentials as TallyPrime is saving these credentials for 6 hrs.?
This can be answered in two scenarios:
a) When your company has Username and Password: Credentials are saved for the company and against a
user who logged in, not for other users. Other users need to enter e-Way Bill portal login credentials
when they want to generate e-Way bill, then it will save login credentials for them too.
b) When your company does not have Username and Password: Yes, others in LAN will be able to generate
e-Way bills without entering credentials for 6 hrs. as allowed by NIC Portal or till the time you reset e-Way
bill login in TallyPrime.
Reset of e-Way bill login can be done in two ways
1. F1 Help Troubleshooting Reset e-Way Bill Login or
2. Restart the system where Tally Gateway Server is installed
27. I am getting rejections while performing Get EWB Infor for some of the transactions
Get EWB Info is supported by NIC in below conditions:
1. EWB should be in Active state (To Get the EWB no.)
2. EWB No., can be obtained only if you are the supplier and generator (cannot Get EWB no., for goods
moving to you where your counter-party has generated EWB)
3. To Get latest status of EWB, EWB no. is needed in transaction
28. There is no offline support for Generate EWB with IRN.
e-Invoice and EWB generation are both available online in TallyPrime from Release 1.1 and Release 2.0
respectively. In case of exceptional scenarios, offline generation of e-Invoice and EWB is also supported.
However, subsequent to online/offline generation of e-Invoice if e-Way Bill is to be generated offline the same
is not supported. e-Way Bill requires to be generated online only.
