Dr. N. Rajanna is an Associate Professor in the Department of Livestock Production and Management at the College of Veterinary Science in Hyderabad, India. He has over 20 years of experience in teaching and research related to dairy cattle nutrition, sheep production, and small ruminant management. He has published 30 research papers, 35 popular articles, and 5 booklets. He is involved in various professional societies and has received several awards for his research work.

He has graduated from A.P. A.U. (1994), obtained post-graduate degree from A.N.G.R.A.U.
(1998) withspecializationinDairyCattle Nutrition.He hasworked on Sheep Production for his doctoral
degree which was awarded to him by Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University in the year 2011.
He has startedhis career with the State Department of Animal Husbandry in the year 1997 and
joined the University service in the year 2001. He is involved in teaching UG and PG students. He has
published 30researchpapers, 35 populararticlesand 5 booklets. He isa goodextensionactivistandhas
given more than 100 TV programs besides a 27 radio talks.
He isan enthusiastic professional and is a member of Indian Society of Animal Production and
Management (ISAPM), Indian Society for Sheep and Goat Production and Utilization (ISSGPU) and
Laboratory Animal Scientists' Association (LASA).
He has successfully implemented the Integrated Sheep Development Project in Nizamabad
district in collaboration with Ministry of Textiles, GoI and Wool Board, Jodhpur and a Sheep rearing
projectunderFarming SystemResearch inassociationwithJVRHorticultural ResearchStation(JVR HRS).
He is a good sportsman. In his student days, he was the Captain of University Volley Ball Team
that took part in South Zone tournaments held at Bangalore, Chitradurg and Mangalore.
