CPEC ITS MISSION AND VISION:
China–Pakistan Economic Corridor ( راہداری اقتصادی پاكستان-چین) is a part of china one belt
one road Economic corridor and it is a collection of infrastructure projects that are currently
under construction through Pakistan. It is more than just a $47 billion dollar investment in
Pakistan. China Pakistan Economic Corridor is a 3,218 km long route, to be built over next
several years, consisting of highways, railways and pipelines.
To improve the lives of people of Pakistan and China by building an economic
corridor promoting joint connectivity, construction, explore potential bilateral investment,
economic and trade, logistics and people to people contact for regional connectivity.

MAIN PURPOSES OF CPEC :
CPEC is just a part of the huge One Belt project. Specifically
for CPEC the purposes to help China avoid the long sea route and directly have a
road route from China to Gwadar and access to warm waters and from there to
beyond. For this China is investing in the proper infrastructure and power projects in
Pakistan. It has a major portion in Pakistan and a small portion in China.

Basically, the transportation network of roads and railways connecting the city of Kashgar,
located in the Xinjiang province of China, to the China-Pakistan Border to Gwadar.
IMPACT OF CPEC ON OTHER COUNTRIES :
CPEC Corridor is a framework of regional connectivity. CPEC will not only benefit
China and Pakistan but will have positive impact on Iran, Afghanistan, India, Central Asian
Republic, and the region.
The enhancement of geographical linkages having improved road, rail and air
transportation system with frequent and free exchanges of growth and people to people
contact, enhancing understanding through academic, cultural and regional knowledge and
culture, activity of higher volume of flow of trade and businesses, producing and moving
energy to have more optimal businesses and enhancement of co-operation.
WHY CPEC IS IMPORTANT FOR PAKISTAN :
CPEC investment will be made in Pakistan much needed energy sector to
overcome electricity shortage for sustained growth of Pakistan economy.
Pakistan will become the most strategically important country in the region because it will
improve trade and economic connectivity between Asia, the Middle East and Europe. China
Pakistan Economic Corridor is journey towards economic regionalization in the globalized
world.
The corridor will be a strategic game changer in the region and would go a long way
in making Pakistan a richer and stronger entity Pakistan into a regional economic center.

Karachi – Peshawar Motorway envisages
construction / development of 6-Lane access
controlled Motorway having total length of
1,100 Km. the proposed Motorway shall be a
tolled facility. It shall originate from Karachi
through Motorway M-9 (136 Km) up to
Hyderabad. From Hyderabad onwards, the
proposed alignment shall follow a virgin
alignment for 345 Km up to Sukkur. The
Sukkur Multan section, 392 Km essentially
follows the Left Bank of River Indus.

Project Description Project Title: Construction of Havelian Dry port
including cargo handling facilities.

To meet the demand of containerized future freight
traffic in connection with Pak-China Economic
Corridor, the dry port will be established at
Havelian by utilizing the railway land, railhead
facilities, high speed / capacity stock, and potential
of well-established off-dock terminal for handling
bonded import / export containers. Pakistan
Railway network exist up to Havelian Railway
Station situated at more than 680 Kms from
Khunjrab (China border). The station is coming on
Pak-China economic corridor. Initially it will act as
Dry Port / container terminal for goods traffic
coming through road from China through KKH.
Transshipment arrangement will be provided at
Havelian for loading / unloading on railway wagons.

The fiber optical cable covers an area of 820 km.The projects will help
