• Reporting to Senior Manager Transmission HQ Islamabad.
• Providing nationwide advance level technical support to regional and NOC
Teams for core and metro transmission networks.
• Network optimization of Core and Metro Optical Transmission Network (SDH,
PTN & DWDM)
• Redesigning/Re-engineering to remove SPOFs, Traffic Load balancing, and
Topology Enhancements to achieve best protection, and getting them
implemented with coordination of concern teams.
• Analyzing cutover plans provided by regional/Project teams and leading them.
• Transmission Link Engineering (Optical Link Budgeting).
• Provisioning and implementation of contingency plans for emergency outages
(SDH, DWDM, PTN).
• Ensuring core Transmission network availability at 99.999%, taking respective
measures to maintain it.
• Coordinating and implementing new transmission network entities (PTN,
Wavelengths and SDH).
• Created and configured PTN rings and related services.
• Weekly reports regarding fiber breakdowns, network availability/outages.
