55-93 Knightsbridge & 1-4 William
Street
Concept Design
Proposed demolition of the existing
rear extensions behind retained
Grade II listed facade, designed by
architect Caroe in 1902.
The new built mass of 4 floors
above ground floor is set behind
and do not exceeds in height the
existing retained facade on
Knightsbridge, while its volume
does not breach the ROL envelope.
A new basement level is added to
the existing one in order to provide
car parking spaces and services to
the residential units located at 3rd
4th and 5th floor, to the office units
at 1st and 2nd, and to the retail
units occupying the ground floor. At
either ends of the building is
located a residential entrance, one
on Wilton Place and one on William
Street which imply the demolition of
1-4 William Street and the design of
a new facade.
