2. About the project
Officially created on July 30, 2012, the project DARE 2DREAM (“Dare to dream”), is a project
of AIESEC in Londrina, which aims to bring students from other countries (trainees) to vol-
unteer for 6 weeks, develop social activities NGOs in the city of Londrina.
The NGOs in the city don’t have many resources, so our proposal is to offer a sustainable
project, because the proposal is that in the futur
e, the own exchange students will be responsible to raise money for the project expansion
and then more NGOs (and in the future schools) will be able to have access to this cultural
diversity.
The name Dare 2Dream (“Dare to dream”) was inspired by the fact that, by past experiences,
when the exchange students arrive at the city, they bring hope to the people of NGOs and
they show them that it is POSSIBLE to DREAM higher. Their project makes people, who have
never left their neighborhood, believe that if they strive and dedicate themselves to their
studies, sports and cultural activities, yes, they can dream and go far beyond the current
reality that they’re living.
So the main idea of the project is to link the people of the NGOs with the world, aiming to
make those people to WANT to go HIGHER. To DARE them TO DREAM.
How the project will do that? Bringing students from all over the world close to this per-
sons.
