2. My Journey
• Veteran of The United Sates Air Force- been working 12 hour
shifts days/swings/night on and off since first joining
• After the Military I eventually became a civilian Contractor
overseas; where I worked 12 to 14 hour days and night, with out
any days off, and RR every 3-4 months.
• Upon returning home is when I began having issues sleeping and
adjusting to regular life.
• Just exercising I injured myself. Experiencing weak muscles.
3. • Upon my move from NY to Texas, I was attempting to
launch my coaching business. So, many of my activities
were in support of learning and being able to provide the
best services.
• It was also at that time I started experiencing issues
pertaining to sleeping and waking up consistently at around
2 to 3:00 am, while sweating; also known as a hot flash.
4. Light bulb moment
• After attending Seminar on stress and getting acupuncture to try
to heal my body. It became clear as to what I was experiencing.
• Part of the seminar was a free acupuncture treatment. It was at my
first appointment, where I found out I had chronic fatigue.
• The whole time I had been experiencing the symptoms and didn’t
have any clue as to why I was feeling the way I was.
5. Symptoms
• The inability to lose weight
• The muscle weakness from exercising; then injuring myself.
• Trouble sleeping and then waking with hot flashes.
• High blood pressure when sitting in the rest position; low while in
the working position/standing
• Sugar crash
6. Results
• My actions as a result of receiving the diagnosis was to research
• Find out what exactly this diagnoses meant.
• Make a conscious choice to not accept my current situation.
• Start making changes in my lifestyle.
• Remove food, people, and situations that no longer served me.
• Incorporate the necessary food, nutrition, activities that ultimately led
me to heal.
