8. First Things First
Module one: Course orientation
• Open and read each file, and post any
questions or concerns in the Discussion Forum
• Read the introduction from your instructor in
the Forum, write yours and post it
• Go to ‘Communications’ and click on ‘internal
mail’ and send a copy of your introduction as
an email to your instructor – you will receive a
reply from your instructor afterwards

9. Final points to remember
• Work online 4-6 hours per week
• Use LEARN internal mail for all email communication
• Post questions and concerns in the discussion forum
• Collaborate with a technology buddy to meet all deadlines
• Post assignments by the due date (due before midnight)
• Assume responsibility for the integrity of coursework submitted
• Cite all sources of information
• Seek support to improve written work deemed below standard
• Learn using your preferred learning style* and modality
