1. NOW – every one of us deserves a second chance. We need a fair and just
verdict

1. Justification is a legal act whereby man's status before God is changed for the
good.
3. Why we need to be justified?
1. Justification removes the guilt and penalty of sin.
2. It is the judicial act of God which, on account of Christ, to whom the sinner is united
by faith
3. He declares that sinner to be no longer exposed to the penalty of the law, but
restored to His favor
10. CANNOT BE JUSTIFIED THROUGH SELF-MERIT
A. Our own effort to be self-righteous, religious, good works, following God’s law,
church membership will not accepted by God.
A. Isaiah 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as
filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken
us away.
B. James 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he
is guilty of all.
12. JUSTIFIED BY HIS BLOOD
A. 1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship
one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all
sin.
B. Ephesians 1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness
of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

13. THE POWER OF HIS BLOOD
A. Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet
sinners, Christ died for us.
A. “commendeth” – expressed/demonstrated in action or deeds
B. “love” – sacrificial, enduring, perfect, passeth man’s understanding, freely,
everlasting
B. Jeremiah 31:3 Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love
C. Hosea 14:4 I will love them freely
D. Hebrews 8:12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and
their iniquities will I remember no more.
14. THROUGH HIM(JESUS CHRIST)
A. John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man
cometh unto the Father, but by me.
B. Acts 20:21 Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance
toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.
15. WILL YOU DESIRE TO BE FREE FROM THE WRATH
TO COME?
A. Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and
shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt
be saved.
