Creating Huge Design and Requirement Gathering Upfront.
Completing and perfecting the design of the product/solution before the actual implementation starts.
Predictions on Project Completion.
Planning releases smartly, that is most important items should get higher priorities. Never predict on
completion of projects haphazardly.
Death March.
A project that has a fixed release date with fixed functionality and fixed resources - resulting in crazy
demands from management that developers work extra long hours and weekends.
Forcing Behaviours
Tools that enforce certain behavioural pattern to the project execution. Example: Task management
tools.
Top-Down Management Control
Only people on the top allowed to make executive decisions on how something should be done and
people who actually need to implement it has less to no say on those decisions.
