2. Social issues are topics or subjects that
impact many people. They often
reflect current events but also
represent longstanding problems or
disagreements that are difficult to
solve. In this presentation I will be
representing some less known along
with some serious social issues in the
form of a collage and their causes.

4. Environmental Pollution
Environmental pollution, as we
all know, is a very serious issue.
Human activities have an
adverse effect on the
environment by polluting the
water we drink, the air we
breathe, and the soil in which
plants grow. Deforestation,
burning of fossil fuels, factories
are only a few causes of
pollution.
5. We define corruption as the abuse of entrusted power for
private gain.
Corruption erodes trust, weakens democracy, hampers
economic development and further exacerbates inequality,
poverty, social division and the environmental crisis. It is
said that the vast population is the major cause of
corruption. Some more causes are greediness, low income
and a relatively low level of education.

7. Decline of Vultures
Once death has been detected, the turkey vulture lands and quickly
scavenges.
It has been reported that the two species of vultures, the Oriental White-
backed Vulture and the Long-billed Vulture Gyps indicus, have declined in
population by more than 90 per cent throughout India.
Cause - Some species of vulture like the Oriental White-backed Vulture
prefer to make their nest on coconut trees. But when the trees are chopped
off, the vultures lose their home. Some of the vultures they studied were f
ound to be suffering from Malaria.
Another reason for the decline in vulture population
quoted by the experts is shortage of food. This is
because the central government has given a
directive to villagers to bury the carcasses of dead
animals in order to keep villages clean. While the
effort is good, the lack of animal carcasses leaves
the vulture hungry and without food.
8. Identity Crisis
Identity crisis is when people tend to hide their identities.
Any type of crisis can also result in a decline in your
mental health.
Oftentimes, identity crises or other mental health issues can
arise due to major life stressors. These stressors don’t have
to be inherently bad, but they can still cause a lot of stress,
which makes you question who you are and what you value.
9. Loneliness
Loneliness can also be attributed to internal factors such as
low self-esteem. People who lack confidence in themselves
often believe that they are unworthy of the attention or
regard of other people. This can lead to isolation and chronic
loneliness.
10. Superstitions
A superstition is any belief or practice
considered by non-practitioners to be
irrational or supernatural
SOME COMMON SUPERSTITIONS -
Black Cats: Bad Luck
A cat crossed road: Bad
luck
The number 13:bad luck
Superstitions primarily represent the undeying inherent
fear of mankind, caused by the uncertainties of this
world. In a way, it is a sign of acceptance of our
ignorance and limitations of our power.
