Physical exercise includes training that
focuses on accuracy, agility, power, and

Types of exercise can also be classified as
dynamic or sta c. 'Dynamic' exercises such
as steady running, tend to produce a
lowering of the diastolic blood pressure
during exercise, due to the improved blood

transiently, during the performance of the

It is performed for various reasons: to aid

Many individuals choose to exercise

Physical exercises are generally grouped

Aerobic exercise is any physical ac vity
that uses large muscle groups and causes
the body to use more oxygen than it

exercise is to increase cardiovascular

Anaerobic exercise, which includes
strength and resistance training, can

Children who par cipate in physical exercise experience greater loss of body fat and increased

Ÿ IMMUNESYSTEM
Although there have been hundreds of studies on physical exercise and the immune system,
there is li le direct evidence on its connec on to illness.[29] Epidemiological evidence suggests
that moderate exercise has a beneficial effect on the human immune system; an effect which is

Inferiority complex, according to the oxford advanced learning dic onary, is a feeling

Now, going to superiority complex – this is a feeling that you are be er than other people, o en
as a way of hiding your feelings. Superiority complex is a feeling similar to pride. And you know
Godresiststheproud.
Superiority complex is an obnoxious character to put up, and there are so many instances where
superiority complex can be used. We kids and also teens are likely to do this. This is because we

About 70% of the surface of the earth is
water. There are many oceans and seas
like: The Atlan c Ocean, the Pacific
Ocean,theRedSeaetc.
Water is very important to man. It is the
most special natural resource of all. It is
used for many things like: plan ng,
bathing,drinking,makingjuiceetc.There
are so many ac vi es done in water like :
fishing , swimming and sailing. Water is
also important to plants because without
it,plantscannotgrow.
Sadly though, we know that water is
ge ng polluted because of our
industries and other human ac vi es.
The country keeps building more
industries, so our oceans and seas keep
ge ng polluted. Some people even use
the water as their toilets – that too is a
seriouspollutant.
Water pollu on also affects the aqua c
animals, especially the fishes. The
government tries to clean the oceans,
but we s ll make it dirty. I wish our

A country without youths with standard values has no future. By
corrup on of youths, the fate of our beloved country is at stake
and one of those ways is through shows and other programmes.

America hosts a global talent show “ America's got Talent”. The
pla orm of the show is so entertaining that people from around
the globe travel far and wide to perform there. But in Nigeria, we
display shows that cannot be watched by others outside Africa. If
we take out such and bring in shows that will let young people

Another problem that has not only affected Nigeria but the en re

Singapore, Dubai and the rest, you will observe they have one
thing which we don't have, Good Leadership. These places do not
have as much natural resources as Africa; yet, they are very
advanced. Nigeria has everything provided to be great, but we
don't use most of them. If we have high quality refineries to turn

23. Everyna onoftheworldhasitsmasterkeylikegoodleadershipandgovernmenttoglobal
economicdevelopment,butIwillbedwellingontheuseofnaturalresources.
First of all, what are natural resources: Natural resources are materials that are nurtured
by nature, and exploited for economic gain. Some of them are gold, diamond, crude oil,
limestone, etc. All these examples of natural resources can be found in any country in the
world today, and as men oned, they are used for the economic gain growth of
countries. Some people may ask how valuable these resources are to the world
(Individuals and countries). Well, as I can imagine, a diamond can bring someone a large
fortune depending on its weight. For example: 1.0 carats of diamond is worth $2,500 -
$18,000. And 3.0 carats of diamond is worth $7,200 - $51,000. So the value of the
resources whether silver, gold, pearls etc, is dependent on the weight and size. Not only
can natural resources build up the global economy, but they can also be a major means of
makingaccessorieslikevases,watches,jewelry,andplates.
The ques on now is how can these resources be processed to finished products like
changing crude oil to petroleum? These are made possible in ac ve and well equipped
factories. For countries with good industrial facili es, they can convert their natural
resources to finished products and export them to countries for advancement in the
economicsystem.

Everyone has a dream to achieve in his or
her life. Some people dream of becoming
famous, popular, and rich. Some dream in
the day, while some at night. The
dreaming in the day is called “Day
Dreaming”. Experts do not know for sure
why we dream, but there are some
hypotheses why we do this.
For pleasure: there are some things we
cannot do in real life; so when we do them
in dreams, it gives us pleasure.
We grew up with the mentality that all
dreams come true; however, that is not
always true. Dreams happen mostly when
we are in the stage of sleep.
In my understanding, there are two(2)
types of dreams.
1. Physical: this is the one that is common
in the world. It is the
type that everybody must have
experienced. In your sleep, it knocks and
visits.
2. Spiritual: this is the type that is common
among Chris ans'. This is what you plan to
achieve in future.
A short poem on DREAM
It could be cold,
It could be bold.
It holds you down,
When you do not fight it out
But it can also hold you up not to
drown,
When you push to stay afloat.
The dream is a strong hold,
That is like a blindfold,
It could be “GOLD”
Or it could be mere sha untold.
In the world of a dream,
There are place holders,
In the world of a dream,
You've to carry your future on your
shoulders,
A DREAM

32. nsecurity means uncertainty about oneself. It is also the condi on of being exposed or
Iopenedtodangerorthreat.
Educa onistheprocessoflearning,developingofskills,habits,beliefsandvalues.
Insecurity can affect educa on in several ways. For example: some parents might be le with no
choice but to keep their child/children away from school. A typical example is what is happening
in North-eastern Nigeria where Boko Haram kidnaps students; they also damage and destroy
someoftheschoolbuildings.
Insecurity can also increase the number of illiterates in the country which eventually will affect
every sector of the economy. This is because the number of poor people will be high. Educated
individuals have be er opportuni es in future. They can get good jobs or become employers of
labour themselves. Insecurity can also force the government to declare a state of emergency,
thus shu ng down and suspending normal ac vi es which will prevent children from going to
school.
Children that are found in an insecure environment tend to live in constant fear and this affects
them psychologically. And as such, it makes them have low grades if the situa on is not properly
handled.
One of the ways to tackle insecurity is to ensure the educa onal system is working and the low
income earners can have access to free educa on. When a child is educated, he or she won't
thinkofcarryingarmsbecauseofthepoten alsthatcomewithbeingeducated.
A way of overcoming insecurity is by intellectual development. Intellectual development has to
do with educa ng pupils on how to form opinions properly without over-analysing. Listen and

PEER PRESSURE
igeria is our great country
Nwhich was colonized by the
British. The name 'Nigeria'
originated from the expression 'Niger
area'. This name was a coinage by Flora
Shaw, who later became the wife of Lord
Luggard, the country's first Governor
General.
Before all of these happened, the Benin
Empire was put at risk by the British.
They stole all the Benin artifacts, all the
terracotta heads, and then kept them in
their museums all over the world.
Museums that only people of dignity and
class entered. If we still had those
artifacts, I wonder how Nigeria would
havebeenlike.
Even when they stole them from us, and
even if you're a first class citizen of
Nigeria, they still will not allow you to
entertheirmuseums.
I believe that Nigeria would have been
known worldwide if we still had those
artifacts.
All hail Nigerian, as Nigeria hopes to
become exactly what the Western World is
