4. Technical:
 Development of Packages for integration of Oracle database and IBM Sterling
Commerce.
 Inbound EDI Transactions: Development of packages/custom APIs to transfer the data
from EDI flat file (fixed length) to Oracle database. Includes custom procedures and
functions to read the data from flat file and insert them into staging tables, validation of
the data with oracle data and inserting the data into interface tables.
 Inbound EDI Transactions are in the format of ANSI X12. Transactions included are EDI
850 (PO from customer), EDI 846 (Inventory Snapshot), EDI 945 (Shipment
Confirmation), EDI 944 (Receipt confirmation), EDI 947 (Inventory Adjustment) and EDI
844 (Chargeback from customer).
 Outbound EDI Transactions: Design and development of custom APIs/Packages to
transfer the data from Oracle Database to EDI flat file. This includes writing data from
Oracle database to a flat file.
 Outbound EDI Transactions include EDI 856 (Advance Shipment Notification), EDI 940
(Warehouse Shipment Order), EDI 810 (AR invoice/Credit Memo) and EDI 849 (Response
to EDI 844).
 Development of package to transfer the data from csv files to interface tables in
database. The developments were made to upload AP Invoices, GL Journals and ChRM
Claims.
 Development of custom reports using Oracle Reports Builder. Few of them are Purchase
Order report, Sales Order report, Pick Slip report and AR Invoice report.
 Development of custom reports using XML Publisher. Purchase Register, Credit Register,
Price List report, Inventory Adjustment report, gross to net report, sales register etc.
 Personalization of forms based on the requirements. Few of the requirements were like
to restrict the SO quantities in multiples of 6, user must not be allowed to enter both
controlled and non controlled items in the same PO or SO, user must not enter the list
price in PO, the SO must not be booked if the addresses at header and line level differ,
etc.
