RESPONSIBILITY AND OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT
The whole construction work shall be carried out as per PUBLIC WORK
DEPARTMENT /M.O.R.T. and H./I.R.C. and all the construction work related
to this project controlled by these government organisation .DESIGN OF
SLAB
Slabs are to be designed under limit state method by reference of IS 456-2000
When the slab are supported in two way direction it acts as two way
supported slab.
A two way slab is economical compared to one way slab.
9. SLAB DESIGN:
Fck=20 N/mm2 Fy=415 N/mm2
SPAN
i. Shorter span :- Lx=9.8m
Longer span :-Ly=14.62m
ii. Check Ly/Ly=14.62/9.8 =1.4<2
Hence the slab has to be designed as “two way slab”
iii. Providing over all depth of slab as ,150mm
eff. depth =depth -20-diameter/2
=120-20-10/2
=125mm
iv. Condition:- supported on four sides.
v. Lode calculation:-
Dead load =25x0.15x1 =3.75 KN/m
Live lode =2x1 =2.0KN/m
Floor finish =1x1 =1.0KN/m
=6.75KN/m
Bending moment:-
(+)B.M. at mid span in sorter direction
Mx(+)=ax(+)wlx2
=0.049x6x9.8^2
=28.235Kn-m
Factored B.M =28.235x1.5
= 42.353Kn-m
10. SPACING AND DIAMETER:-
Provide 8mm dia bar at 210mm spacing
(-ve)B.M. at continuous edge in shorter direction.
Mx(-)=ax(-)wlx2
= 0.062x6x(9.8)^2
=36.386Kn-m
Factored B.M. =36.386x1.554.579Kn-m
(+)B.M.at mid spane in longer direction .
My(+)=ay(+)wlx2
=0.035x6x(9.8)^2
=20.168Kn-m
Factored B.M. =20.168x1.5
=30.252Kn-m
Check for depth:-
Permissible depth =100mm
Mu. Lim. = 0.36*Xumax/d(1-0.42Xumax/d)fck*bd^2
42.35x10^6=0.36*Xumax/d(1-0.42x0.48)15x10000d^2
d=33.6015<100mm
Hence ok.
11. CONCRETING

aggregate 40 mm nominal size mechanically mixed placed in foundation and

drawing and technical specification as per IS code 45-2000.
3 construction of footpath over RCC slab 100 mm thick ,over laid with pre-cast
concrete tiles in cement mortar 1:3 as per IS code 456-2000.
Hand mixing Concrete

EXPERIENCE
This is very wonderful experiance . I felt very comfortable with engineers and
labours at Chandauli. The engineers detected to us sincerely all things and at
governing .They easely solve it with in simple words .there are also available
the primary medical treatment at the site in the condition for any injuries and it
is one of the most best condition at the site .
