My name is phillip walton I am currently doing my final year at a small college in the capital
Windhoek I have been here at lingua international college here since 2014 amdoing a three year
course in Information Technology, I am what you call a programmer I am an Entrepreneur am
doing IT generalI did Html ,currently amdoing html PHP ,networking, Java, c++vb.net, computer,
systemrepair, systemmaintenance etc. this is my final year last year I did my diploma now I am
doing an advanced diploma , I plan on doing a degree after my advance diploma. I believe I can
change Namibia and Africa, and you can help me do that. Let’s both change the Namibia. I see
so many problems I can solve in our country.
Background
Here is a little about me, my name is Phillip Walton born in 1991 in Oshivelo the Gate to the
north. My Father passed on within two months of my Birth He was a PLAN fighter My mother left
me as a baby with a friend of hers who raised me until I turned four but during this period that I
was in her care I was mistreated so I ran away from home. I stayed three years on the streets,
sleeping in a broken dark blue ford that was in some accident couple years back. I used to beg
for food and money from people that would pass by and this is how I survived. One day when I
was about seven I met this white lady and she took me in she let me live with people that worked
for her and I stay with them for 6 months in a town called Tsumeb until I was sent to go to
children's home, an American sponsored children home in a town called Grootfontein that is
where I learned to read and write that is where I saw my first computer I loved playing games on
it but only Educational games like ones created by jumper start a company in the united the
make the next year now I have conditional love for computers and technology internet. I started
school at age of 8, I stayed here for 5 years the then in 2005 June came back to Tsumeb and I
lived with this white family.They took me in as one of their own but I was never officiallyadopted.
I completed my high school in 2011. I had several jobs from 2012 until I registered for college in
November 2013, in 2014 is when I started college. People who influenced me are BillGates,Mark
Zuckerberg, Steve Jobs may he Rest in Peace, I want to be a philanthropist I want to help people
in the sameposition as Iam by educating them first.My interest is to acquire as much intelligence
is possible Because knowledge is power and with power I can change the world just as Bill Gates
is doing today.
