Founded in 1989, Soccer in the
Streets has worked with over 75,000
kids in Atlanta to build a network of
soccer-themed youth development
programs.
5. Where we go…
• We work in low-income
neighborhoods in collaboration
with schools, community centers,
churches, other charities (such
as City of Refuge, Girls Inc.) and
the City of Atlanta .
6. What we do …
• Programming for younger kids
includes the teaching of life skills
such as respect, communication
and teamwork.
• Programming for teens & young
adults includes enrichment
activities and preparation for life
beyond the field and classroom.

12. New Developments at Soccer in the Streets
Number of students doubled in 2011 vs 2010 to 1405,
with expansion primarily focused in City of Atlanta recreation
centers and Decatur/DeKalb/Clarkston elementary schools
and community center.
We started coaching at City of Atlanta rec centers and
operated programs in 6 different centers in 2011.
Income doubled in 2011 vs 2010
We received a major grant from the Coca-Cola Foundation
to fund our new School of Life employability programs.
