Peter Gatling learned about advancements in technology from constructing a media product. Using a digital camera allowed for filming over multiple days to maintain continuity despite weather changes. Powerful editing software like iMovie enabled stringing together the raw footage into a story and adding effects like a sunburst to dark footage, making it appear streetlights were brightly glowing. 2. From the process of manufacturing our media product I’ve found that the advancements in technology have made it possible to compete this course. As by using a digital camera you are able to capture a whole days worth of filming, therefore being able to sustain a certain level of continuity in terms of weather and then you are able to edit the raw film in a matter of hours. Not only stringing the basic story together but also being able to add a wide range of effects to the piece adding additional textures that would otherwise be impossible to do. Here we filmed in the dark and by using the editing program imovie we were able to add a sunburst effect giving the appearance that the street lights were giving of a bright orange glow
