Delivery Center in Madrid was established
in 1992. Located in Pozuelo de Alarcón,

Málaga, a city on the Mediterranean coast,

schools as well as Málaga University. From
this prime location, the Accenture Delivery
Center in Málaga provides Solutioncentric

As part of a rigorous training program for
the Accenture Global Delivery Network,
our delivery center professionals in Spain
receive training on the Accenture Delivery
Suite, an approach that focuses on a set
of standardized delivery assets, processes
and metrics. The Accenture Delivery Suite
helps facilitate service transition, increase
application development and management
productivity and reliability, and support
ongoing operations—all while reducing
client risk.
Using this approach, the Accenture Delivery
Centers in Spain have served 150 clients
in 20 countries, with an emphasis on
SAP- and Oracle-based solutions for the
communications & high tech, banking,
retail, oil and utilities industries. Clients
include British Telecom, Carrefour, Compañía
Española de Petróleos, S.A. (CEPSA),
European Aeronautic Defense and Space
Company, Fremap, RENFE (the Spanish
national railway) and SAP AG.
In one client example, the delivery center
professionals in Madrid and Málaga are
providing Telefónica with maintenance
services for more than 100 existing billing,
mobile services and supplies applications.
Among other things, the delivery center
team is working on application renewal
(inverse engineering, technical
documentation, software quality) and
evolutionary maintenance for mainframe
and Java C/++ (technical design, support
and integration test). Equally important,
the two centers are pursuing quality and
productivity improvement programs to
increase the level of service provided to
Telefónica.
