When you use a search engine like Google to find something online, have you ever wondered how certain results show up on the first page? If you type in the name of your organization, chances are it will be on the first page of results. But, does your website turn up if you type in a general set of keywords that are related to your business?

In this session on search engine optimization basics, we'll discuss the importance of keywords that define your business and how they should be used on your website. We will also define on-page and off-page optimization and discuss why these two practices are important for your business. Finally, we will touch on black hat SEO practices that should be avoided.
