Descriptive Essay On The Photographer
The Photographer The last thing he saw was his own body laying on the road. He was like every other man in the world, he would wake up take a
shower, get dressed, brush his teeth, eat breakfast, then head off to work, and repeat over and over. For now we'll just call him "The
photographer." He works as a photographer for a magazine company. He got to work and looked for his boss, when he found him the boss said
"Hey! There's my favorite Photographer! Hey! I need you to go take photos of eerie and creepy places for our Halloween edition, Halloween is
only 2 days away!" So the Photographer got online and searched for old abandoned houses and for old cemeteries, While he was searching he
found the perfect site to take pictures. It was the oldest house in the state, while he was looking at the picture of the house it was rumored to be
haunted. He shook his head in disbelief. So he got directions to the house and it was 2 hours away, so he emailed his boss saying he would be
gone for a while. He left his apartment and locked his door and walked out of the building. He drove to the nearest gas station to fuel up his car,
while he was there he bought some snacks and supplies for the trip, he bought a bottle of water, a flashlight, batteries, and some potato chips. When
he heard the ding of the gas pump indicating it was done he took the gas pump out of his car and started his car and headed off to the old house.
While he was driving he looked at the time on his phone and it read

An Essay On Landscape Photography
Landscape Photography
You can follow some rules for getting beautiful image. For Landscape Photography following the techniques, you will hold the perfect moment and get
vivid pictures. Thus, you will be able to capture some amazing beauty that you see.
Learn More About Landscape Photography
Reading the article, you will learn more about Landscape Photography. Here are given some techniques to follow.
1. Depth of field
Many landscape photographers desire an image which appears sharp throughout the scene, so that elements of foreground interest, such as a rock in a
lake, look just as sharp as the distant horizon. This can be achieved relatively easily using the principles of depth of field whereby the smaller an
aperture you use, such as f/22, the greater the area both before and beyond the point of focus also...show more content...
Capture Movement
Most people think about landscapes they think of calm, serene and passive environments ā€“ however landscapes are rarely completely still and to
convey this movement in an image will add drama, mood and create a point of interest. Wind in trees, waves on a beach, water flowing over a
waterfall, birds flying over head, moving clouds make image nice.
Capturing this movement generally means you need to look at a longer shutter speed. This means more light hitting your sensor which will mean you
need to either go for a small Aperture, use some sort of a filter or even shoot at the start or end of the day when there is less light.
8. Work with the Weather
A scene can change dramatically depending upon the weather at any given moment. So, choosing the right time to shoot is of real importance. An
overcast day threatening to rain might provide you with a much better opportunity to create an image with real mood and ominous overtones. Look for
storms, wind, mist, dramatic clouds, sun shining through dark skies, rainbows, sunsets and sunrises etc and work with these variations in the weather
rather than just waiting for the next sunny blue sky

Thesis Statement About Photography
The purpose of my study is to give people a chance to understand what is the meaning of photography and how it was invented, plus how people was
able to take photographs before the camera was invented.
The significance of my study is that nowadays, a lot of people or its better to say most of people thinks that they know everything about photography
and they think that they are an experts and a professional photographers once they hold the camera or actually once they hold a digital cameras (since
a lot of them think that the digital cameras are more easy), but actually they do not even know what photography is. In fact, I see this situation is a
big problem because I believe that to be a real or an expert photographer, the person...show more content...
As I mentioned before that all the references and bibliographies have the same information about how photography was before it got invented and
about how did photography started and how it got developed from year to year and from century to century. From that time until today Photography
has developed too much and I believe it will keep on developing from day to day and from year to year. Photography became so much easier than
before, there is a huge difference between cameras these days and cameras from that time, and only god knows what they will invent and how it will
be developed more in the coming

Photography By Paul Graham: Article Analysis
I enjoyed this article by Paul Graham because it gave me insight on photography outside of an academic setting. In class, I am accustomed to
tailoring my projects to focus on a rubric to a receive a good grade. Being judged on a creative matter like photography causes me to revisit my work
often before deciding that it is finished, which is good. However, it often obstructs my creative thinking because it causes me to have anxiety with
fitting in the parameters of the assignment, since there are other factors that I don't think about when I am in the moment, such as tonal consistency and
various photographic grammars. Luckily, editing often helps me achieve the results I want and helps alleviate that stress. This article also really

I started learning photography 2 years ago. As a beginner I had very little knowledge about photography and editing. But as time passed I started to
learn some more important stuff about this profession. As I became progressively fascinated with photography, a consuming passion started to increase
inside of me. The need to take photos was enamoring. And today Photography is now a way of expressing myself and I'm known as a good
photographer at many companies, hotels, schools, conferences and etc. I've worked as a photographer in 2 hotels this summer, I've edited a
sponsor video for a company, and in so many international schools I'm being called to take pictures because I'm known as my school's head media.
Also I'm a teacher of my own class about video and photo editing at school. I teach more than 10 students, and I'm hoping they'll be great editors in
the future too. Along with this class, I'm going to open my own Photography class soon. This year I started to feel that this passion has changed into
an obsession. The reason why I consider myself as a good photographer is because I'm capable of doing marvelous things with my camera and editing
skills. A decent photographer would dependably be looking for good landscapes or occasions to catch great moments and I am glad to be one among
them.
Along with individual work of mine, I also first think about my team. Because teamwork is a gathering of individuals with different corresponding
abilities, cooperating towards a

In times, we often see things, but we don't really capture what is beyond it. In some cases, there are people who are artistic and are prone to see what
other's cannot visualize. Every individual has a talent which can be expressed and processed differently. Something you see can mean entirely
divergent things to someone else;for example, some may see thing's that may seem simple, but in the eyes of an artist, it can be perceived with a whole
new definition, dimension, and a potentially new discovery. As a photographer, my view of theworld, can be skewed towards looking at everyday
objects as potential art, but it wasn't always like that.

Each week I would strive to get the best comment of criticism and the best photo of the week. Everyday we were intellectually taught about the
different principles of photography; for me it wasn't a hassle to learn it; it was more of an excitement a new adventure.
As I became increasingly fascinated with photography, a burning passion became to increase inside of me. The need to take photographs was
captivating; not only was it for a grade, but an escape I used to drown my feelings. Photography was now becoming a way of expressing myself.
Excitement rushed through my veins as the teacher would announce my name for the best photo of the week; an unforgettable feeling that would
fulfill my ambition and made me feel virtuoso. After the end of the first semester, I began to feel as if a transformation begun inside of me. A
transformation that began as a passion and turned into an obsession. Everywhere I saw I could see all the plain and ordinary things or objects of
everyday life, but suddenly they became a whole new world; a spellbinding sensation that would make me fathom the double meaning of life. For
example, hands are not much of importance to a person with no artistic view, but a photographer may view hands as aging, a sign of unity, caring,
loving, or cry for help.
Determination is the key to fame or an accomplished goal. As stated, winning photo of the week was an enormous accomplishment for me being

so one area of the photograph is more lit to draw more attention to specific area. You could use a shadow effect to add more volume to your image,
generally used for a good three dimensional image. If you were wanting to emphasize a certain texture of an object, this general lights the object from

Top 7 destinations for photographers
I caught my love for photography at an early age, seeing my dad clicking pictures passionately using his now vintage camera, the Kodak Disc 3500.
The bug of photography has never really left me since then and to add to that my dad's encouraging words have always helped me hone my skills as
an amateur photographer.
Over the years, the perfectionist photographer in me has relentlessly looked for the best of locations to shoot some outstanding pictures and that has
made me travel to a great many places. Today, I am here to share with you the top 7 photo destinations that I would highly suggest you must visit if you
are a photographer too.

3. Kenya
Want to capture awesome pictures of wildlife, then Kenya is the place to go to. The variety of species that you get to see in this place is unparalleled
with any other location on the planet. That is the reason why I love travelling to this side of the world, especially Kenya. You will never be tired of
clicking amazing shots here with the most picturesque backgrounds you can ever imagine.
Just remember to be patient and especially to be quiet while photographing on a safari.
4. Morocco
Morocco is bound to amaze you with its diversity; while you are on a visit to this beautiful part of the world, you can check out the famous Rick's
Cafe in Casablanca, get overwhelmed by the rooftop views that Marrakesh offers, and even get to know more about leather dyeing on a visit to the
famous tannery in Fez.
Don't forget to take the sunrise camel ride through the Sahara Desert and experience sleeping in a tent camp under the stars. No matter what you do,
your visit to Morocco is bound to be one of the most unforgettable trips you would have taken as a photographer.
5. Namibia
This may come as a surprise, especially if you are just beginning to take photography trips, Namibia offers one of the most luxurious lodges for you to
stay, along with a variety of wildlife safaris and the visits to the beautiful deserts. One of the main reasons though that attracted me to this place was
the access that you get to the Himba Tribes; Himba women are famous for

Reflection Paper On Photography
As a photography major, it was never clear to me on why I had to take a drawing class. I dreaded each class because of the known fact that I didn't
possess the skills to be a good drawer. When speaking to friends and family, I would always complain to them saying, "I'm going to fail this class. I
have no idea why I have to take these drawing classes." As the quarter went on and the more I learned about the different drawing techniques such as
the use of lighting to create interesting shadows or the use of color to create a sense mood and emotion, I began to realize the parallels that drawing and
photography have.
It's very important to train your eyes as a photographer because you gain new perspective of your surroundings and you begin to pay more attention to
little details. Drawing has helped train my eye to pay attention to details such as lines, shadows, light, proportion, texture, and color. When working
on each drawing project such as the still lifes, portraits, and landscapes, I would notice my eye rapidly going back and forth from the subject to the
paper trying to focus on all the details, whether it be the reflection of light on a cup or vase, the shadows on the busts, or the vibrant colors in the
landscape drawing. I would do my best to try and accurately transfer what was in front of me onto the paper. In order to get the best shot in
photography, photographers have to pay attention to these details to make their photos more interesting to look at. Without

The Test of Time: The Power of the Photograph
What is a photograph? The simplicity of taking a photograph leads many to ponder its artistic value. Yet, it is undeniable that there are some photos
that cause an emotional reaction deeper than simply observing a recorded point in time. Surely, there are photographs that cause more reaction than
some modern art pieces. There seems to be two types of photographs. The first classification is the 'time capture' photo ā€“ an image with the sole
purpose of recording a particular event or point in time. The second nature of a photo carries a 'deeper meaning,' which has the ability to change the
observer's mood and cause a reaction. But what distinguishes these two varieties? There are a...show more content...
There is clearly an artistic value to this image ā€“ it is taken at the location of a massacre of over 200 members of the Great Sioux Nation. However, did
Elliot Erwitt intend a 'deeper meaning' for this photograph? In an interview recorded on his official website, Erwitt declares, "If it turns out to be
entertaining what I do, I'm very pleased. But it's not conscious." It seems that Erwitt claims to not possess artistic intent in his photographs.
However, it is clear that he simply boasts an unconscious artistic eye. It is obvious that the photograph of this church on hallowed ground falls in
the 'deeper meaning' category. The second Elliot Erwitt photo is taken from his official webpage. It too is captured in black and white. The photo,
shown in Figure 2 was taken in France and depicts a man and child riding a bicycle down a road lined with trees. This seems to be a 'time capture'
photo; this particular event can never be perfectly replicated again. Despite the category in which this photo clearly falls into, it is undoubtedly still art
ā€“ the setting is too perfect to be unintentional. However, according to Erwitt in his interview, unintentional is exactly the correct word. Erwitt states, "I
take pictures of anything that interests me as I walk around with my camera." This means that many of his photos are taken on a whim; the right place
at the right time. In this case it is the viewer who makes the distinction between

Why I Want to Be a Photographer
Photography is the process of taking photographs and printing them out. Mostly used for personal purposes, photography is a common object in our
everyday lives. It is used to make memories, track the course of our lives, and simply capture the beauty of and event or object.
The typical day of a photographer is quit diverse. In a typical day photographer photographs subjects or news worthy events, using still cameras ā€“such
as a family, person, animal, wedding, graduation, birthday, place, or other object. They determine desired images and picture composition, such as
when a customer wants blemishes removed. Their cameras need to be adjusted on a regular basis. They are constantly creating artificial lights and
backgrounds to reach the desired effect of the customer. If using a camera that contains film they must have the film processed. Hours are spent going
through hundreds of photos to select the best photo(s). They also use computer software to adjust and enhance the images. (Institute, Typical Day, 2011)
I chose this career for several reasons. The first, is because my aunt is a photographer. She introduced me to photography at a young age and I have been
interested ever since. I love taking photographs of anything, but mostly nature such as animals, and natural happenings. I enjoy taking a photograph of
something that most people would, at first, consider ugly, and making it beautiful, simply because of angles or lighting. It truly fascinates me that your

The Brown sisters might gather occasionally together throughout a year, but there is one day out of every year where they have a photograph of
them taken to capture their sisterhood. In the beginning of the series of photographs the sisters have a serious case of resting b*tch face. From 1975
to 1979, the sisters all have a hardened expression, and even after that there are occasional smirks, but the same look remains. Each photograph shows
the sisters aging, and while they age their appearance becomes softer. This could be because of the experiences they have such as pregnancy and
motherhood, or other events that could affect their life, and result in them aging softly. Because one can see the sisters age throughout the course of

Clearly, she is not so young anymore, so this may or may not be her first child, but each of her sisters are happy for her, because you can see it in
their expression. This is the first photograph where all of the sisters are smiling, and appear affectionate. The one sister on the left has her hand on the
pregnant sister's belly, and the sister on the right is gazing at her, so her happiness is towards her sister's expectancy. Each sister is open and
welcoming of a new member, and their softened demeanor is because of this pregnancy. One might think that motherhood ages a woman terribly,
because of the stress a child can cause, and one can see that after the 1992 photograph. Yet nothing is greater than thelove that a mother has for her
child, and the bond that she has to it, and because she has this love it softens her. While they may transition into shriveled old woman, they retain the

notice how the sisters have matured, and developed into gentle old ladies who seem dignified with their

Essay on The History of Photography
The History of Photography The name "Photography" comes from the Greek words for light and writing. Sir John Herschel, was the first to use the
term photography in 1839, when he managed to fix images using hyposulphite of soda. He described photography as "The application of the chemical
rays to the purpose of pictorial representation". Herschel also coined the terms "negative", "positive" and "snapshot". But a man called de la Roche
(1729 ā€“ 1774), wrote Giphantie and in this imaginary tale, it was possible to capture images from nature, on a canvas which had been coated with a
sticky substance and this would produce a mirror image on the sticky canvas, that fixed after it had been dried in the dark. There are two distinct...show

The earliest record of the uses of a camera obscura can be found in the writings and drawings of Leonardo da Vinci (1452ā€“1519). At about the same
period Daniel Barbaro, a Venetian, recommended the camera as an aid to drawing. He wrote: "Close all shutters and doors until no light enters the
camera except through the lens, and opposite hold a piece of paper, which you move forward and backward until the scene appears in the sharpest
detail. There on the paper you will see the whole view as it really is, with its distances, its colours and shadows and motion, the clouds, the water
twinkling, the birds flying. By holding the paper steady you can trace the whole perspective with a pen, shade it and delicately colour it from nature."
In the mid sixteenth century Giovanni Battista della Porta (1538ā€“1615) made a huge "camera" in which he seated his guests, having arranged a group
of actors to perform outside so that the visitors could watch the images on the wall. But the sight of upside down performing images was too much
for the visitors and they panicked and fled, and Battista was brought to court on a charge of sorcery! It is likely that many artists will have used a
camera obscura to aid them in drawing, but because of the stories of the occult, or because they felt it was "cheating" in some way not many people
would admit to using one. In 1764, the lens was being developed. The name lens comes from

War Photographer Essay
War Photographer The broad description of this poem would be about a photographer, taking pictures of scenes in the war. Judging from the language
and phrases used , the pictures are not particularly nice ones. The writer is describing a photographer ā€“ the photographer is not writing about himself.
The first stanza is the introducing stanza. The writer is describing the photographer as "finally alone", meaning that , after he has been taking pictures
of the war, while seeing everyone, he can now sit in his darkroom (a room where photographs are processed) almost isolated from the outside world,
and ready to look at the developing cold, gruesome photographs that he has taken. In the second line of the first stanza , the...show more content...
In the second stanza , the writer is said to quote: "He has a job to do". This suggests that he has to do it , in order to make a living. The next
sentence is: "Solutions slop in trays beneath his hands which did not tremble then though seem to now." To me, the writer suggests that the
photographer, looking at his developing pictures , is extremely shocked at the images he has developing in front of him (and, if he can't quite make
out what the pictures are, he can probably remember back to the war.) "Rural England. Home again to ordinary pain which simple weather can dispel
, to fields which don't explode beneath the feet , of running children in a nightmare heap." The writer, here, makes a comparison to rural England ,
where there is a much nicer atmosphere : an atmosphere of peace and quiet . In the third stanza , the writer describes how an image is turning out, as
the writer is said to quote: "Something is happening. A stranger's features faintly start to twist before his eyes , a halfā€“formed ghost." The writer
describes the way the image is turning out. The next phrase brings the photographer back to reality: "He remembers the cries of this man's wife."
There is a contrast made here. This shows the intensity of suffering , both emotional and physical , embraced by people involved in the war. The cries
of a man's wife show that there is immense suffering on the family as well as the man

Persuasive Essay On Photography
When you see a well taken photograph what's the main thing you think? Well a great many people trust that photography is just connected with top of
the line computerized cameras, however a differed number of experts think this is not true anymore. Another medium iPhones photography gives the
two experts and nonā€“the capacity to take wonderful pictures without all the specialized weight behind it. In a meeting when asked How might you
react to feedback that iPhone photography is less important than conventional film photography, where each shot must be created Julian Calverley
expressed, "It's about observation. You don't need to shake off heaps of shots, you can at present simply take 10. I could never backpedal to film.
The quality is better now, the capacity to support something on a shoot is there it goes out on a limb. You can go out and shoot and process a film
and after that play with it in the darkroom much like you take a photo carefully and do the after creation. Nothing's extremely changed just

War Photographer by Carol Ann Duffy Essay
War Photographer by Carol Ann Duffy
War Photographer by Carol Ann Duffy is based on a war photographer who has experienced and witnessed the reality of war. The war photographer
has returned to his quite home in England from his latest job. He develops the spools of film, he took in the frontline. As he organizes the pictures, he
remembers the terrifying situation he is in, "A stranger's features faintly start to twist before his eyes a halfā€“formed ghost." Then, he sends those
pictures to the Sunday newspaper, where his editor will choose the ones to be printed. However, the war photographer knows the pictures will not have
a lasting effect as the readers "do not care" and sympathize with the...show more content...
It also indicates the ignorance of the public as they are not fully informed about the tragedy of war so they have no idea of the circumstances of war as
most photographs are not being published.
The darkness in his room, "in his darkness he is finally alone", is a reflection of his depressed feeling in remembrance of the awful events he has
witnessed. The horrific experience is so long lasting, which will dwell in his memory continually as represents by runā€“onā€“lines.
The simile chosen to compare the photographer with "a priest preparing to intone a mass" is effective. The reader can clearly picture the inside of a
catholic church in their mind, with red lights glowing softly. It also assures that what the photographer is doing is holy and heroic as danger and risks
are involved, "fields which explode beneath the feet of running children in a nightmare heat." But the photographer still accepts the challenge.
As for the sound effect, the alliteration of the "s" sound, "with spools of suffering set out in ordered rows", illustrates the silent and isolated atmosphere
the photographer is inā€“the photographic studio. With "eyes" rhyming with "cries", it heightens our sympathy towards the victims in war as it appeals to
both the readers' sense of hearing and seeing. Not only does the suffering turn out to be more descriptive and

Portrait Photographer, a professional photographer specializing in posing their subjects and carefully arranged lighting, is a career I wish to pursue for

Descriptive Essay On The Photographer

  • 1. Descriptive Essay On The Photographer The Photographer The last thing he saw was his own body laying on the road. He was like every other man in the world, he would wake up take a shower, get dressed, brush his teeth, eat breakfast, then head off to work, and repeat over and over. For now we'll just call him "The photographer." He works as a photographer for a magazine company. He got to work and looked for his boss, when he found him the boss said "Hey! There's my favorite Photographer! Hey! I need you to go take photos of eerie and creepy places for our Halloween edition, Halloween is only 2 days away!" So the Photographer got online and searched for old abandoned houses and for old cemeteries, While he was searching he found the perfect site to take pictures. It was the oldest house in the state, while he was looking at the picture of the house it was rumored to be haunted. He shook his head in disbelief. So he got directions to the house and it was 2 hours away, so he emailed his boss saying he would be gone for a while. He left his apartment and locked his door and walked out of the building. He drove to the nearest gas station to fuel up his car, while he was there he bought some snacks and supplies for the trip, he bought a bottle of water, a flashlight, batteries, and some potato chips. When he heard the ding of the gas pump indicating it was done he took the gas pump out of his car and started his car and headed off to the old house. While he was driving he looked at the time on his phone and it read Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. An Essay On Landscape Photography Landscape Photography You can follow some rules for getting beautiful image. For Landscape Photography following the techniques, you will hold the perfect moment and get vivid pictures. Thus, you will be able to capture some amazing beauty that you see. Learn More About Landscape Photography Reading the article, you will learn more about Landscape Photography. Here are given some techniques to follow. 1. Depth of field Many landscape photographers desire an image which appears sharp throughout the scene, so that elements of foreground interest, such as a rock in a lake, look just as sharp as the distant horizon. This can be achieved relatively easily using the principles of depth of field whereby the smaller an aperture you use, such as f/22, the greater the area both before and beyond the point of focus also...show more content... Capture Movement Most people think about landscapes they think of calm, serene and passive environments ā€“ however landscapes are rarely completely still and to convey this movement in an image will add drama, mood and create a point of interest. Wind in trees, waves on a beach, water flowing over a waterfall, birds flying over head, moving clouds make image nice. Capturing this movement generally means you need to look at a longer shutter speed. This means more light hitting your sensor which will mean you need to either go for a small Aperture, use some sort of a filter or even shoot at the start or end of the day when there is less light. 8. Work with the Weather A scene can change dramatically depending upon the weather at any given moment. So, choosing the right time to shoot is of real importance. An overcast day threatening to rain might provide you with a much better opportunity to create an image with real mood and ominous overtones. Look for storms, wind, mist, dramatic clouds, sun shining through dark skies, rainbows, sunsets and sunrises etc and work with these variations in the weather rather than just waiting for the next sunny blue sky Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Thesis Statement About Photography The purpose of my study is to give people a chance to understand what is the meaning of photography and how it was invented, plus how people was able to take photographs before the camera was invented. The significance of my study is that nowadays, a lot of people or its better to say most of people thinks that they know everything about photography and they think that they are an experts and a professional photographers once they hold the camera or actually once they hold a digital cameras (since a lot of them think that the digital cameras are more easy), but actually they do not even know what photography is. In fact, I see this situation is a big problem because I believe that to be a real or an expert photographer, the person...show more content... As I mentioned before that all the references and bibliographies have the same information about how photography was before it got invented and about how did photography started and how it got developed from year to year and from century to century. From that time until today Photography has developed too much and I believe it will keep on developing from day to day and from year to year. Photography became so much easier than before, there is a huge difference between cameras these days and cameras from that time, and only god knows what they will invent and how it will be developed more in the coming Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Photography By Paul Graham: Article Analysis I enjoyed this article by Paul Graham because it gave me insight on photography outside of an academic setting. In class, I am accustomed to tailoring my projects to focus on a rubric to a receive a good grade. Being judged on a creative matter like photography causes me to revisit my work often before deciding that it is finished, which is good. However, it often obstructs my creative thinking because it causes me to have anxiety with fitting in the parameters of the assignment, since there are other factors that I don't think about when I am in the moment, such as tonal consistency and various photographic grammars. Luckily, editing often helps me achieve the results I want and helps alleviate that stress. This article also really resonates Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. I started learning photography 2 years ago. As a beginner I had very little knowledge about photography and editing. But as time passed I started to learn some more important stuff about this profession. As I became progressively fascinated with photography, a consuming passion started to increase inside of me. The need to take photos was enamoring. And today Photography is now a way of expressing myself and I'm known as a good photographer at many companies, hotels, schools, conferences and etc. I've worked as a photographer in 2 hotels this summer, I've edited a sponsor video for a company, and in so many international schools I'm being called to take pictures because I'm known as my school's head media. Also I'm a teacher of my own class about video and photo editing at school. I teach more than 10 students, and I'm hoping they'll be great editors in the future too. Along with this class, I'm going to open my own Photography class soon. This year I started to feel that this passion has changed into an obsession. The reason why I consider myself as a good photographer is because I'm capable of doing marvelous things with my camera and editing skills. A decent photographer would dependably be looking for good landscapes or occasions to catch great moments and I am glad to be one among them. Along with individual work of mine, I also first think about my team. Because teamwork is a gathering of individuals with different corresponding abilities, cooperating towards a Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. In times, we often see things, but we don't really capture what is beyond it. In some cases, there are people who are artistic and are prone to see what other's cannot visualize. Every individual has a talent which can be expressed and processed differently. Something you see can mean entirely divergent things to someone else;for example, some may see thing's that may seem simple, but in the eyes of an artist, it can be perceived with a whole new definition, dimension, and a potentially new discovery. As a photographer, my view of theworld, can be skewed towards looking at everyday objects as potential art, but it wasn't always like that. To begin with, photography appeared to me as something entertaining a simple step in which...show more content... Each week I would strive to get the best comment of criticism and the best photo of the week. Everyday we were intellectually taught about the different principles of photography; for me it wasn't a hassle to learn it; it was more of an excitement a new adventure. As I became increasingly fascinated with photography, a burning passion became to increase inside of me. The need to take photographs was captivating; not only was it for a grade, but an escape I used to drown my feelings. Photography was now becoming a way of expressing myself. Excitement rushed through my veins as the teacher would announce my name for the best photo of the week; an unforgettable feeling that would fulfill my ambition and made me feel virtuoso. After the end of the first semester, I began to feel as if a transformation begun inside of me. A transformation that began as a passion and turned into an obsession. Everywhere I saw I could see all the plain and ordinary things or objects of everyday life, but suddenly they became a whole new world; a spellbinding sensation that would make me fathom the double meaning of life. For example, hands are not much of importance to a person with no artistic view, but a photographer may view hands as aging, a sign of unity, caring, loving, or cry for help. Determination is the key to fame or an accomplished goal. As stated, winning photo of the week was an enormous accomplishment for me being allowed to have Get more content on HelpWriting.net

You could use a shadow effect to add more volume to your image, generally used for a good three dimensional image. If you were wanting to emphasize a certain texture of an object, this general lights the object from above, below, or from the side. • 8. Essay On Photography Top 7 destinations for photographers I caught my love for photography at an early age, seeing my dad clicking pictures passionately using his now vintage camera, the Kodak Disc 3500. The bug of photography has never really left me since then and to add to that my dad's encouraging words have always helped me hone my skills as an amateur photographer. Over the years, the perfectionist photographer in me has relentlessly looked for the best of locations to shoot some outstanding pictures and that has made me travel to a great many places. Today, I am here to share with you the top 7 photo destinations that I would highly suggest you must visit if you are a photographer too. 1. Cuba The land of Cuba is famous for its beautiful colonial...show more content... 3. Kenya Want to capture awesome pictures of wildlife, then Kenya is the place to go to. The variety of species that you get to see in this place is unparalleled with any other location on the planet. That is the reason why I love travelling to this side of the world, especially Kenya. You will never be tired of clicking amazing shots here with the most picturesque backgrounds you can ever imagine. Just remember to be patient and especially to be quiet while photographing on a safari. 4. Morocco Morocco is bound to amaze you with its diversity; while you are on a visit to this beautiful part of the world, you can check out the famous Rick's Cafe in Casablanca, get overwhelmed by the rooftop views that Marrakesh offers, and even get to know more about leather dyeing on a visit to the famous tannery in Fez. Don't forget to take the sunrise camel ride through the Sahara Desert and experience sleeping in a tent camp under the stars. No matter what you do, your visit to Morocco is bound to be one of the most unforgettable trips you would have taken as a photographer. 5. Namibia This may come as a surprise, especially if you are just beginning to take photography trips, Namibia offers one of the most luxurious lodges for you to stay, along with a variety of wildlife safaris and the visits to the beautiful deserts. One of the main reasons though that attracted me to this place was the access that you get to the Himba Tribes; Himba women are famous for

  • 10. Reflection Paper On Photography As a photography major, it was never clear to me on why I had to take a drawing class. I dreaded each class because of the known fact that I didn't possess the skills to be a good drawer. When speaking to friends and family, I would always complain to them saying, "I'm going to fail this class. I have no idea why I have to take these drawing classes." As the quarter went on and the more I learned about the different drawing techniques such as the use of lighting to create interesting shadows or the use of color to create a sense mood and emotion, I began to realize the parallels that drawing and photography have. It's very important to train your eyes as a photographer because you gain new perspective of your surroundings and you begin to pay more attention to little details. Drawing has helped train my eye to pay attention to details such as lines, shadows, light, proportion, texture, and color. When working on each drawing project such as the still lifes, portraits, and landscapes, I would notice my eye rapidly going back and forth from the subject to the paper trying to focus on all the details, whether it be the reflection of light on a cup or vase, the shadows on the busts, or the vibrant colors in the landscape drawing. I would do my best to try and accurately transfer what was in front of me onto the paper. In order to get the best shot in photography, photographers have to pay attention to these details to make their photos more interesting to look at. Without Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. Essay about Photography The Test of Time: The Power of the Photograph What is a photograph? The simplicity of taking a photograph leads many to ponder its artistic value. Yet, it is undeniable that there are some photos that cause an emotional reaction deeper than simply observing a recorded point in time. Surely, there are photographs that cause more reaction than some modern art pieces. There seems to be two types of photographs. The first classification is the 'time capture' photo ā€“ an image with the sole purpose of recording a particular event or point in time. The second nature of a photo carries a 'deeper meaning,' which has the ability to change the observer's mood and cause a reaction. But what distinguishes these two varieties? There are a...show more content... There is clearly an artistic value to this image ā€“ it is taken at the location of a massacre of over 200 members of the Great Sioux Nation. However, did Elliot Erwitt intend a 'deeper meaning' for this photograph? In an interview recorded on his official website, Erwitt declares, "If it turns out to be entertaining what I do, I'm very pleased. But it's not conscious." It seems that Erwitt claims to not possess artistic intent in his photographs. However, it is clear that he simply boasts an unconscious artistic eye. It is obvious that the photograph of this church on hallowed ground falls in the 'deeper meaning' category. The second Elliot Erwitt photo is taken from his official webpage. It too is captured in black and white. The photo, shown in Figure 2 was taken in France and depicts a man and child riding a bicycle down a road lined with trees. This seems to be a 'time capture' photo; this particular event can never be perfectly replicated again. Despite the category in which this photo clearly falls into, it is undoubtedly still art ā€“ the setting is too perfect to be unintentional. However, according to Erwitt in his interview, unintentional is exactly the correct word. Erwitt states, "I take pictures of anything that interests me as I walk around with my camera." This means that many of his photos are taken on a whim; the right place at the right time. In this case it is the viewer who makes the distinction between Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 12. Why I Want to Be a Photographer Photography is the process of taking photographs and printing them out. Mostly used for personal purposes, photography is a common object in our everyday lives. It is used to make memories, track the course of our lives, and simply capture the beauty of and event or object. The typical day of a photographer is quit diverse. In a typical day photographer photographs subjects or news worthy events, using still cameras ā€“such as a family, person, animal, wedding, graduation, birthday, place, or other object. They determine desired images and picture composition, such as when a customer wants blemishes removed. Their cameras need to be adjusted on a regular basis. They are constantly creating artificial lights and backgrounds to reach the desired effect of the customer. If using a camera that contains film they must have the film processed. Hours are spent going through hundreds of photos to select the best photo(s). They also use computer software to adjust and enhance the images. (Institute, Typical Day, 2011) I chose this career for several reasons. The first, is because my aunt is a photographer. She introduced me to photography at a young age and I have been interested ever since. I love taking photographs of anything, but mostly nature such as animals, and natural happenings. I enjoy taking a photograph of something that most people would, at first, consider ugly, and making it beautiful, simply because of angles or lighting. It truly fascinates me that your opinion of Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 13. Visual Analysis Essay On Photography The Brown sisters might gather occasionally together throughout a year, but there is one day out of every year where they have a photograph of them taken to capture their sisterhood. In the beginning of the series of photographs the sisters have a serious case of resting b*tch face. From 1975 to 1979, the sisters all have a hardened expression, and even after that there are occasional smirks, but the same look remains. Each photograph shows the sisters aging, and while they age their appearance becomes softer. This could be because of the experiences they have such as pregnancy and motherhood, or other events that could affect their life, and result in them aging softly. Because one can see the sisters age throughout the course of these photographs,...show more content... Clearly, she is not so young anymore, so this may or may not be her first child, but each of her sisters are happy for her, because you can see it in their expression. This is the first photograph where all of the sisters are smiling, and appear affectionate. The one sister on the left has her hand on the pregnant sister's belly, and the sister on the right is gazing at her, so her happiness is towards her sister's expectancy. Each sister is open and welcoming of a new member, and their softened demeanor is because of this pregnancy. One might think that motherhood ages a woman terribly, because of the stress a child can cause, and one can see that after the 1992 photograph. Yet nothing is greater than thelove that a mother has for her child, and the bond that she has to it, and because she has this love it softens her. While they may transition into shriveled old woman, they retain the same mysterious appearance, but with a sense of happiness, because they may be content or proud of what they have done or accomplished in their lifetime. Each year a new photograph is taken, and every year has a different story to it that only the ones in the photograph and the photographer know. This is what leaves each photograph a mystery, and left to be analyzed by anyone who stumbles upon them. But throughout time it is simple to notice how the sisters have matured, and developed into gentle old ladies who seem dignified with their Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 14. Essay on The History of Photography The History of Photography The name "Photography" comes from the Greek words for light and writing. Sir John Herschel, was the first to use the term photography in 1839, when he managed to fix images using hyposulphite of soda. He described photography as "The application of the chemical rays to the purpose of pictorial representation". Herschel also coined the terms "negative", "positive" and "snapshot". But a man called de la Roche (1729 ā€“ 1774), wrote Giphantie and in this imaginary tale, it was possible to capture images from nature, on a canvas which had been coated with a sticky substance and this would produce a mirror image on the sticky canvas, that fixed after it had been dried in the dark. There are two distinct...show more content... The earliest record of the uses of a camera obscura can be found in the writings and drawings of Leonardo da Vinci (1452ā€“1519). At about the same period Daniel Barbaro, a Venetian, recommended the camera as an aid to drawing. He wrote: "Close all shutters and doors until no light enters the camera except through the lens, and opposite hold a piece of paper, which you move forward and backward until the scene appears in the sharpest detail. There on the paper you will see the whole view as it really is, with its distances, its colours and shadows and motion, the clouds, the water twinkling, the birds flying. By holding the paper steady you can trace the whole perspective with a pen, shade it and delicately colour it from nature." In the mid sixteenth century Giovanni Battista della Porta (1538ā€“1615) made a huge "camera" in which he seated his guests, having arranged a group of actors to perform outside so that the visitors could watch the images on the wall. But the sight of upside down performing images was too much for the visitors and they panicked and fled, and Battista was brought to court on a charge of sorcery! It is likely that many artists will have used a camera obscura to aid them in drawing, but because of the stories of the occult, or because they felt it was "cheating" in some way not many people would admit to using one. In 1764, the lens was being developed. The name lens comes from Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 15. War Photographer Essay War Photographer The broad description of this poem would be about a photographer, taking pictures of scenes in the war. Judging from the language and phrases used , the pictures are not particularly nice ones. The writer is describing a photographer ā€“ the photographer is not writing about himself. The first stanza is the introducing stanza. The writer is describing the photographer as "finally alone", meaning that , after he has been taking pictures of the war, while seeing everyone, he can now sit in his darkroom (a room where photographs are processed) almost isolated from the outside world, and ready to look at the developing cold, gruesome photographs that he has taken. In the second line of the first stanza , the...show more content... In the second stanza , the writer is said to quote: "He has a job to do". This suggests that he has to do it , in order to make a living. The next sentence is: "Solutions slop in trays beneath his hands which did not tremble then though seem to now." To me, the writer suggests that the photographer, looking at his developing pictures , is extremely shocked at the images he has developing in front of him (and, if he can't quite make out what the pictures are, he can probably remember back to the war.) "Rural England. Home again to ordinary pain which simple weather can dispel , to fields which don't explode beneath the feet , of running children in a nightmare heap." The writer, here, makes a comparison to rural England , where there is a much nicer atmosphere : an atmosphere of peace and quiet . In the third stanza , the writer describes how an image is turning out, as the writer is said to quote: "Something is happening. A stranger's features faintly start to twist before his eyes , a halfā€“formed ghost." The writer describes the way the image is turning out. The next phrase brings the photographer back to reality: "He remembers the cries of this man's wife." There is a contrast made here. This shows the intensity of suffering , both emotional and physical , embraced by people involved in the war. The cries of a man's wife show that there is immense suffering on the family as well as the man Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 16. Persuasive Essay On Photography When you see a well taken photograph what's the main thing you think? Well a great many people trust that photography is just connected with top of the line computerized cameras, however a differed number of experts think this is not true anymore. Another medium iPhones photography gives the two experts and nonā€“the capacity to take wonderful pictures without all the specialized weight behind it. In a meeting when asked How might you react to feedback that iPhone photography is less important than conventional film photography, where each shot must be created Julian Calverley expressed, "It's about observation. You don't need to shake off heaps of shots, you can at present simply take 10. I could never backpedal to film. The quality is better now, the capacity to support something on a shoot is there it goes out on a limb. You can go out and shoot and process a film and after that play with it in the darkroom much like you take a photo carefully and do the after creation. Nothing's extremely changed just discernment. Individuals say, 'Gracious it's been photoshopped,' yet in the days of yore, it was extremely worthy to avoid and consume on a print. It's simply the same (Hoyle standard). War Photographer by Carol Ann Duffy Essay War Photographer by Carol Ann Duffy War Photographer by Carol Ann Duffy is based on a war photographer who has experienced and witnessed the reality of war. The war photographer has returned to his quite home in England from his latest job. He develops the spools of film, he took in the frontline. As he organizes the pictures, he remembers the terrifying situation he is in, "A stranger's features faintly start to twist before his eyes a halfā€“formed ghost." Then, he sends those pictures to the Sunday newspaper, where his editor will choose the ones to be printed. However, the war photographer knows the pictures will not have a lasting effect as the readers "do not care" and sympathize with the...show more content... It also indicates the ignorance of the public as they are not fully informed about the tragedy of war so they have no idea of the circumstances of war as most photographs are not being published. The darkness in his room, "in his darkness he is finally alone", is a reflection of his depressed feeling in remembrance of the awful events he has witnessed. The horrific experience is so long lasting, which will dwell in his memory continually as represents by runā€“onā€“lines. The simile chosen to compare the photographer with "a priest preparing to intone a mass" is effective. The reader can clearly picture the inside of a catholic church in their mind, with red lights glowing softly. It also assures that what the photographer is doing is holy and heroic as danger and risks are involved, "fields which explode beneath the feet of running children in a nightmare heat." But the photographer still accepts the challenge. As for the sound effect, the alliteration of the "s" sound, "with spools of suffering set out in ordered rows", illustrates the silent and isolated atmosphere the photographer is inā€“the photographic studio. With "eyes" rhyming with "cries", it heightens our sympathy towards the victims in war as it appeals to both the readers' sense of hearing and seeing. Not only does the suffering turn out to be more descriptive and Get more content on HelpWriting.net
