Dynamics of Destructive Polarisation in Mainstream and Social Media: The Case...
India russia relation
1. India Russia Relation
Relations between India and Russia are very old.
When there was a cold war, India was neutral. India was a
part of the non-alignment movement. Relations between
India and USSR became even better from 1971’s. Indo-
Soviet Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation.
The Indo–Soviet Treaty of Peace, Friendship, and
Cooperation was a treaty signed between India and the
Soviet Union. In August 1971 this treaty played an
important role in the Bangladesh Liberation War in 1972.
India was also good with Russia when the USSR
was disintegrated in 1991. Right now India does a
bilateral summit with only two countries, one is Japan
and the other is Russia.
President of the Russian Federation, Putin visited
New Delhi in October 2018, for the 19th edition of the
Annual India-Russia Bilateral Summit. Large business
delegations participated from both sides, representing
important areas of bilateral cooperation.

3. Defense Deal
India has brought a lot of defense
equipment from Russia first. But now India
changes its foreign policy, now India deals with
USA and Israel for defense deal. This will cause a
lot of damage to Russia.
Now India has got caught in the defense
deal between these two nations, if we deal with
the USA here, then Russia will be angry and the
deal with Russia will be the USA angry. And
another one USA has brought the CAATSA Act, it
has become even more like adding ghee in the
fire.
