6. HTC Vive VR Headset
‘What this headset nails—and I mean fucking nails—is a
sense of presence. A sense that you're not just seeing a
different world, but that your actual body is being
transported there. Strap on the Vive and you are somewhere
else. I slapped at fish in a shipwreck, walked like a giant
through a battlefield, cooked in a virtual kitchen, and it felt
so unbelievably real’ C. Rebato, Gizmodo

Little Bird Smart Sextoy

10. What will probably be a successful innovation
Robo R2 3D Printing Set
The R2, retailing at just under $2,000, is a ‘pro-summer’
printer. Designed by ROBO 3D as hardware for those
who are more serious about making at home, or
perhaps for use in mid-level business applications, it
offers 1,000 cubic inches of build space and print speeds
up to 300mm per second.
Read more: bit.ly/22XuPFZ
Why it just might work:
3D printing is at its development phase.
Offering consumers a possibility to 3D-print with
simplicity is a good bet.

ear buds that connect to each other wirelessly with a

Why it just might work:
One annoying thing about earbuds: wire.
This is clearly a good innovation.
Withings Smart Thermometer
The Withings Thermo uses Withings HotSpotSensor Technology to
provide more precise temperature reading, by taking 4000
measurements in just 2 seconds.
Read more: bit.ly/1Q9LDm6
Why it just might work:
The democratisation of sensors clearly benefits the health sector.
This item is a very good example of effective connected solutions
to everyday problems.
Icaros VR Flying Rig
A rig you climb on top of to simulate flight. There's no
motor or hydraulics here — the sense of motion is
derived solely from your own of balance.
Read more: engt.co/1POFdux
Why it just might work:
VR is the next big thing.
Although the Icaros is available at a very, very high
price, it is probably what a VR dinosaur will look like
within a few years. Because other systems will come
after this pioneer.
11. What will probably not work
Narrative Smart Camera
The Narrative Clip 2 has hit pre-order, enabling
customers to stake their claim to the company's new
and improved wearable camera.
Read more: bit.ly/1J0FlFU
Why it might not work:
GoPro and Polaroid are strong leaders on the portable
capture segment.
Besides its size and hanging system,
this particular product isn’t really innovative
LifeFuel Connected Bottle
A smart nutrition bottle that was selected as a 2016 CES
Innovation Award Honoree. It adds pre-measured
amounts of concentrated supplements and flavours to
the water inside.
Read more: bit.ly/1O8BTI2
Why it might not work:
It is possible that people don’t want to drink water
treated by a connected object.
The tracking activity is a good idea, but the whole
concept isn’t innovative properly speaking since it does
not match a need or solve a problem.
Hopper Go Dish Portable Recorder
With the Hopper 3, Dish now arguably has the most powerful
DVR on the market. Powered by the new Broadcom 7445
quad-arm processor, the Hopper 3 is claimed to be seven
times as fast as the Hopper 2, twice as fast as TiVo’s new Bolt,
and offers up to 16 tuners across its lightning fast interface.
Read more: bit.ly/1nd00N1
Why it might not work:
Consumers already dispose of portable solutions when it
comes to video content.
Also the cloud and VOD systems take care of
data accessibility, which reduces the need of
Such a product.
LG Rollable TV Screen
The world's first 30R 18-inch rollable display that can be
rolled up like a newspaper.
