This presentation discusses a light dependent resistor (LDR) and its use in an Arduino-based real-time clock project. The LDR's resistance changes with light intensity, decreasing with more light. The project interfaces an Arduino with an RTC DS1307 module to display the time and temperature on an LCD screen. It also includes push buttons, a buzzer, and alarm functions. 4. Introduction
• A light dependent resistor (LDR) or a photo
resistor or photocell is a light controlled
variable resistor . Its resistance changes with
Light intensity that falls on it.
•The resistance of a photo resistor decreases
with increasing Incident light intensity . In other
words , it exhibits photoconductivity.
• The resistance range and sensitivity of a
photoresistor can substantially differ among
dissimilar devices.

DS1307 Based Real-Time Clock with
Alarm & Temperature Monitor. This is a
simple real-time clock with time, day,
date using Arduino UNO board,
andDS1307 module. We have also
added two alarm functions and
temperature monitors to further extend
this project.
