Examples Of Respect Parents And Elders
Day 54
I.Revision
Give examples of masculine and feminine gender.
II.Respect your parents and elders
Respect is the greatest gift children can give to their parents and elders. It is not just a responsibility to give respect but it is a moral value and duty. In
order to get some respect we should give respect, and parents and elders are the ones who deserve most of our respect as they help us in making our
life meaningful.
Together with many lessons in life, learning to respect people is also one the important lesson we learn as kids.
Respect can be given in many ways. There is no particular way to respect elders and parents. But few ways in which you can show your respect
towards them are:
–Never addressing them with their names.

eventually save your time also. We tend to hurry when there are long queues. Like us, each person there is trying to break the queue. Thus, resulting
into chaos. Therefore, we must form a queue and try not to break it.

What Does Being Respect Mean To Me
To me, respect means to treat everybody with care and recognition. Being respectful is about accepting a person's styles, methods, and thinking as
well as showing him or her courtesy and politeness. Treat people the way you want to be treated by showing him or her the same respect you want for
yourself. This action could be carried out in a day–to–day classroom by allowing someone to include their own ideas and contribute to things such as
group projects or just being kind in conversation and other types of communication. If someone were to walk into the room and observe this
community agreement, he or she would see people sharing techniques and suggestions and nicely commenting on each other's opinions. He or she
would see students including

Culture can shape us as individuals in many different ways. Things such as gender and race play a big part on shaping us as individuals. Culture
shapes how we as people view world. Webster's dictionary defines culture as "The integrated pattern of human knowledge, belief and behavior that
depends upon man's capacity for learning and transmitting knowledge to succeeding generations. It is also the customary beliefs, social forms and
material traits of a racial, religious or social group" (Webster). Studies show that people that are of different cultures perceive and see things much
differently, this is most likely because of how theirculture shaped how they view and act with the world. I believe that a lot of people sometimes

In one study US students from the US and Japanese students from Japan were asked to describe an animated underwater scene where one large fish is
swimming amongst a school of smaller fish. The American students had a tendency to only report the large fish and ignore all other small objects and
detail. Meanwhile the Japanese students had tended to describe all of the details of the background environment and the relationships between animate
and inanimate objects. This study shows that the visual focuses of the two different cultures can and are very different. Another study was done with
Chinese students instead of Japanese students. The students were given all sorts of situations to resolve. This study found that the Chinese students
were "less eager" to resolve any contradictions in a plethora of situations, however the American students were quick to come up with ideas for a
solution for all the situations that were presented, and everybody agreed on them to resolve a conflict. Another study where the individual contributors
were given a topic with strong arguments in support of an idea and weaker arguments opposing it, the Asian students had a tendency to favor the
weaker opposing argument by decreasing their support, while American students actually increased their efforts of the project to support the strong
argument. There have been tons more studies which look at the different views of many different cultures, including classification

What Respect Is The Word Respect?
When talking about the word respect, numerous individuals have no clue what it implies. This word changes its meaning depending on who is
inquired. Several people, even ones who comprehend what respect implies, still have no respect for anyone else. A two–way streak that everyone
appears to overlook is respect. The word respect has a one–sided meaning to it, as an consequence of all the disrespect around the world. Respect has
different opinions, gone through history, and help shape famous quotes. These days, numerous individuals have different implications for the word
respect, however there is only one genuine meaning. The definition for the respect is as per the following, a feeling of deep admiration for someone or
something elicited by their abilities, qualities, or achievements. Apperception, esteem, consideration, dignity, recognition, and honor are just a minority
of the synonyms. So of course, criticism, dishonor, disrespect, neglect, disregard, and ignorance are just a minority of the antonyms. Indeed, even
across the world, there are different definition for the word respect. Even throughout time this word has changed numerous times. This word has
endless implications around the world and all throughout time. For instance, an elderly person might find it respectful for another person to help them
cross the street while on the other hand they might consider it a sign of weakness. An example of how the word respect changes around the world,

The Importance Of Respect
Respect can be displayed in numerous ways which may be verbal or none verbal dependent upon the individual. My aim is to demonstrate a clear
outline of 'respect' touching upon subjects such as, human rights, and values. Respect can be as straightforward as manors such as 'please' and 'thank
you', although many may not always display this. Respect is dignity for every individual, mutual acknowledgment from one individual to another
portraying thoughtfulness and equality. (Nhina le, 2016). Respect has changed outstandingly over the years which effects the way we live today.
Morally It is of significance to include others without preconceptions or exceptions no matter of differences such as ethnicity or beliefs. (Joyce Catlett
and Robert w firestone 2009) respect and human rights interlink, as in 1998 the humans right act came into power which is built up of 30 articles e.g.
'right to life' which states that "nobody including the government can try to end your life" (ref article) these rights are about respect and belong to
everyone.
VALUEs
Values are personal attributes of importance which we are passionate about, gained through life and experiences. Values certainly influence the
opinions we have and the choices we make, as these are personal thoughts and felling of what we care about. (Hayden, 2006)
Values affect the way we choose to live our life furthermore the way we act towards others and their life.(REF) As we develop as individuals many
factors such as age, wisdom and life experiences are likely to have an impacted value's now held in comparison to ones held in younger life, as
growth, knowledge and life experience act towards shaping us as individuals and the way we may view things. Values are not factual nevertheless
there are no right or wrong values as these are personal to each and every individual. (x2ref)
changes were made, which has a huge influence throughout the world.
RESPECT– many may say respect should be earned, but in certain instances, this is not always possible, for ex; when
holding the door for someone who is walking behind you is effortless human respect, that is morally expected to be given and reciprocated. showing
respect for someone does not necessarily mean you have to

Treat Others with Respect
Hatred and the use of racially derogatory speech We live in a highly amalgamated world where the things have been moving on a very fast pace.
That is the idea behind having the world globalized and the bridging of gaps has brought about this massive change in the ways that we look at the
world and how we may perceive it. In times like these the management has grown in its domain and the onus is on them to ensure that the things are on
the right track. That is something that may sound too simple but in reality it is not so. In times like these it is imperative that the decision making is
perfect. It does not matter what is our domain or what is the end target in mind or what we are dealing with because the objective is to get the job
done and that can only be done by the proper management of the things. So it all boils down to how responsible we are when it comes to the
decision making part and it is so important that the consequences are known or on the very least they should be anticipated to the very last detail. It
is all up to the person who is making the choice of using derogatory speech. Now that can be a double edged sword because at times it may work in
our favor and win us many hearts. While on the other hand it can backfire as well and when that happens it means that we might be on the verge a lot
of allegiance from lot of the cordons. That is as good as losing both the internal and the external customers at the same time. There have been rare cases

How To Respect You Essay
You also cannot just respect people, you have to respect their property, their family, the things that are special to them, their goals, their life plans...
you have to respect what they respect. If people didn't respect each other or anything we would live in a very rough society. When you respect
someone it means you like them as a person, you believe that they are decent and worth your time. You believe that they will not be rude to you or
hateful and that you can trust them. When you respect a person and when you fear a person it's hard to decipher the two because when you fear
someone you respect them because you think they will hurt you or harm you in some way. When you respect someone you feel comfortable with the

In the Ten Commandments the first one is to honor your parents. "It says: "honor your mother and father for they gave birth to you and raised
you." In Muslim religion, the Allah asks you to respect your parents till the day you die. This is your moral responsibility to do so. In Hinduism,
the god asks you to always remember your mother and father and never forget them in your entire life. Respect your parents for your religion
demands you to do so." You should also respect your parents because they are a form of God and some religions state that you should worship
them and treat them as if they are a form of God because parents fulfill the wishes that you pray to God. If you pray to God for something you
really want (like homecoming) then it is up to your parents to decide whether A) you deserve it and B) do you need it. You should respect your
parents because they try to give you as much as possible and even though sometimes they can't give you everything you want (like that pony you have
been dying to have since you were seven or that extravaganza Sweet Sixteen that you want because it costs 50,000 dollars because of everything you
want (i.e. sushi bar, petting zoo, juggling bear, the "bridal party" of the girl, etc.

Respect and what it means By: –PFC– C, Mullins Respect it is something everyone wants, not many have, and few will give. Some people would
appreciate having a little bit of respect from others, and some should make efforts to show some more respect. Unfortunately, this does not happen all
the time. Maybe this is because respect is not clearly understood. What is respect? The dictionary defines it as an act of giving particular attention or
high or special regard. Another definition shows respect as a feeling or attitude of admiration and deference toward somebody or something. This does
not explain completely what it is, but at least it gives us an idea about what it may be. it is something that you earn over time through your...show more

There are advantages and disadvantages to all methods. The advantage of the teacher or the students setting rules is that the decision maker gets to
implement all his rules and his expectations are being met with. However the foremost disadvantage here would be, if the teacher alone sets the
ground rules they may suit the teacher more than the student, whereas if the students makes the ground rules it could achieve the opposite effect. By
following the chain of command and keeping respect for ones officers and NCOs the day to day working relationship should and dose run smoother
Respect also consides with your battle buddy. Your battle buddies are in the same shoes you are. You are supposed to be able to trust one another.
With that trust tasks and situations can be resolved and accomplished much easier and faster. Without having that respect nothing will be accomplished
but arguments, and fights, in my own experiences battle buddies are also friends... Greater orders mean bigger consequences. Military members who
fail to obey the lawful orders of their superiors risk serious consequences. Without soldiers having respect for their officers, NCOs and fellow soldiers

You being respectful will help you from being depressed from loneliness. You should be honest, kid, nice, gentle, relaxed, and happy to make
friends. The word respect is a word to summarize all of the things above and plenty more. Things like being quite while someone is talking, or not
bothering someone when they?re in bad mood. I see respect all the time, that?s what makes every thing so easy to do and no one gets sad. If I ever
saw someone get knocked over and there stuff is on the ground scattered all over, I would definitely help him pick it up. Because other wise I would
feel bad watching them pick it up all by themselves. Always treat others the way you would want to be treated. This way you will be respected and
loved. My definition of respect is being nice, generous, and helpful. Because all of those things can be the best things to do if you want to be
respectful, which you should always be. So next time I talk in class out of turn, I will remember this two page report about respect.
Respect can be making sure that everyone has equal time. For instance, if there was one toy to play with and their 5 kids that want to play with it.
They should all share the toy at equal times to be equal. Because no one wants to give the toy to one kid that gets all the fun. We all have or should
share and give to be nice and make some new friends.

Outcome 1: Understand the purpose and benefits of respecting and supporting other people at work Outcome 7: Be able to respect and support
other people at work in an organisation 1.1, 1.2 The purpose of supporting other people at work is that they feel more comfortable in their role
resulting in getting more work done and you can build a healthy working relationship with that person. If no one supports anyone else then
businesses can't succeed as you aren't working as part of a team. Working as a team towards an overall goal improves individuals, the team and the
business as one. 1.3 Diversity means that someone is different from the majority; for example, a different religion or nationality to where they live
etc. There are many benefits to having a diverse workforce for an organisation. The biggest benefit is the creativity this brings in when making
decisions or finding solutions to issues. Different cultures can give you a completely different insight in decision making. Also, with diversity you
will get a completely different way of working which can inspire a team's productivity. 1.4, 7.4 The benefits to working in a diverse workforce is
that it gives me confidence to talk to people that are different age, gender, race, religion etc. I can learn things that I previously wouldn't be able to
do if we were all the exact same. The different ideas can impact directly on the way I work and can help me to become more efficient. Working in a

Respecting Elders
Respecting my elders, and everyone else, just comes natural to me, because when I was just a little girl, I was taught that I must always respect my
elders, if I didn't, I'd get a slap on my face by my parents. As I grew up, I came to realize the true meaning of the phrase, "respect your elders," and I
agree fully with my mother's teachings. I not only respected my elders, but I respected everyone around me.
When I had my children, I taught them the same way my parents taught me, on how to respect their elders, and why. I never had any problems
teaching my children how to respect, not only their elders, but how to respect everyone. We need to keep up with the tradition of respect, because so

I think it is important to understand what respect is and understand what your elders have gone through to get where we are today. I think everyone

Quotes: "In Western Civilization, our elders are books."
"The Elders were closer to the Maker of All Things and should be deferred to whenever they made their will known."

The elderly have lived long lives. They are so important in our lives because of this. The longer that one has lived, the more of a life they have to
share with others. The elderly have much to contribute to this world. Most already have contributed while others will soon be contributing their best as
time goes by.
Even the elderly are still learning. It has been said that you learn something new every day, and that is just why even the elderly are still learning. They
have much wisdom to share with the world, even if they have just learned it themselves.

The Importance Of Integrity And Self Respect
Integrity means being true to ourselves and being honest, upright, and honorable in all of our dealings with others. When we are guided by integrity,
our thoughts and words are in line with each other; our actions align with our principles, our conduct speaks for us, more eloquently than words ever
could. It becomes the basis for both reputation and self–respect.
Integrity demands courage but delivers untroubled sleep.
Developing integrity requires internal honesty, because we can't be honest with others unless we are honest with ourselves. It requires self awareness,
since we cannot accurately communicate what we do not know. The amount of integrity that one has, defines who they are as a person. Being a
United States Marine means taking all of your integrity and letting every ounce of it show in everything that you do.
People of integrity can be counted on to stand up for what is right, even if it is execrated, and to behave with dignity even when there is no one
around to see one perform these actions. Integrity allows other people to put their trust in us because they know that we value our commitments and
seek to live by them in all things. It is one of the cornerstones of loving relationships and shared endeavors. The rectitude of a United states Marine
means being true to ourselves and being honest, upright, and noble in our dealings with ourselves and with others. When we are guided by integrity,

Reflection Essay : Respect For Race And Diversity
Respect for Race and Diversity
Respect for me is about showing true due regard for someone's feelings, emotions and rights. Respect is a key attribute that I have gained over the last
decade of my life both in and around education.
Whilst studying Law at Leeds Beckett University I was set various group tasks, one of the first activities set was a group presentation. The group
consisted of 5 people and one of which did not understand nor speak very good English. After a couple of days' worth of preparation, the group
became frustrated with this one individual, due to his lack of progression, I understood this was not entirely his fault. The group wanted to exclude
him from the rest of the group because they felt he would bring their final overall grade down, however, I felt this was wrong of them. To help the
project progress I held one to one sessions with him in the library, I explained the project thoroughly so he would understand what was needed of him
and finally both he and I would go through practice runs of the presentation. I then spoke to the rest of the group and urged them to communicate with
him more rather than exclude him from the presentation. This then led the group to achieve the highest grade possible for our presentation, a 1:1.
Whilst working at Leeds Vue Cinema I was appointed a training buddy, this involved training new staff to their new appointed roles. On some
occasions Vue Cinema recruited staff that did not speak nor understand very good English. Training was more difficult in these situations, however, I
understood my colleagues' situation and trained them accordingly. I went over areas repetitively to ensure my colleagues understood what they were
expected to do, I spoke slower and in a softer tone to ensure they could easily understand what I am saying , and urged the experienced staff to
communicate to the new staff more and make them feel welcomed and valued to the company.
I am aware of other people's religious beliefs and faiths and wholly respect their cultures. As a Muslim I am aware of religious events such as Ramadan.
Therefore, whilst working at Vue Cinema I respect fellow Muslims, so to avoid disrespect I do not offer food or drink during this religious month.

Self Respect Essay
SELF RESPECT "The worst loneliness is to not be comfortable with yourself." – Mark Twain Self–respect is fundamental for a great life. If
self–respect is lacking this may cause insecurity and the strive to be someone we are not. To develop self–respect means to cultivate the
self–confidence to deal with whatever life throws at us. Self–respect comes from an inner belief and not an egoistic feeling of superiority. The
following are some ways to improve self–respect:– Learn to Handle Criticism – To maintain a sense of self–respect we need to learn how to deal with
criticism and not take it personally, but to look at it from a detached perspective. Maybe it is false, in which case we should ignore it. If there is some

Even if things go badly, it is not necessary to lose self–respect. Work with the best intentions and gain self–respect from that. Respect others – If we
have no respect for others, how can we have self–respect? Self–respect means we have inner confidence and inner assurance, this is not a confidence or
assurance built on superiority. It is the wrong approach to try and feel better by putting others down. If we look for the good qualities in other people
it is easier to remember the good qualities in ourselves. Look after your appearance – appearance is important, it can give us confidence or it can make
us feel awkward. Dressing smart for the right occasion gives us self–confidence. Dress for your own benefit: don't dress in the expectation of pleasing
others and receiving compliments. Be True to Yourself– There is great social pressure from parents, work and society to become a certain person and
to achieve certain things – this pressure is hard to detach from. Self–respect comes from being true to our inner calling, to have faith in our own values
and remember what is important to us. Everyone needs to follow their own path, even if others don't respect our decision it is important that we do.
Do we come into the world to please Tom, Dick and Harry or to live our own life? Never hate yourself– We make mistakes, we do wrong things, but
we should never put ourselves down unnecessarily. If we are not careful we start bitterly

Mutual Respect Between Students and Teachers
The relationship between students and teachers should be one of mutual respect. Students should listen to the teacher and try their best in the class.
Teachers, on the other hand need to do their best to give their students a quality education and respect them as individuals. There should be a set
curriculum, but teachers need to be creative in how they teach what is required. California is considered one of the lowest in terms of education
standards. In order for this to change, teachers and students both need to start working towards a solution.

The only time I have used Calligraphy since was to address my wedding invitations. I did have a creative writing class, which helped me with my

reflect what will be useful to the students' futures.
Two big differences I noticed between when I attended high school and now were being able to leave campus for lunch, and writing our own notes
when we turned eighteen. Now, because of fighting off campus during lunch as well as tighter security, students have to stay on campus for lunch. I
understand the concern for safety, but is the answer taking away their freedom? A few of the students I talked to referred to school as "jail". Most
schools have fences all the way around them, and some have metal detectors. One local school put video cameras around campus, yet they don't have
enough money for field trips, or updated textbooks.
When I was in High School writing our own notes made us feel like we were being accepted into the adult world. We were responsible for our
decisions. If we missed too many classes our grades would suffer. Making the decision of attending class helped prepare me for the responsibility of
college. Sometimes giving students the ability to make choices about their lives makes them more responsible. Sure there will be those who take

The Importance Of Respect In Society
According to Dictionary.com, respect is defined as esteem for or a sense of the worth or excellence of a person, a personal quality or ability. Respect
typically means that you admire something or someone and their qualities. Respect is something that has been around for centuries. We are taught to
respect our elders. Taught to respect ourselves. Taught to respect each other. One thing that all functioning societies have in common is respect.
Treating others and ourselves with respect creates a nicer, happier world to live in. Without respect, the society we live in would be fall apart due to
the dark, unfriendly, and oblivious nature of humans.
Living in a dark society creates unhappiness and misery. As teens become less and less involved in others lives, people are having to actually stop
and think about being respectful. Unlike now, when our parents were growing up respect was seen among almost everyone. Present day teenagers
take many things for advantage. For example, the courtesies of simple things like holding the door open or saying please and thank you are no longer
common actions that you see in today's world. As of 2017, gesture as simple as holding the door open for someone is thought of as going out of your
way to be respectful and kind. Holding the door open for someone was once considered something that you did without thinking, but now it is
something that many adults would be surprised. Although life goes on around the people who choose to act selfish and

Respect Essay
Respect Many people have different ideas about what respect means. I think it means having respect for others, property, and respect for yourself.
Most people want respect even if it is just a little. The American Heritage Dictionary states that respect is 1.A feeling of appreciative, often deferential
regard, esteem. 2.The state of being regarded with honor or esteem. 3.Willingness to show consideration or appreciation. People demand different
amounts of respect, though not everyone is willing to give the amount needed. Maybe this is because not every one knows what respect means. The
first rule is respect for others. A few of those "others" are teachers, police, authority figures, and business people. Respect...show more content...
This respect should be shown on every ones property including friend's, teachers, and even strangers. The last rule is respecting yourself.
Respecting yourself can mean holding your head up high and respecting your own ideas. You can share your ideas even if you might not thing
they are right. But it can lead to more important things like peer pressure, and not giving into it. It is about not letting it affect you in any way or
sort. You can not have respect for others if you can not respect yourself. There are many little things you can do to show respect. For example you
can clean your room and set the dishes. You can raise your hand when some one else is talking when you have an opinion. Don't be afraid to share
your opinions and ideas. They can be a good example for someone. Be a person that another person would want to look up to. You can not be this
person when you have a lack of respect. You may not notice it, but respect plays a role in our daily lives. Respect follows you wherever you go.
Whether it is in school, your home, or in a restaurant. You may not notice it that other people give you respect, but you do notice when they don't.
Even for the simplest reasons. If you are not respectful than you will not be respected. You can't DEMAND respect, nor make people give respect out
of fear. The scare will not work. You have to get respect by earning it. Remaining calm in bad situations and being

Respecting Others Essay
Respecting Others
The many problems we face today as a society seem to become more and more overwhelming. I believe that respect for one other is a big social issue
we face today in our generation of tomorrow. We see this problem in teens, in so many places. For example, in school there is a lack ofrespect for
students from other fellow students. At home there is a lack of respect from the children of this generation to their parents. There is also a lack of
respect from young adults to most authoritative figures. First, the most apparent sign of lack of respect is in the school with students who do not
respect their peers. Most students fail to recognize each other as equals because of differing economic status, race, and...show more content...
This is where the golden rule comes in to play. If the majority of students up held respect for one another by treating others as they would like to be
treated, situations like Columbine may could have been avoided. The next, most apparent sign of lack of respect is in the common household from
this generation. This is where the whole problem of disrespect begins, learning to disrespect or respect one another. If a juvenile has not been taught to
respect his or her parents, why would that person even consider respecting anyone outside a relationship that was supposed to be close knit?
Adolescents must be taught in the home to respect others; realizing that each person has a differing situation and a different outlook on life, but
before this can happen they too must be respected and regarded themselves. The best way of teaching is to lead by example. Maybe, if taught young
to respect others inside the home, the majority of most young adults could avoid a life misery and trouble. This life is brought before them via their
decisions in life. A good illustration of this is when teenagers turn to gangs to feel respect– the wrong kind – from one another as a substitute for what
they should receive at home, thus leading to a life of violence and crime. This decision of choosing this parody of life only invites for other problems
to begin, in more ways than one. If one person out of the household could sit down and ask Jack and Jill if they know

II.Respect your parents and elders Respect is the greatest gift children can give to their parents and elders. It is not just a responsibility to give respect but it is a moral value and duty. In order to get some respect we should give respect, and parents and elders are the ones who deserve most of our respect as they help us in making our life meaningful. Together with many lessons in life, learning to respect people is also one the important lesson we learn as kids. Respect can be given in many ways. • 4. What Does Being Respect Mean To Me To me, respect means to treat everybody with care and recognition. Being respectful is about accepting a person's styles, methods, and thinking as well as showing him or her courtesy and politeness. Treat people the way you want to be treated by showing him or her the same respect you want for yourself. This action could be carried out in a day–to–day classroom by allowing someone to include their own ideas and contribute to things such as group projects or just being kind in conversation and other types of communication. If someone were to walk into the room and observe this community agreement, he or she would see people sharing techniques and suggestions and nicely commenting on each other's opinions. • 5. Culture can shape us as individuals in many different ways. Things such as gender and race play a big part on shaping us as individuals. Culture shapes how we as people view world. Webster's dictionary defines culture as "The integrated pattern of human knowledge, belief and behavior that depends upon man's capacity for learning and transmitting knowledge to succeeding generations. It is also the customary beliefs, social forms and material traits of a racial, religious or social group" (Webster). Studies show that people that are of different cultures perceive and see things much differently, this is most likely because of how theirculture shaped how they view and act with the world. I believe that a lot of people sometimes overlook how...show more content... In one study US students from the US and Japanese students from Japan were asked to describe an animated underwater scene where one large fish is swimming amongst a school of smaller fish. The American students had a tendency to only report the large fish and ignore all other small objects and detail. Meanwhile the Japanese students had tended to describe all of the details of the background environment and the relationships between animate and inanimate objects. This study shows that the visual focuses of the two different cultures can and are very different. Another study was done with Chinese students instead of Japanese students. The students were given all sorts of situations to resolve. This study found that the Chinese students were "less eager" to resolve any contradictions in a plethora of situations, however the American students were quick to come up with ideas for a solution for all the situations that were presented, and everybody agreed on them to resolve a conflict. Another study where the individual contributors were given a topic with strong arguments in support of an idea and weaker arguments opposing it, the Asian students had a tendency to favor the weaker opposing argument by decreasing their support, while American students actually increased their efforts of the project to support the strong argument. There have been tons more studies which look at the different views of many different cultures, including classification Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 7. The Importance Of Respect Respect can be displayed in numerous ways which may be verbal or none verbal dependent upon the individual. My aim is to demonstrate a clear outline of 'respect' touching upon subjects such as, human rights, and values. Respect can be as straightforward as manors such as 'please' and 'thank you', although many may not always display this. Respect is dignity for every individual, mutual acknowledgment from one individual to another portraying thoughtfulness and equality. (Nhina le, 2016). Respect has changed outstandingly over the years which effects the way we live today. Morally It is of significance to include others without preconceptions or exceptions no matter of differences such as ethnicity or beliefs. (Joyce Catlett and Robert w firestone 2009) respect and human rights interlink, as in 1998 the humans right act came into power which is built up of 30 articles e.g. 'right to life' which states that "nobody including the government can try to end your life" (ref article) these rights are about respect and belong to everyone. VALUEs Values are personal attributes of importance which we are passionate about, gained through life and experiences. Values certainly influence the opinions we have and the choices we make, as these are personal thoughts and felling of what we care about. (Hayden, 2006) Values affect the way we choose to live our life furthermore the way we act towards others and their life.(REF) As we develop as individuals many factors such as age, wisdom and life experiences are likely to have an impacted value's now held in comparison to ones held in younger life, as growth, knowledge and life experience act towards shaping us as individuals and the way we may view things. Values are not factual nevertheless there are no right or wrong values as these are personal to each and every individual. (x2ref) changes were made, which has a huge influence throughout the world. RESPECT– many may say respect should be earned, but in certain instances, this is not always possible, for ex; when holding the door for someone who is walking behind you is effortless human respect, that is morally expected to be given and reciprocated. showing respect for someone does not necessarily mean you have to

  • 9. Treat Others with Respect Hatred and the use of racially derogatory speech We live in a highly amalgamated world where the things have been moving on a very fast pace. That is the idea behind having the world globalized and the bridging of gaps has brought about this massive change in the ways that we look at the world and how we may perceive it. In times like these the management has grown in its domain and the onus is on them to ensure that the things are on the right track. That is something that may sound too simple but in reality it is not so. In times like these it is imperative that the decision making is perfect. It does not matter what is our domain or what is the end target in mind or what we are dealing with because the objective is to get the job done and that can only be done by the proper management of the things. So it all boils down to how responsible we are when it comes to the decision making part and it is so important that the consequences are known or on the very least they should be anticipated to the very last detail. It is all up to the person who is making the choice of using derogatory speech. Now that can be a double edged sword because at times it may work in our favor and win us many hearts. While on the other hand it can backfire as well and when that happens it means that we might be on the verge a lot of allegiance from lot of the cordons. That is as good as losing both the internal and the external customers at the same time. There have been rare cases when the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 10. How To Respect You Essay You also cannot just respect people, you have to respect their property, their family, the things that are special to them, their goals, their life plans... you have to respect what they respect. If people didn't respect each other or anything we would live in a very rough society. When you respect someone it means you like them as a person, you believe that they are decent and worth your time. You believe that they will not be rude to you or hateful and that you can trust them. When you respect a person and when you fear a person it's hard to decipher the two because when you fear someone you respect them because you think they will hurt you or harm you in some way. When you respect someone you feel comfortable with the person and you feel...show more content... In the Ten Commandments the first one is to honor your parents. "It says: "honor your mother and father for they gave birth to you and raised you." In Muslim religion, the Allah asks you to respect your parents till the day you die. This is your moral responsibility to do so. In Hinduism, the god asks you to always remember your mother and father and never forget them in your entire life. Respect your parents for your religion demands you to do so." You should also respect your parents because they are a form of God and some religions state that you should worship them and treat them as if they are a form of God because parents fulfill the wishes that you pray to God. If you pray to God for something you really want (like homecoming) then it is up to your parents to decide whether A) you deserve it and B) do you need it. You should respect your parents because they try to give you as much as possible and even though sometimes they can't give you everything you want (like that pony you have been dying to have since you were seven or that extravaganza Sweet Sixteen that you want because it costs 50,000 dollars because of everything you want (i.e. sushi bar, petting zoo, juggling bear, the "bridal party" of the girl, etc. Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. Respect for Ncos Respect and what it means By: –PFC– C, Mullins Respect it is something everyone wants, not many have, and few will give. Some people would appreciate having a little bit of respect from others, and some should make efforts to show some more respect. Unfortunately, this does not happen all the time. Maybe this is because respect is not clearly understood. What is respect? The dictionary defines it as an act of giving particular attention or high or special regard. Another definition shows respect as a feeling or attitude of admiration and deference toward somebody or something. This does not explain completely what it is, but at least it gives us an idea about what it may be. it is something that you earn over time through your...show more content... There are advantages and disadvantages to all methods. The advantage of the teacher or the students setting rules is that the decision maker gets to implement all his rules and his expectations are being met with. However the foremost disadvantage here would be, if the teacher alone sets the ground rules they may suit the teacher more than the student, whereas if the students makes the ground rules it could achieve the opposite effect. By following the chain of command and keeping respect for ones officers and NCOs the day to day working relationship should and dose run smoother Respect also consides with your battle buddy. Your battle buddies are in the same shoes you are. You are supposed to be able to trust one another. With that trust tasks and situations can be resolved and accomplished much easier and faster. Without having that respect nothing will be accomplished but arguments, and fights, in my own experiences battle buddies are also friends... Greater orders mean bigger consequences. When we go to a restaurant, there's respect. When you go to your family reunion, there is respect. You may not notice it, but that's only because they are being respectful to you .If you're not respectful then you will be disrespected because your being mean. So you should always be respectful to others so they will treat you the way you want to be treated. If you are respectful to others then you can get good jobs because they?ll like you. You being respectful will help you from being depressed from loneliness. You should be honest, kid, nice, gentle, relaxed, and happy to make friends. The word respect is a word to summarize all of the things above and plenty more. Things like being quite while someone is talking, or not bothering someone when they?re in bad mood. I see respect all the time, that?s what makes every thing so easy to do and no one gets sad. If I ever saw someone get knocked over and there stuff is on the ground scattered all over, I would definitely help him pick it up. Because other wise I would feel bad watching them pick it up all by themselves. Always treat others the way you would want to be treated. This way you will be respected and loved. My definition of respect is being nice, generous, and helpful. Because all of those things can be the best things to do if you want to be respectful, which you should always be. We all have or should share and give to be nice and make some new friends. • 13. Outcome 1: Understand the purpose and benefits of respecting and supporting other people at work Outcome 7: Be able to respect and support other people at work in an organisation 1.1, 1.2 The purpose of supporting other people at work is that they feel more comfortable in their role resulting in getting more work done and you can build a healthy working relationship with that person. If no one supports anyone else then businesses can't succeed as you aren't working as part of a team. Working as a team towards an overall goal improves individuals, the team and the business as one. 1.3 Diversity means that someone is different from the majority; for example, a different religion or nationality to where they live etc. There are many benefits to having a diverse workforce for an organisation. The biggest benefit is the creativity this brings in when making decisions or finding solutions to issues. Different cultures can give you a completely different insight in decision making. Also, with diversity you will get a completely different way of working which can inspire a team's productivity. 1.4, 7.4 The benefits to working in a diverse workforce is that it gives me confidence to talk to people that are different age, gender, race, religion etc. I can learn things that I previously wouldn't be able to do if we were all the exact same. The different ideas can impact directly on the way I work and can help me to become more efficient. Working in a diverse workforce means that I need Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Respecting Elders Respecting my elders, and everyone else, just comes natural to me, because when I was just a little girl, I was taught that I must always respect my elders, if I didn't, I'd get a slap on my face by my parents. As I grew up, I came to realize the true meaning of the phrase, "respect your elders," and I agree fully with my mother's teachings. I not only respected my elders, but I respected everyone around me. When I had my children, I taught them the same way my parents taught me, on how to respect their elders, and why. I never had any problems teaching my children how to respect, not only their elders, but how to respect everyone. We need to keep up with the tradition of respect, because so many people are so ignorant with each other,...show more content... Why shouldn't respect go both ways? I think my friends respect me because I respect them. I think it is important to understand what respect is and understand what your elders have gone through to get where we are today. I think everyone deserves the same amount of respect unless given a reason to be disrespected. Quotes: "In Western Civilization, our elders are books." "The Elders were closer to the Maker of All Things and should be deferred to whenever they made their will known." 2 paragraphs The elderly have lived long lives. They are so important in our lives because of this. The longer that one has lived, the more of a life they have to share with others. The elderly have much to contribute to this world. Most already have contributed while others will soon be contributing their best as time goes by. Even the elderly are still learning. It has been said that you learn something new every day, and that is just why even the elderly are still learning. They have much wisdom to share with the world, even if they have just learned it themselves. Learning It really does not matter what your age is. Everyone every day is learning. We learn from both the young and from the old. The young are so precious, and they often inspire us even in the simplest ways. They really have not experienced much yet in the way of living, but they sure can bring up things that we have

  • 16. The Importance Of Integrity And Self Respect Integrity means being true to ourselves and being honest, upright, and honorable in all of our dealings with others. When we are guided by integrity, our thoughts and words are in line with each other; our actions align with our principles, our conduct speaks for us, more eloquently than words ever could. It becomes the basis for both reputation and self–respect. Integrity demands courage but delivers untroubled sleep. Developing integrity requires internal honesty, because we can't be honest with others unless we are honest with ourselves. It requires self awareness, since we cannot accurately communicate what we do not know. The amount of integrity that one has, defines who they are as a person. Being a United States Marine means taking all of your integrity and letting every ounce of it show in everything that you do. People of integrity can be counted on to stand up for what is right, even if it is execrated, and to behave with dignity even when there is no one around to see one perform these actions. Integrity allows other people to put their trust in us because they know that we value our commitments and seek to live by them in all things. It is one of the cornerstones of loving relationships and shared endeavors. • 18. Reflection Essay : Respect For Race And Diversity Respect for Race and Diversity Respect for me is about showing true due regard for someone's feelings, emotions and rights. Respect is a key attribute that I have gained over the last decade of my life both in and around education. Whilst studying Law at Leeds Beckett University I was set various group tasks, one of the first activities set was a group presentation. The group consisted of 5 people and one of which did not understand nor speak very good English. After a couple of days' worth of preparation, the group became frustrated with this one individual, due to his lack of progression, I understood this was not entirely his fault. The group wanted to exclude him from the rest of the group because they felt he would bring their final overall grade down, however, I felt this was wrong of them. To help the project progress I held one to one sessions with him in the library, I explained the project thoroughly so he would understand what was needed of him and finally both he and I would go through practice runs of the presentation. I then spoke to the rest of the group and urged them to communicate with him more rather than exclude him from the presentation. This then led the group to achieve the highest grade possible for our presentation, a 1:1. Whilst working at Leeds Vue Cinema I was appointed a training buddy, this involved training new staff to their new appointed roles. On some occasions Vue Cinema recruited staff that did not speak nor understand very good English. Training was more difficult in these situations, however, I understood my colleagues' situation and trained them accordingly. I went over areas repetitively to ensure my colleagues understood what they were expected to do, I spoke slower and in a softer tone to ensure they could easily understand what I am saying , and urged the experienced staff to communicate to the new staff more and make them feel welcomed and valued to the company. Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 19. Self Respect Essay SELF RESPECT "The worst loneliness is to not be comfortable with yourself." – Mark Twain Self–respect is fundamental for a great life. If self–respect is lacking this may cause insecurity and the strive to be someone we are not. To develop self–respect means to cultivate the self–confidence to deal with whatever life throws at us. Self–respect comes from an inner belief and not an egoistic feeling of superiority. The following are some ways to improve self–respect:– Learn to Handle Criticism – To maintain a sense of self–respect we need to learn how to deal with criticism and not take it personally, but to look at it from a detached perspective. Maybe it is false, in which case we should ignore it. If there is some truth we...show more content... Even if things go badly, it is not necessary to lose self–respect. Work with the best intentions and gain self–respect from that. Respect others – If we have no respect for others, how can we have self–respect? Self–respect means we have inner confidence and inner assurance, this is not a confidence or assurance built on superiority. It is the wrong approach to try and feel better by putting others down. If we look for the good qualities in other people it is easier to remember the good qualities in ourselves. Look after your appearance – appearance is important, it can give us confidence or it can make us feel awkward. Dressing smart for the right occasion gives us self–confidence. Dress for your own benefit: don't dress in the expectation of pleasing others and receiving compliments. Be True to Yourself– There is great social pressure from parents, work and society to become a certain person and to achieve certain things – this pressure is hard to detach from. Self–respect comes from being true to our inner calling, to have faith in our own values and remember what is important to us. Everyone needs to follow their own path, even if others don't respect our decision it is important that we do. Do we come into the world to please Tom, Dick and Harry or to live our own life? Never hate yourself– We make mistakes, we do wrong things, but we should never put ourselves down unnecessarily. If we are not careful we start bitterly Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 20. Mutual Respect Between Students and Teachers The relationship between students and teachers should be one of mutual respect. Students should listen to the teacher and try their best in the class. Teachers, on the other hand need to do their best to give their students a quality education and respect them as individuals. There should be a set curriculum, but teachers need to be creative in how they teach what is required. California is considered one of the lowest in terms of education standards. In order for this to change, teachers and students both need to start working towards a solution. Students need to have more respect for their teachers and take more responsibility for their education. I have noticed a difference in the...show more content... The only time I have used Calligraphy since was to address my wedding invitations. I did have a creative writing class, which helped me with my writing skills, but because of the amount of work we did it seemed more like a required class. Maybe the schools need to update their electives to reflect what will be useful to the students' futures. Two big differences I noticed between when I attended high school and now were being able to leave campus for lunch, and writing our own notes when we turned eighteen. Now, because of fighting off campus during lunch as well as tighter security, students have to stay on campus for lunch. I understand the concern for safety, but is the answer taking away their freedom? A few of the students I talked to referred to school as "jail". Most schools have fences all the way around them, and some have metal detectors. One local school put video cameras around campus, yet they don't have enough money for field trips, or updated textbooks. When I was in High School writing our own notes made us feel like we were being accepted into the adult world. We were responsible for our decisions. If we missed too many classes our grades would suffer. Making the decision of attending class helped prepare me for the responsibility of college. Sometimes giving students the ability to make choices about their lives makes them more responsible. Sure there will be those who take advantage, but are we really being fair by Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 21. The Importance Of Respect In Society According to Dictionary.com, respect is defined as esteem for or a sense of the worth or excellence of a person, a personal quality or ability. Respect typically means that you admire something or someone and their qualities. Respect is something that has been around for centuries. We are taught to respect our elders. Taught to respect ourselves. Taught to respect each other. One thing that all functioning societies have in common is respect. Treating others and ourselves with respect creates a nicer, happier world to live in. Without respect, the society we live in would be fall apart due to the dark, unfriendly, and oblivious nature of humans. Living in a dark society creates unhappiness and misery. As teens become less and less involved in others lives, people are having to actually stop and think about being respectful. Unlike now, when our parents were growing up respect was seen among almost everyone. Present day teenagers take many things for advantage. For example, the courtesies of simple things like holding the door open or saying please and thank you are no longer common actions that you see in today's world. As of 2017, gesture as simple as holding the door open for someone is thought of as going out of your way to be respectful and kind. Holding the door open for someone was once considered something that you did without thinking, but now it is something that many adults would be surprised. Although life goes on around the people who choose to act selfish and Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 22. Respect Essay Respect Many people have different ideas about what respect means. I think it means having respect for others, property, and respect for yourself. Most people want respect even if it is just a little. The American Heritage Dictionary states that respect is 1.A feeling of appreciative, often deferential regard, esteem. 2.The state of being regarded with honor or esteem. 3.Willingness to show consideration or appreciation. People demand different amounts of respect, though not everyone is willing to give the amount needed. Maybe this is because not every one knows what respect means. The first rule is respect for others. A few of those "others" are teachers, police, authority figures, and business people. Respect...show more content... This respect should be shown on every ones property including friend's, teachers, and even strangers. The last rule is respecting yourself. Respecting yourself can mean holding your head up high and respecting your own ideas. You can share your ideas even if you might not thing they are right. But it can lead to more important things like peer pressure, and not giving into it. It is about not letting it affect you in any way or sort. You can not have respect for others if you can not respect yourself. There are many little things you can do to show respect. For example you can clean your room and set the dishes. You can raise your hand when some one else is talking when you have an opinion. Don't be afraid to share your opinions and ideas. They can be a good example for someone. Be a person that another person would want to look up to. You can not be this person when you have a lack of respect. You can't DEMAND respect, nor make people give respect out of fear. The scare will not work. You have to get respect by earning it. Remaining calm in bad situations and being Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 23. Respecting Others Essay Respecting Others The many problems we face today as a society seem to become more and more overwhelming. I believe that respect for one other is a big social issue we face today in our generation of tomorrow. We see this problem in teens, in so many places. For example, in school there is a lack ofrespect for students from other fellow students. At home there is a lack of respect from the children of this generation to their parents. There is also a lack of respect from young adults to most authoritative figures. First, the most apparent sign of lack of respect is in the school with students who do not respect their peers. Most students fail to recognize each other as equals because of differing economic status, race, and...show more content... This is where the golden rule comes in to play. If the majority of students up held respect for one another by treating others as they would like to be treated, situations like Columbine may could have been avoided. The next, most apparent sign of lack of respect is in the common household from this generation. This is where the whole problem of disrespect begins, learning to disrespect or respect one another. If a juvenile has not been taught to respect his or her parents, why would that person even consider respecting anyone outside a relationship that was supposed to be close knit? Adolescents must be taught in the home to respect others; realizing that each person has a differing situation and a different outlook on life, but before this can happen they too must be respected and regarded themselves. The best way of teaching is to lead by example. Maybe, if taught young to respect others inside the home, the majority of most young adults could avoid a life misery and trouble. This life is brought before them via their decisions in life. A good illustration of this is when teenagers turn to gangs to feel respect– the wrong kind – from one another as a substitute for what they should receive at home, thus leading to a life of violence and crime. This decision of choosing this parody of life only invites for other problems to begin, in more ways than one.
