INTRODUCTION
A simple product is a tangible item which you produce out of your interest.
It must have the quality that is different from what is existing to make it
possible to sell. In producing a simple product, one must consider its
usefulness, sale ability and uniqueness. There are a lot of products which
you can produce from what is available from your locality. It can be
handicrafts, recyclable materials, fabric, and the most common is food.
Try to find out what is abundant and indigenous materials in your place
and discover your talents in producing a simple product.

Let’s Understand (Study Concept)
Successful entrepreneurs have some common characteristics that made
them ideal and standout from others. They always want to offer new things and
improve old things to cater to the needs and wants of customers. They desire
to establish business that will enable them to produce simple products. Starting
your own business includes risks and responsibilities such as research,
planning, testing, developing and marketing.
Do you want to be an ideal entrepreneur? What type of business do you
want to get into? A business involves selling a product or service or both.
A product is something that is manufactured following a process or growth and
nurtured in order to be sold for a profit.
Tips on what type of business to get into:
• Start with a hobby or interest.
• Produce something that you can offer or sell to your friends.
• Products that are always in demand are food items.
• Start small before you think of producing bigger quantities.
• Do some research and investigation.
• Observe people and their food preferences.
• Check existing products in the local market or on line.
Things to remember when putting up a business:
• Keep your cost lower while maintaining the quality of your product
• Make sure to canvas on where you can get the materials and supplies at
a lowest price.
• Purchase ingredients in a store or market that sells fresh produce.
• Packaging must be attractive and of good quality to affect its sale
ability.

Here is a sample of simple product that you can produce:
POLVORON
Ingredients:
½ kilo all-purpose flour¼ kilo white sugar
¼ kilo powdered milk1
1 whole cellophane ¼ kilo butter
Procedure:
1. Toast the flour until light brown. Let it cool.
2. Melt the butter. Set aside.
3. Combine powdered milk, sugar and toasted flour.
4. Add the melted butter and mix thoroughly until well blended.
5. Be sure to break the lumps while stirring the mixture.
6. Divide polvoron mixture if you want to add other flavor like nut.
7. Press the molder on the polvoron mixture till you have filled up the cavity.
8. Push the handle to release the molded polvoron then wrap in a cellophane.
Let’s Apply
Following the procedure and the ingredients given, let’s try to prepare
polvoron. Use rubrics to mark your performance. Make a costing for your
expenses. Make a 30 seconds video presentation of your performance.
