What green means to me: Paige Yungstrom
"I believe that we have a responsibility as stewards of this world to treat it
with kindness, respect and love."
Paige Yungstrom
Executive Assistant to KEF SVP, Business Development & Program
Management
Being "green" means a number of things to me. On a grand scale, I think
of it as making small changes in my daily life that will end up making a big difference, not only
in my lifetime, but in the lives of future generations. I take a holistic view because I know that
my decisions are not only affecting humans but all species on the planet Earth.
I believe that we have a responsibility as stewards of this world to treat it with kindness,
respect and love. Green means being conscientious about our everyday decisions and
questioning our actions because they may have both short- and long-term consequences.
You don't have to make monumental changes to make a difference. Your small efforts do count
(greatly).
 Ride your bike to work, walk or share a ride with a friend.
 Buy a reusable bottle for your beverages and recycle all that you can at home (and teach
your family to do the same).
 Buy some compact fluorescent light bulbs (CSLs) and turn off household items (lights, TVs,
computers, etc.) when not in use.
The above examples show how to be greener in your daily life. Remember, you are the key to
a greener planet. Make a habit of the simple changes in your life and make a big difference for
our Planet.
"Be the Key to a better you, an improved world and a happier life."
