Emergency Response Network The Emergency Response Network was created in 2003 to “…[The WGCs Response quickly respond to urgent requests Network] provided pledges for from local nonprofit organizations the entire amount of my first months rent days later - it was a seeking financial aid for women miracle.   9. 9. Journey Camp for Girls In partnership with the Maryland Leadership Council, WGC sponsors rising 8th and 9th grade girls to attend this overnight camp focused on leadership, empowerment, self-awareness and decision-making skills.Womens philanthropy at work .... womensgivingcircle.org
  10. 10. Circle Team In 2011, 70 women participated in team training for the 2011 Columbia Iron Girl Triathlon, raising more than $35,000 for WGC. Circle Team combines personal achievement, fitness training, giving, friendship, and fun!Womens philanthropy at work .... womensgivingcircle.org

Young Women’s Giving Circle In 2010, a group of high school-aged girls formed the Young Women’s Giving Circle, with the goal of learning about leadership, philanthropy, fundraising and community service. In 2011, in their inaugural year of fundraising, they awarded their first grant for $601 to Girls on the Run of Howard County.Womens philanthropy at work .... womensgivingcircle.org

  13. 13. “Girl Power” STEM Career Expo A free introduction to careers in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) for middle and high school girls. Held in partnership with The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) and Math Engineering Science Achievement (MESA), this annual event attracts over 500 girls and their parents.Womens philanthropy at work .... womensgivingcircle.org
