Honors College
I am a journalism major with a focus in public relations and a minor in marketing therefore I believe the Honors college will enhance my academic
experience at Georgia State by allowing me to develop my people skills as well as my personal professional development. The honors college
programs do not only provide rigorous academic programs for strong individuals to constantly feel challenged but it also provides guidance to develop
individual professionalism ,and I believe both would allow me to grow as a journalism major. In addition, I know the amazing staff that the honors
college provides would help me maintain my focus and personal development all four years of my undergraduate studies.
As a journalism major focusing in public relations

Honors class is a place where kids with passion are able to dive further into their interests and allowed to be in a place where they can become the
best students they are capable of being. I have a passion for ELA and I know that for me to become a great learner, I should be in a classroom
which encourages that and allows me to be surrounded by students with the same aspirations that I have. I recognize that all intellectual and logical
thinkers have a solid command of their language, and as I pursue becoming one of those people I realize that taking honors ELA and becoming strong
in communicating is essential to become a successful and articulate person in this day and age. I believe that I possess the qualities required to be

Arguments To The Honors College
For applicants to the Honors College, I would ensure the most qualified candidates admission to the college. We are not just seeking students with a
high academic standard, but someone who can utilize and build upon the reputation of this program. To do this, I would ask a simple, logical question.
However, it can elicit a multi–level response from students to see how they respond to the question posed. I would ask the question, "What do you
intend on achieving while a member of the Honors Program?" I place a great value in the opportunities that are associated with this prestigious group.
Access to undergraduate research opportunities, honors courses, early registration for courses, and opportunities to help serve the community will all

Honors College Experience
During the NJIT open house, I had the opportunity to visit The Honors College, and my first impression of the program left me in awe, I could feel the
environment supporting a strong education through a non–enforcive way. From that moment, I envisioned myself participating in the Honors College:
taking on the rigorous academic course and being able to do research early in my college career. My academic background matched many of the
Honors College students' backgrounds, such as partaking in a variety of rigid classes. In fact, a few of them are from my current high school, Mcnair
Academic, which is a magnet–school with a tough academic standard that requires a college level of commitment from the students. From an academic
perspective, the

What It Means To Be An Honors Student Essay
What does it mean to be an AIG or honors student? Harder work, raised expectations, and a lot of stress is the first thing that comes to my mind,
but after that comes the pride, dedication, and determination that is born from the hardships and being pushed to do our best. Fortunately, we have
more to put on applications that may impress colleges, but is it worth all of the extra worry and anxiety we put ourselves through? It seems that a
lot of honors students have relatively questionable morals. It's proven that honors students are more likely to cheat and over half of the students in
a survey think cheating is okay, but who can blame them? We've been taught our whole school career that the most important thing is our grades,
and we should achieve the best possible in any way we can. Homework is more likely to be cheated on than exams, and I think that's because most
students don't see the point in hours of work outside of school. We are told that we need to have better grades than most of our peers in order to get
into a good college, get a good job, and be successful in life. This mindset also has students thinking that it's okay to sacrifice their mental health, sleep,
and free time to study and do school work. Procrastination is...show more content...
I asked my sister who has taken honors and AP classes all four years of high school about her experiences with these classes and her stress levels. When
asked what being an honors student meant to her, she said "Being stressed, no free time, losing sleep, and it's difficult to perform extracurriculars, but
it allows me to challenge and push myself and makes me want to be a better student." Our classes should challenge us and make us want to be better
students, but they shouldn't cause us to be so stressed that we have frequent headaches, like 32% of students, or changes in our sleep schedule, like

Honors College Motivation
My motivation for applying to honors college is twofold; academics and community.
Being in a group of fellow motivated students who are invested in their learning and not afraid to communicate their interests will help me grow. With
the smaller classes the honor college offers, I can receive a deeper experience out of my studies by discussing others thoughts on the topic. In an honors
college, there is an expectation that your work will be completed outside of class, to prepare for the discussion inside of it which might seem like a
burden to some. For me however, this expectation means that everyone who is involved wants to be involved, and cares about the class as much as I
do. The more challenging workload means that concepts can

University Honors Program Application Essay
I am interested in continuing my educational journey in the University Honors Program at CSULB because I see it as a way to effectively
enhance my undergraduate experience with its opportunities. I have been able to improve and continue to excel and improve in my studies and I
think I can pursue a great education in this program. I will achieve my vision of helping others in the world. I have been adamant in enrolling in a
nursing program that I will excell in. Saving people's lives would change the world and my own life, for the better. It would change the perspective I
have on life with the diversity with different cultures and races. Every experience, every interaction I will be able to have with others, will make me
happy and hopefully

Honors College Reflection
A community fosters a feeling of fellowship with others who share common attitudes, interests, and goals. In a community, people talk, share, and
collaborate. The UIC Honors College brings together students and faculty who desire to learn beyond the traditional classroom setting, and I
would like to make contributions to this community. I will contribute to the Honors College through my determination. I am a dedicated person,
and I fulfill my responsibilities because I always give my best effort. For instance, I have been an officer of Project Diversity for two years and
fulfilled my responsibility as an officer along with keeping my grades up for all of my Honors and AP classes. In addition, I accumulated
approximately 510 hours of service in support of my community and tutored my fellow classmates during half of my lunch period every day. I will
bring that same diligence to the Honors College. My intellectual curiosity is another quality that would be an asset to the Honors College. I am the
type of person who questions on why objects work the way they do or on issues that are not always discussed in classes. Particularly in my Anatomy
class, I loved to ask questions about how the brain creates thought or how the nerves send an electric pulse through the neurotransmitter to the heart's
electrical conduction system, or if the heart's system already has the...show more content...
The Capstone Project would allow me to present an interesting topic to an audience, and allow me to research questions about the human body that I

Reflection Of The Macaulay Honors College Course
I am teaching this Macaulay Honors College course – this content will evolve a bit organically, and I would greatly appreciate your suggestions
/comments/corrections – this CCNY course is only for Macaulay undergrads, and I think that they would be very inspired if they could get a chance to
hear new concepts and interdisciplinary (nanoscience & biophysical chemistry) ideas from you. My class meets on Tuesday and Thursday mornings
(9:30am–10: 45 am), and the classroom (equipped with new audiovisual systems) in Shepard Hall provides a very refreshing and intimate setting to
teach this bunch of 18 sophomores (science and engineering majors) – the room gets lots of sunlight, too. I was wondering if you would be available to

The Honors Program Essay
The Honors Program is a selective program where students need to be academically successful for a chance to get in. However, if I was an
admissions director, I would ask questions to get to know the student personally. The question I want to ask to an applicant is "How has your past
experiences shape who you are now?" With nearly twenty years on Earth, two countries, and one ethnicity, I have had some interesting experiences.
My most interesting experiences, though, have occurred at Drexel. With more than four thousand freshmen, it was a chance for me to meet new
people. I was very eager to make friends, so I attended every single social event during the Welcome Week. However, confronted with statements
such as "Your English is really good!" and "Can you say something in Chinese?" repeatedly, it made me rethink how people view me. I was slightly
shocked, since nobody has ever judged my English solely by my ethnicity....show more content...
However, even these people were unsettling. Most of the Asians I met went to churches, but I did not. And as soon as they realized that, they tried
to "convert me" so that I will dedicate my life to God. I knew that religion was a great part of the Asian life, but it was the first time I had a
firsthand experience of religiously dedicated people. With these experiences, I realized that it is very hard to meet a "perfect" friend. All in all,
Honors Program is a great opportunity for me to meet new people, connect with them, and share insights. I appreciate the experiences that I have
acquired so far because I can learn from them; but I believe that I can learn more by joining the Honors Program. By learning from past experiences, I
can gain skills that will better our community. I am grateful for this opportunity and I sincerely hope that I get

The Suny Stony Brook Honors College would be a perfect fit for me for a wide array of reasons. Even though I may not seem like a suitable
candidate for this program by being part of this program I will gain the extra motivation to work harder at my work. The Honors College provides its
students the opportunity to participate in research at its highest level. This is very important to me because in High school I did research at a university
and this helped me learn a great deal about the topic and by doing research in Stony Brook I can better understand my major. Also in the honorscollege
these students are given the chance to be close with the faculty. This will greatly give beneficial to me because it will help me learn much better when I

Essay On Honor College
Many of my peers are frightened by the idea of an Honors College because they view it only with the mindset that it is exclusively for students who
are overachieving and incredibly intelligent. To me, I see it simply as an opportunity for those who love to learn to make the best of their education. The
University of Illinois at Chicago Honors College will open doors to limitless opportunities that will cultivate my college education immensely. As a part
of the honors student community at my high school, I felt only that I was a part of a family that was growing and learning together through the
struggle of a rigorous education. We stayed up late at night together, and remained after school for hours on end purely for our crave of knowledge

stands for. By volunteering with outside organizations and establishments, I open doors to new relationships between them and the UIC Honors
College. This will creates endless possibilities for new collaborations and new resources and opportunities for the students at UIC. I spent a lot of my
time during high school being active within my school and throughout the community, and I have gained priceless skills and unforgettable experiences
that will serve as the foundation to my next levels of education. All of my hours and commitment to extracurriculars have made me a better person and

Well–rounded are the first words that come to mind when I think of Purdue students, especially engineers. I had the pleasure of meeting many
influential Purdue engineers who have firsthand experience in the Honors College through my father's work. These people exemplified the impact that
is possible. This and their help has influenced my path in life.
Broad perspective is critical. Without it, opportunities and possibilities are greatly limited. The Honors College is not simply a place to gain
perspective, but also a place to provide perspective to others. Interdisciplinary academics, leadership development, undergraduate research, and
community & global experiences are the tenets of the Honors College. My experiences are closely aligned to these views; therefore, I feel I can

With the main goal of creating requirements for an application that would provide a more efficient and effective way for a patient to control their
disease, my research required me to work with the Chief Technology Officer, technologists, medical professionals, and patients to better understand the
key challenges that are affecting how people manage their chronic diseases. The use of technology to provide more efficient health care has many
opportunities. The company is now looking at how to extend this work to help Syrian refugees currently in camps within Turkey.
Furthermore, I have been involved in impacting my community. Through my work with the Young Men's Service League, National Honors Society,
and Methodist Richardson Hospital I have insight into the importance of helping others. Volunteering with the Special Olympics is one of my favorite
activities I have done through National Honors Society. The sense of fulfillment that pervades my body at the conclusion of the volunteering, knowing

Essay On Honors College
Beating at the heart of the Southern Oregon Honors College community lies a close–knit community that focuses on deeper discussions between
students and a student–interest driven content with programs like Take the Lead Projects and Pick and Choose Activities. Small communities, like the
honors college, have been a major part of my life since middle school. This is one of the major reasons why I want to be a part of the honors college
community. I want to immerse myself in an intellectual space where people take responsibility for their actions and communicate with others in an
honest, compassionate way while in a small–scale setting. I think a lot of successful communities do this. When members are comfortable being open
about what they want from their community and communicate that in an empathetic way, a deeper bond is created and people can delve into their
creativity more because they do not fear judgment.
Adding to my capability to contribute to the close–knit honors college community, I participated in an eight–month, leadership and summer–camp
program called CIRCLE geared towards promoting communication, empathy, responsibility, and empowerment. I learned about myself from the
two–month application process by reflecting in writing and an interview about my values. The second phase was a five–month process where we had

Honors College Mission Statement

Alpha Theta (Math honors society), and Business Professionals of America. My involvement in these societies has made me knowledgeable in the
logistics of how to run the society, and have taught me valuable skills such as leadership and collaboration. For logistics, I can help organize events
such as fundraising activities or philanthropic events as I am currently on the social committee for Business Professionals of America, which is in
charge of organizing social events for my chapter. As an elected member for the social committee, my chapter has shown faith in me for my
leadership skills and collaboration skills. Overall, I feel like I can contribute a lot of my skills and knowledge to UIC honors college.

  • 1. Honors College I am a journalism major with a focus in public relations and a minor in marketing therefore I believe the Honors college will enhance my academic experience at Georgia State by allowing me to develop my people skills as well as my personal professional development. The honors college programs do not only provide rigorous academic programs for strong individuals to constantly feel challenged but it also provides guidance to develop individual professionalism ,and I believe both would allow me to grow as a journalism major. In addition, I know the amazing staff that the honors college provides would help me maintain my focus and personal development all four years of my undergraduate studies. • 2. Honors College Essay Sample Honors class is a place where kids with passion are able to dive further into their interests and allowed to be in a place where they can become the best students they are capable of being. I have a passion for ELA and I know that for me to become a great learner, I should be in a classroom which encourages that and allows me to be surrounded by students with the same aspirations that I have. I recognize that all intellectual and logical thinkers have a solid command of their language, and as I pursue becoming one of those people I realize that taking honors ELA and becoming strong in communicating is essential to become a successful and articulate person in this day and age. I believe that I possess the qualities required to be successful Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Arguments To The Honors College For applicants to the Honors College, I would ensure the most qualified candidates admission to the college. We are not just seeking students with a high academic standard, but someone who can utilize and build upon the reputation of this program. To do this, I would ask a simple, logical question. However, it can elicit a multi–level response from students to see how they respond to the question posed. I would ask the question, "What do you intend on achieving while a member of the Honors Program?" I place a great value in the opportunities that are associated with this prestigious group. Access to undergraduate research opportunities, honors courses, early registration for courses, and opportunities to help serve the community will all Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Honors College Experience During the NJIT open house, I had the opportunity to visit The Honors College, and my first impression of the program left me in awe, I could feel the environment supporting a strong education through a non–enforcive way. From that moment, I envisioned myself participating in the Honors College: taking on the rigorous academic course and being able to do research early in my college career. My academic background matched many of the Honors College students' backgrounds, such as partaking in a variety of rigid classes. In fact, a few of them are from my current high school, Mcnair Academic, which is a magnet–school with a tough academic standard that requires a college level of commitment from the students. From an academic perspective, the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. What It Means To Be An Honors Student Essay What does it mean to be an AIG or honors student? Harder work, raised expectations, and a lot of stress is the first thing that comes to my mind, but after that comes the pride, dedication, and determination that is born from the hardships and being pushed to do our best. Fortunately, we have more to put on applications that may impress colleges, but is it worth all of the extra worry and anxiety we put ourselves through? It seems that a lot of honors students have relatively questionable morals. It's proven that honors students are more likely to cheat and over half of the students in a survey think cheating is okay, but who can blame them? We've been taught our whole school career that the most important thing is our grades, and we should achieve the best possible in any way we can. Homework is more likely to be cheated on than exams, and I think that's because most students don't see the point in hours of work outside of school. We are told that we need to have better grades than most of our peers in order to get into a good college, get a good job, and be successful in life. This mindset also has students thinking that it's okay to sacrifice their mental health, sleep, and free time to study and do school work. Procrastination is...show more content... I asked my sister who has taken honors and AP classes all four years of high school about her experiences with these classes and her stress levels. When asked what being an honors student meant to her, she said "Being stressed, no free time, losing sleep, and it's difficult to perform extracurriculars, but it allows me to challenge and push myself and makes me want to be a better student." Our classes should challenge us and make us want to be better students, but they shouldn't cause us to be so stressed that we have frequent headaches, like 32% of students, or changes in our sleep schedule, like Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. Honors College Motivation My motivation for applying to honors college is twofold; academics and community. Being in a group of fellow motivated students who are invested in their learning and not afraid to communicate their interests will help me grow. With the smaller classes the honor college offers, I can receive a deeper experience out of my studies by discussing others thoughts on the topic. In an honors college, there is an expectation that your work will be completed outside of class, to prepare for the discussion inside of it which might seem like a burden to some. For me however, this expectation means that everyone who is involved wants to be involved, and cares about the class as much as I do. The more challenging workload means that concepts can Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. University Honors Program Application Essay I am interested in continuing my educational journey in the University Honors Program at CSULB because I see it as a way to effectively enhance my undergraduate experience with its opportunities. I have been able to improve and continue to excel and improve in my studies and I think I can pursue a great education in this program. I will achieve my vision of helping others in the world. I have been adamant in enrolling in a nursing program that I will excell in. Saving people's lives would change the world and my own life, for the better. It would change the perspective I have on life with the diversity with different cultures and races. Every experience, every interaction I will be able to have with others, will make me happy and hopefully Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. Honors College Reflection A community fosters a feeling of fellowship with others who share common attitudes, interests, and goals. In a community, people talk, share, and collaborate. The UIC Honors College brings together students and faculty who desire to learn beyond the traditional classroom setting, and I would like to make contributions to this community. I will contribute to the Honors College through my determination. I am a dedicated person, and I fulfill my responsibilities because I always give my best effort. For instance, I have been an officer of Project Diversity for two years and fulfilled my responsibility as an officer along with keeping my grades up for all of my Honors and AP classes. In addition, I accumulated approximately 510 hours of service in support of my community and tutored my fellow classmates during half of my lunch period every day. I will bring that same diligence to the Honors College. My intellectual curiosity is another quality that would be an asset to the Honors College. I am the type of person who questions on why objects work the way they do or on issues that are not always discussed in classes. Particularly in my Anatomy class, I loved to ask questions about how the brain creates thought or how the nerves send an electric pulse through the neurotransmitter to the heart's electrical conduction system, or if the heart's system already has the...show more content... • 9. Reflection Of The Macaulay Honors College Course I am teaching this Macaulay Honors College course – this content will evolve a bit organically, and I would greatly appreciate your suggestions /comments/corrections – this CCNY course is only for Macaulay undergrads, and I think that they would be very inspired if they could get a chance to hear new concepts and interdisciplinary (nanoscience & biophysical chemistry) ideas from you. My class meets on Tuesday and Thursday mornings (9:30am–10: 45 am), and the classroom (equipped with new audiovisual systems) in Shepard Hall provides a very refreshing and intimate setting to teach this bunch of 18 sophomores (science and engineering majors) – the room gets lots of sunlight, too. • 10. The Honors Program Essay The Honors Program is a selective program where students need to be academically successful for a chance to get in. However, if I was an admissions director, I would ask questions to get to know the student personally. The question I want to ask to an applicant is "How has your past experiences shape who you are now?" With nearly twenty years on Earth, two countries, and one ethnicity, I have had some interesting experiences. My most interesting experiences, though, have occurred at Drexel. With more than four thousand freshmen, it was a chance for me to meet new people. I was very eager to make friends, so I attended every single social event during the Welcome Week. However, confronted with statements such as "Your English is really good!" and "Can you say something in Chinese?" repeatedly, it made me rethink how people view me. I was slightly shocked, since nobody has ever judged my English solely by my ethnicity....show more content... However, even these people were unsettling. Most of the Asians I met went to churches, but I did not. And as soon as they realized that, they tried to "convert me" so that I will dedicate my life to God. I knew that religion was a great part of the Asian life, but it was the first time I had a firsthand experience of religiously dedicated people. With these experiences, I realized that it is very hard to meet a "perfect" friend. All in all, Honors Program is a great opportunity for me to meet new people, connect with them, and share insights. I appreciate the experiences that I have acquired so far because I can learn from them; but I believe that I can learn more by joining the Honors Program. By learning from past experiences, I can gain skills that will better our community. I am grateful for this opportunity and I sincerely hope that I get Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 13. Essay On Honor College Many of my peers are frightened by the idea of an Honors College because they view it only with the mindset that it is exclusively for students who are overachieving and incredibly intelligent. The University of Illinois at Chicago Honors College will open doors to limitless opportunities that will cultivate my college education immensely. • 14. College Essay On Honor College Well–rounded are the first words that come to mind when I think of Purdue students, especially engineers. I had the pleasure of meeting many influential Purdue engineers who have firsthand experience in the Honors College through my father's work. These people exemplified the impact that is possible. This and their help has influenced my path in life. Broad perspective is critical. Without it, opportunities and possibilities are greatly limited. The Honors College is not simply a place to gain perspective, but also a place to provide perspective to others. • 15. Essay On Honors College Beating at the heart of the Southern Oregon Honors College community lies a close–knit community that focuses on deeper discussions between students and a student–interest driven content with programs like Take the Lead Projects and Pick and Choose Activities. Small communities, like the honors college, have been a major part of my life since middle school. This is one of the major reasons why I want to be a part of the honors college community. I want to immerse myself in an intellectual space where people take responsibility for their actions and communicate with others in an honest, compassionate way while in a small–scale setting. I think a lot of successful communities do this. When members are comfortable being open about what they want from their community and communicate that in an empathetic way, a deeper bond is created and people can delve into their creativity more because they do not fear judgment. Adding to my capability to contribute to the close–knit honors college community, I participated in an eight–month, leadership and summer–camp program called CIRCLE geared towards promoting communication, empathy, responsibility, and empowerment. I learned about myself from the two–month application process by reflecting in writing and an interview about my values. The second phase was a five–month process where we had weekly assignments and...show more content... Traveling and learning about other cultures have been an important part of my life.
