Portfolio Review
December provided the fund with the chance to reap profits and reduce
our losses. The major market indices were at their peak with the Dow
Jones Industrial Average bursting the 18,000pts barrier as well as the S&P
500 advancing over 2,000pts.
These favorable conditions transpire every year end as fund managers,
brokerage houses and investors look to consolidate their positions in
companies they expect to flourish or capture any capital gains that may
have occurred. Furthermore the market has provided an opportunity to
purchase new securities that are anticipated to thrive in 2015.
In the process we sold off all of our financial stocks including Blackstone
Group, Goldman Sachs Group, and State Street Corporation, all for a
healthy profit. However we covered our short position in Interactive
Broker Group at a loss due to the stock’s low performance. Despite that
loss, our net realized gains remain in a positive position.
We succeeded in maintaining our growth focus in 2014. The volatility in
the market provided us with excellent buying prospects for the dips and
selling at a profit on the highs.
We were faced with challenges such as declining oil prices, an unsteady
European Economic Community, Russian economic sanctions and the
ever present terrorism fears.
In spite of this, our portfolio withstood the market shocks as we continue
to be focused on selective and prudent stock selection and are not market
followers. In 2015 we look forward to being more aggressive with our
investing in order to maximize our returns for the fund.

Investment Objective
Javelin Global is designed for the more risk appreciative client and is a
global, muti-asset Fund.
The investment objective of the Fund is to provide capital appreciation over
the medium to long term investment cycles through an aggressive growth
investment style.
This involves the assets being invested in a combination of listed equity and
private equity holdings. Historically the Fund has had a focus on stocks in the
UK and the US but has now shifted to the global market where we believe
more opportunities exist with a broader mandate.
