2. University of Leeds
• I started off by emailing drama societies within the
University, such as Stage@Leeds and the Open
Theatre Society.
• I did not receive any responses from the theatre
societies
• Although I received an email back from Jane
Richardson at Stage@Leeds saying that they would
be able to advertise the roles on their website, I was
not contacted by any willing students.

6. Local Drama Schools/Stage
School
• Next, I tried to contact local drama schools to see if they had any
interested students or could point me in the right direction.
• I phoned Stagecoach Leeds Horsforth and Leeds Morley and spoke to
the manager, Ken. He asked me to email him the relevant details so he
could forward them to interested parties. However, I did not hear back
from anyone.
• I also emailed Kristie from PQAgencies| Q Management for child and
teenage actors. She said they may have interested adult actor in Q
Management and child actors in Quirky Kidz, however, I received no
feedback.
• Lastly, I emailed YAFTA (Yorkshire Academy of Film and Television),
however, again, I did not hear back from anyone willing to fufill the roles.

9. Kids Calling Cast Pro
• In order to find child actors, I also set up an
account on Kids Casting Call Pro.
• However, after doing this, I found out that they did
not advertise unpaid jobs for children.
10. Calling Cast Pro
• I also set up a Calling Cast Pro account for the
character of Matthew (Protagonist) and Mrs
Harrison (The Mum)
• I had a successful response for this advertisement
and 5 males contacted me via email.
• However, they all lived very far away, therefore
making it very inconvenient. Some were also
expecting expenses to be paid, which our student
budget could not afford.
