manager and other department heads. Each department head is encouraged to gather
suggestions for sustainability and social projects from their department team members and
present those to the committee head. Opportunities can range from raising funds to support
community members who need expensive medical treatments, supporting the development
of animal shelters that are ethically tackling pet overpopulation, and developing recycling
programs, to supporting internship programs, teaching IT at the local universities, endorsing
programs to support more women in tech, and aiding the local community in improving the
standard of living for all its citizens.
Each project within Softjourn has an internal champion who has the opportunity to rally and
lead their fellow Softjourners in that project. The collaboration, community, and respect that
comes from having many internal leaders is fantastic. Softjourners develop leadership skills
that they can use throughout their careers, and the increased engagement builds a great
work environment. This past year has been challenging for Softjourners in Ukraine, but they
are answering the call to support Ukraine in its efforts to remain whole and push towards
becoming part of the European Union. This involves not only raising money and buying
supplies to support Ukraine’s military efforts but also to support the development of Ukraine
as a country friendly to investors and as a tech center. I am continually amazed at the
unlimited ideas that come through the committees for approval and the seemingly unlimited
levels of generosity in terms of time and finances that Softjourners are willing to go to for the
ideas that they are passionate about.
Softjourn is here to support those ideas and to improve Softjourners’ lives and the
communities around them.
Emmy Gengler, CEO at Softjourn
Foreword
If any core value embodies Softjourn’s emphasis on social
responsibility, it is “Think Human.” This phrase not only
encompasses how we interact with each other and with
our clients, but also how we react and live within our local
environment, striving to make life better for everyone.
Softjourn realizes that we have a responsibility to all of
our stakeholders, clients, and partners as well as to all of
our Softjourners and to the communities and countries in
which we live. Softjourners put in thousands of hours a
year sharing of themselves to improve the world.
Softjourn’s managing director in the Ukraine is our Head
of Corporate Social Responsibility and leads the
committee that reviews all Softjourner suggestions and
identified social opportunities. Softjourn’s technical
director is also the Head of Sustainability for Softjourn.
He leads a committee which includes our facilities

Community Involvement and Development
Making Local Life Better
Softjourn is the primary sponsor of the Teple
Misto, or Warm City, initiative, a local project in
IvanoFrankivsk (IF) in Western Ukraine. This
initiative aims to create new opportunities for
IF citizens and increase the overall standard of
living through increased capability, trust, and
ambition. Warm City has several components,
including Warm IT, Warm Bike City, and Warm
Education.
We support Warm City’s goal to make IF better known for its IT specialists and to generate a
positive image of our city on the greater map of Ukraine. Softjourn team leaders organize
meetings with initiative groups and develop new IT projects to make life in IF more
comfortable. Softjourn’s Technical Director Sergiy Fitsak is a member of the Supervisory
Committee responsible for the strategic development of Warm City and oversees its main
activities.
In close cooperation with the Warm City team, Softjourn developed and continues to maintain
City Scanning, a fun-engagement app that assists IF visitors and residents navigate the events
of City Scanning Session, an IF urban festival.
We are always happy to hear feedback on the work we do, so thank you to Anna Pashynska,
Chief Event Coordinator, for her kind words: “You can only have such an awesome app if there
is a company like Softjourn in your city!”

Building a Positive Image of Ukraine’s IT Industry
Our CEO and president, Emmy Gengler, was recently added to the Leadership Committee
for How Women Lead in the Boardroom. This accolade lends further credibility to Softjourn
and the power and value of our outsourcing work, emphasizing the value of Ukrainian
developers and other IT professionals.
Softjourn is partnered with and a co-founder of one of the largest design conferences in
Ukraine, Design Village. We developed an application for the conference, also named Design
Village, that is similar to the Warm City app. The Design Village app informs conference
goers about schedules, lectures, exhibition and workshop locations, and much more. It also
provides a pocket guide to great restaurants and tourist attractions around IF.
Softjourn is a co-founder of IT Cluster IF, which focuses on the development of the local IT
environment and promote interests of IT sector in the region.
Softjourn participates in the Hi-Tech Initiative, a leading Ukrainian association of IT
outsourcing companies. One of the association’s main objectives is to promote Ukrainian
software development companies, along with a positive image of the Ukrainian IT
outsourcing industry in global markets. The “Exploring Ukraine: IT Outsourcing Industry”
report published by the Ukrainian Hi-Tech Initiative is intended for current and potential
clients of software development and IT outsourcing services that are looking for
opportunities to set up a business in the Ukraine. The report provides all the information
needed to understand the Ukrainian market.
Softjourn also participates in the Brain Basket Foundation. The aim of Brain Basket is to
train an additional 100,000 IT specialists by the year 2020. Softjourn management is on the
advisory board of this organization.
Softjourn executives frequently participate in outsourcing conferences, with a focus on why
businesses should collaborate with companies from the Ukraine. We put a lot of emphasis
on supporting a positive image of Ukraine and showcasing skillful, talented Ukrainian
developers.
Softjourn is a member of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine and shares its
vision to be a Partner of Choice and positive driver of change in business environment for
the benefit of Ukraine.
We continue to volunteer and donate to a local dog shelter, Dim Sirka; we also annually
support the Red Cross, support local anti-cancer projects, and provide local orphanages with
toys and clothes for children, to name just a few of our charity projects.
Participating in Community Events
Softjourn is an active participant of community events. The following are some brief
examples:
Softjourn participated in IT Rally Starters in April 2019, which was held at the king Danylo
Halytskyi University. We met lots of people and handed out lots of swag!
We are frequent collaborators with Roboclub, a local computer educational program for
kids.
Each year, we participate in the “Random Act of Kindness Day,” which fell on February 1
this year. We collected food and other necessities for those in need, and left friendly notes
on random vehicles parked around the office.
In May 2019, Softjourn sponsored and participated by giving a presentation at the 2019
IT Rally Valkyrie.
Softjourn’s football team participated in the 2019 IF Football IT League Cup and took home
the cup for Vice Champions.
Eighteen Softjourners took part in the IF Half Marathon, clocking a fast enough time to nab
the third place trophy.
Softjourn assisted in the local installation of a rehab and recreation zone for the IF Geriatric
Boarding House in April 2019.
Two Softjourn employees, in partnership with the local IT-Cluster, were the first to hold a
free meetup regarding data science and machine learning in October 2019 at King Danylo
Halytskyi University to educate all who were interested.
We continue to volunteer and donate to a local dog shelter, Dim Sirka.

Labor Practices
Softjourn’s General Labor Practices
Personal and Professional Growth and Development
Educational assistance: To encourage professional growth and development, Softjourn
provides educational assistance to employees for tuition and successfully passed certifications.
Our employees have access to downloaded eCornell courses, including High Performance
Leadership, Marketing Strategy, Project Leadership, Business Strategy, Achieving Competitive
Advantage, and many more. More than 20 percent of Softjourn’s staff is eligible to participate in
eCornell courses at any one time. An employee can become certified in all seven eCornell
areas.
English classes: Since we are a company with offices in three countries, we encourage a
culture of using English as an international language to communicate. Our experienced English
Instructors have established various education programs connected to different spheres:
domain courses, Email English, and individually designed 1:1 classes. All classes are free for
Softjourners.
Timeless and Trendy Talks (TTT): We offer employees the opportunity to present TTT, or
Timeless and Trendy Talks. These TED-like presentations are opportunities to share ideas,
knowledge, skills, dreams, feelings, failures, or achievements—anything one might think could
be helpful to a coworker’s career or personal growth. It’s an opportunity to practice public
speaking skills and connect with colleagues.
Blockchain loyalty program “SJ coins”: Our SJ coins project is part of our R&D put into
practice. Based on cryptocurrency, each Softjourner in the IF office is furnished with SJ coins to
spend on goods sold in our office vending machine. Employees will also be able to suggest
charitable projects and spend their SJ coins to support them through our upcoming SJ
foundation.
Employees agree to:
Conduct themselves at all times in a
manner befitting their status as a
representative of Softjourn.
Perform all assignments to the absolute
best of their ability.

2019 Office Improvements
In 2019, Softjourn expanded its IF office to a fifth floor. This included 100% recycled tables
and additional meeting rooms.
We populated it with standing desks made by a local company to improve working conditions
for employees who spend hours sitting at their desks. It also includes a relaxation zone,
sports zone, shower, and a terrace with a gorgeous view.
The space is clean and open, with lots of natural light. Our own Graphics Department
designed and created the mural that greets all employees and visitors.
We added additional 1-to-1 meeting rooms, increased the number of workplaces, and
provided additional amenities like fresh fruit and easily accessible drinking water in the
kitchen to lessen the need for bottled water.

Fair Operating Practices
Softjourn’s directors, officers, and employees shall neither make nor receive payoffs, bribes,
illegal contributions, or other unlawful payments of money or other things of value, shall not
perform any improper acts in any country, and shall not knowingly have a business
relationship with any representative who violates this guideline.
Softjourn’s directors, officers, and employees shall not promise, offer to make, or authorize
the payment of money, a gift, or anything of value, directly or indirectly, to any foreign
government official, any foreign political party or official thereof, or any candidate for foreign

Directors, officers, and employees shall provide nothing of value, including payments,

All client materials received by directors, officers, and employees of Softjourn are strictly
confidential. All Softjourn personnel will take extreme care to protect both the information
and the identity of clients in line with the client’s wishes.
Softjourn encourages directors, officers, and employees to engage in public speaking,

Directors, officers, and employees responsible for reporting financial information and other
data must do so accurately, honestly, and carefully, and in a manner consistent with

Directors, officers, and employees are prohibited from engaging in any activity that could be
construed as an attempt by Softjourn to (a) influence the introduction, modification, approval,

Environmental Impact
Reducing the impact of transport: Softjourn is a primary sponsor of the IF-based Warm
City initiative. One of this initiative’s aims is to work actively to make IF bike friendly. Many
Softjourners participate in programs to make our city bike-friendly, with most employees
riding bicycles or walking to work. All employees are allowed to leave their bicycle inside
our office for better security.
Minimizing waste generation:
In the office: Physical printing is done on a restricted basis. Employees are encouraged to
share materials virtually and documents are viewed together via projectors or individual
mobile devices. We have also upgraded to electronic notebooks to lessen our company’s
energy consumption. We have also stopped using our own servers and try to use only
cloud (on-demand) services, which has led to less energy consumption. Softjourn’s IF
office is located between other buildings, which reduces A/C usage in winter and
summer. We have many plants throughout our office to freshen the air and create a
greener space. We think about conservation down to the smallest touches; recently, we
replaced our previously plastic mouse traps with corticated ones. Additionally, our
corporate logo is made from wood.
In the kitchen: We have an ongoing relationship with SortSmart to lessen our carbon
footprint through recycling as much as possible. Bins are provided for collecting different
types of kitchen waste, separating recyclable materials from those that cannot be
recycled: plastic and glassware binned apart from regular waste. We have a special bin
for collecting power units such as batteries and we encourage our employees to also
bring them from home so we can have them recycled. We have also encouraged
Softjourners to bring their own reusable plates, utensils, cups, and bags from home in
order to lessen the need to use disposable items.
Efficient use of water and energy: We have reduced the temperature in all water boilers.
We have also added a special nozzle to our office taps to reduce the water usage up to 40%.

Consumer Issues
Softjourn works to improve the places where it operates: Ukraine, Poland, and the U.S.; our
products are designed to be clear, consumer friendly, and easy to use. Our main goal is to
always provide a user interface that meets our customer’s needs and satisfies their clientele.
This begins by involving design in every step of the software development life cycle; this
ensures that what is described by clients it not only understood by developers, but creatable
in our designer’s hands.
By keeping all parties involved through the SDLC process, we avoid frustration that might be
otherwise created by siloing and miscommunication by disparate groups. Many of our
designers have developer roots, and thus understand how to implement design cleanly within
a particular functionality or need.
We also work to reduce the amount of waste our office creates. As previously described, we
restrict printing to only as-necessary and instead encourage the use of digital documents and
sharing across devices. We’ve replaced computers with energy-saving notebooks, and recycle
items from paper to electronic batteries.
Softjourn also develops consumer-friendly documentation to assist with our end product.
Aside from the typical Word, PDF, HTML, and e-book types of documentation, we also develop
specifically for different kinds of user needs:
Video guides: Our most frequent type of documentation, this provides clear, visual
instructions for our designs. We use a synthesized voice in all of our videos, which is
familiar to blind users and adapts more easily to faster play speeds.
Web-based help: This type of documentation is free from specific platform dependence,
can be updated continuously to be sure we are offering users the most current
information, and is viewable on both desktop and mobile devices. It is viewable with a
regular web browser and does not require a specific application.
README Files: README files are included with software packages to provide information
about other files in a directory or archive of computer software. They typically are
packaged as plain text files, which means any computer with a program as simple as the
Notepad can access them.
API documentation: Application platform interface documentation is used by developers
to integrate software using APIs. We develop this documentation to be clear and user
friendly.
Data sheets: These types of documents summarize the performance and other technical
characteristics of a solution in sufficient detail that a design engineer can integrate it into
an existing system.
Infographics/diagrams: We often include charts and other graphics in our documentation
to ensure that explanations are clear and users can fully grasp the concepts being
discussed.
For more about our documentation types and examples, click here.

Organizational Governance
For the governance of client projects, Softjourn uses Redmine to track employee activities and
project progress. The system enables us to resolve issues quickly and to keep all team
members informed.
Our marketing department uses Sugar CRM and Microsoft Dynamics CRM to track potential,
ongoing, and past client activities. We record all relevant information about correspondence
and calls for a particular account as well the time and day for a follow-up contact; the system
acts as a valuable reminder to contact a client or prospect exactly when we promised to.
Some Softjourn departments use Asana to organize internal initiatives around objectives and
key results (OKRs). Any employee can use this product to plan and manage current and future
projects without proliferating emails and creating separate tasks. Users have their own virtual
workspaces with their own projects/tasks. They can add notes, comments, attachments, or
followers. If a project or task is completed or updated, followers get updates about changes in
their inboxes. Asana coordinates the work on individual projects and stores all information in
one place, enabling followers or other stakeholders to easily monitor each other’s work.
In house, Softjourn implemented Technology Guilds and the Design Thinking Department to
share technology and domain knowledge among Softjourn employees.
For real-time internal messaging, file sharing, search and security capabilities, Softjourn uses
Skype and Workplace.

  • 3. manager and other department heads. Each department head is encouraged to gather suggestions for sustainability and social projects from their department team members and present those to the committee head. Opportunities can range from raising funds to support community members who need expensive medical treatments, supporting the development of animal shelters that are ethically tackling pet overpopulation, and developing recycling programs, to supporting internship programs, teaching IT at the local universities, endorsing programs to support more women in tech, and aiding the local community in improving the standard of living for all its citizens. Each project within Softjourn has an internal champion who has the opportunity to rally and lead their fellow Softjourners in that project. The collaboration, community, and respect that comes from having many internal leaders is fantastic. Softjourners develop leadership skills that they can use throughout their careers, and the increased engagement builds a great work environment. This past year has been challenging for Softjourners in Ukraine, but they are answering the call to support Ukraine in its efforts to remain whole and push towards becoming part of the European Union. This involves not only raising money and buying supplies to support Ukraine’s military efforts but also to support the development of Ukraine as a country friendly to investors and as a tech center. I am continually amazed at the unlimited ideas that come through the committees for approval and the seemingly unlimited levels of generosity in terms of time and finances that Softjourners are willing to go to for the ideas that they are passionate about. Softjourn is here to support those ideas and to improve Softjourners’ lives and the communities around them. Emmy Gengler, CEO at Softjourn Foreword If any core value embodies Softjourn’s emphasis on social responsibility, it is “Think Human.” This phrase not only encompasses how we interact with each other and with our clients, but also how we react and live within our local environment, striving to make life better for everyone. Softjourn realizes that we have a responsibility to all of our stakeholders, clients, and partners as well as to all of our Softjourners and to the communities and countries in which we live. Softjourners put in thousands of hours a year sharing of themselves to improve the world. Softjourn’s managing director in the Ukraine is our Head of Corporate Social Responsibility and leads the committee that reviews all Softjourner suggestions and identified social opportunities. Softjourn’s technical director is also the Head of Sustainability for Softjourn. He leads a committee which includes our facilities 2019 © Softjourn, Inc. — CONFIDENTIAL Page 3 of 16 CSR at Softjourn | 2019 IAOP Application Oct. 16, 2019

  • 5. Community Involvement and Development Making Local Life Better Softjourn is the primary sponsor of the Teple  Misto, or Warm City, initiative, a local project in IvanoFrankivsk (IF) in Western Ukraine. This initiative aims to create new opportunities for IF citizens and increase the overall standard of living through increased capability, trust, and ambition. Warm City has several components, including Warm IT, Warm Bike City, and Warm Education. We support Warm City’s goal to make IF better known for its IT specialists and to generate a positive image of our city on the greater map of Ukraine. Softjourn team leaders organize meetings with initiative groups and develop new IT projects to make life in IF more comfortable. Softjourn’s Technical Director Sergiy Fitsak is a member of the Supervisory Committee responsible for the strategic development of Warm City and oversees its main activities. In close cooperation with the Warm City team, Softjourn developed and continues to maintain City Scanning, a fun-engagement app that assists IF visitors and residents navigate the events of City Scanning Session, an IF urban festival. We are always happy to hear feedback on the work we do, so thank you to Anna Pashynska, Chief Event Coordinator, for her kind words: “You can only have such an awesome app if there is a company like Softjourn in your city!” 2019 © Softjourn, Inc. — CONFIDENTIAL Page 5 of 16 CSR at Softjourn | 2019 IAOP Application Oct. 16, 2019
  • 6. • • • • • • • • 2019 © Softjourn, Inc. — CONFIDENTIAL Page 6 of 16 CSR at Softjourn | 2019 IAOP Application Oct. 16, 2019 Building a Positive Image of Ukraine’s IT Industry Our CEO and president, Emmy Gengler, was recently added to the Leadership Committee for How Women Lead in the Boardroom. This accolade lends further credibility to Softjourn and the power and value of our outsourcing work, emphasizing the value of Ukrainian developers and other IT professionals. Softjourn is partnered with and a co-founder of one of the largest design conferences in Ukraine, Design Village. We developed an application for the conference, also named Design Village, that is similar to the Warm City app. The Design Village app informs conference goers about schedules, lectures, exhibition and workshop locations, and much more. It also provides a pocket guide to great restaurants and tourist attractions around IF. Softjourn is a co-founder of IT Cluster IF, which focuses on the development of the local IT environment and promote interests of IT sector in the region. Softjourn participates in the Hi-Tech Initiative, a leading Ukrainian association of IT outsourcing companies. One of the association’s main objectives is to promote Ukrainian software development companies, along with a positive image of the Ukrainian IT outsourcing industry in global markets. The “Exploring Ukraine: IT Outsourcing Industry” report published by the Ukrainian Hi-Tech Initiative is intended for current and potential clients of software development and IT outsourcing services that are looking for opportunities to set up a business in the Ukraine. The report provides all the information needed to understand the Ukrainian market. Softjourn also participates in the Brain Basket Foundation. The aim of Brain Basket is to train an additional 100,000 IT specialists by the year 2020. Softjourn management is on the advisory board of this organization. Softjourn executives frequently participate in outsourcing conferences, with a focus on why businesses should collaborate with companies from the Ukraine. We put a lot of emphasis on supporting a positive image of Ukraine and showcasing skillful, talented Ukrainian developers. Softjourn is a member of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine and shares its vision to be a Partner of Choice and positive driver of change in business environment for the benefit of Ukraine. We continue to volunteer and donate to a local dog shelter, Dim Sirka; we also annually support the Red Cross, support local anti-cancer projects, and provide local orphanages with toys and clothes for children, to name just a few of our charity projects.
  • 7. Participating in Community Events Softjourn is an active participant of community events. The following are some brief examples: Softjourn participated in IT Rally Starters in April 2019, which was held at the king Danylo Halytskyi University. We met lots of people and handed out lots of swag! We are frequent collaborators with Roboclub, a local computer educational program for kids. Each year, we participate in the “Random Act of Kindness Day,” which fell on February 1 this year. We collected food and other necessities for those in need, and left friendly notes on random vehicles parked around the office. In May 2019, Softjourn sponsored and participated by giving a presentation at the 2019 IT Rally Valkyrie. Softjourn’s football team participated in the 2019 IF Football IT League Cup and took home the cup for Vice Champions. Eighteen Softjourners took part in the IF Half Marathon, clocking a fast enough time to nab the third place trophy. Softjourn assisted in the local installation of a rehab and recreation zone for the IF Geriatric Boarding House in April 2019. Two Softjourn employees, in partnership with the local IT-Cluster, were the first to hold a free meetup regarding data science and machine learning in October 2019 at King Danylo Halytskyi University to educate all who were interested. We continue to volunteer and donate to a local dog shelter, Dim Sirka. • • • • • • • • • 2019 © Softjourn, Inc. — CONFIDENTIAL Page 7 of 16 CSR at Softjourn | 2019 IAOP Application Oct. 16, 2019 Participating in Community Events Softjourn is an active participant of community events. • 10. 2019 Office Improvements In 2019, Softjourn expanded its IF office to a fifth floor. This included 100% recycled tables and additional meeting rooms. We populated it with standing desks made by a local company to improve working conditions for employees who spend hours sitting at their desks. It also includes a relaxation zone, sports zone, shower, and a terrace with a gorgeous view. The space is clean and open, with lots of natural light. Our own Graphics Department designed and created the mural that greets all employees and visitors. We added additional 1-to-1 meeting rooms, increased the number of workplaces, and provided additional amenities like fresh fruit and easily accessible drinking water in the kitchen to lessen the need for bottled water. 2019 © Softjourn, Inc. — CONFIDENTIAL Page 10 of 16 CSR at Softjourn | 2019 IAOP Application Oct. 16, 2019

Softjourn’s directors, officers, and employees shall not promise, offer to make, or authorize the payment of money, a gift, or anything of value, directly or indirectly, to any foreign government official, any foreign political party or official thereof, or any candidate for foreign political office for the purpose of inducing favorable business treatment or to affect any government decision. • 13. 2019 © Softjourn, Inc. — CONFIDENTIAL Page 13 of 16 CSR at Softjourn | 2019 IAOP Application Oct. 16, 2019 Environmental Impact Reducing the impact of transport: Softjourn is a primary sponsor of the IF-based Warm City initiative. One of this initiative’s aims is to work actively to make IF bike friendly. Many Softjourners participate in programs to make our city bike-friendly, with most employees riding bicycles or walking to work. All employees are allowed to leave their bicycle inside our office for better security. Minimizing waste generation: In the office: Physical printing is done on a restricted basis. Employees are encouraged to share materials virtually and documents are viewed together via projectors or individual mobile devices. We have also upgraded to electronic notebooks to lessen our company’s energy consumption. We have also stopped using our own servers and try to use only cloud (on-demand) services, which has led to less energy consumption. Softjourn’s IF office is located between other buildings, which reduces A/C usage in winter and summer. We have many plants throughout our office to freshen the air and create a greener space. We think about conservation down to the smallest touches; recently, we replaced our previously plastic mouse traps with corticated ones. Additionally, our corporate logo is made from wood. In the kitchen: We have an ongoing relationship with SortSmart to lessen our carbon footprint through recycling as much as possible. Bins are provided for collecting different types of kitchen waste, separating recyclable materials from those that cannot be recycled: plastic and glassware binned apart from regular waste. We have a special bin for collecting power units such as batteries and we encourage our employees to also bring them from home so we can have them recycled. We have also encouraged Softjourners to bring their own reusable plates, utensils, cups, and bags from home in order to lessen the need to use disposable items. Efficient use of water and energy: We have reduced the temperature in all water boilers. We have also added a special nozzle to our office taps to reduce the water usage up to 40%. • • •
  • 14. Consumer Issues Softjourn works to improve the places where it operates: Ukraine, Poland, and the U.S.; our products are designed to be clear, consumer friendly, and easy to use. Our main goal is to always provide a user interface that meets our customer’s needs and satisfies their clientele. This begins by involving design in every step of the software development life cycle; this ensures that what is described by clients it not only understood by developers, but creatable in our designer’s hands. By keeping all parties involved through the SDLC process, we avoid frustration that might be otherwise created by siloing and miscommunication by disparate groups. Many of our designers have developer roots, and thus understand how to implement design cleanly within a particular functionality or need. We also work to reduce the amount of waste our office creates. As previously described, we restrict printing to only as-necessary and instead encourage the use of digital documents and sharing across devices. We’ve replaced computers with energy-saving notebooks, and recycle items from paper to electronic batteries. Softjourn also develops consumer-friendly documentation to assist with our end product. Aside from the typical Word, PDF, HTML, and e-book types of documentation, we also develop specifically for different kinds of user needs: Video guides: Our most frequent type of documentation, this provides clear, visual instructions for our designs. We use a synthesized voice in all of our videos, which is familiar to blind users and adapts more easily to faster play speeds. Web-based help: This type of documentation is free from specific platform dependence, can be updated continuously to be sure we are offering users the most current information, and is viewable on both desktop and mobile devices. It is viewable with a regular web browser and does not require a specific application. README Files: README files are included with software packages to provide information about other files in a directory or archive of computer software. They typically are packaged as plain text files, which means any computer with a program as simple as the Notepad can access them. API documentation: Application platform interface documentation is used by developers to integrate software using APIs. We develop this documentation to be clear and user friendly. Data sheets: These types of documents summarize the performance and other technical characteristics of a solution in sufficient detail that a design engineer can integrate it into an existing system. Infographics/diagrams: We often include charts and other graphics in our documentation to ensure that explanations are clear and users can fully grasp the concepts being discussed. • 15. Organizational Governance For the governance of client projects, Softjourn uses Redmine to track employee activities and project progress. The system enables us to resolve issues quickly and to keep all team members informed. Our marketing department uses Sugar CRM and Microsoft Dynamics CRM to track potential, ongoing, and past client activities. We record all relevant information about correspondence and calls for a particular account as well the time and day for a follow-up contact; the system acts as a valuable reminder to contact a client or prospect exactly when we promised to. Some Softjourn departments use Asana to organize internal initiatives around objectives and key results (OKRs). Any employee can use this product to plan and manage current and future projects without proliferating emails and creating separate tasks. Users have their own virtual workspaces with their own projects/tasks. They can add notes, comments, attachments, or followers. If a project or task is completed or updated, followers get updates about changes in their inboxes. Asana coordinates the work on individual projects and stores all information in one place, enabling followers or other stakeholders to easily monitor each other’s work. In house, Softjourn implemented Technology Guilds and the Design Thinking Department to share technology and domain knowledge among Softjourn employees. For real-time internal messaging, file sharing, search and security capabilities, Softjourn uses Skype and Workplace. 2019 © Softjourn, Inc. — CONFIDENTIAL Page 15 of 16 CSR at Softjourn | 2019 IAOP Application Oct. 16, 2019
