2. Out of the 3 Application servers, 2-Nodes have concurrent services with Parallel Concurrent Processing (PCP) setup done to
increase processing efficiency.
On thestorage side the instance has ASM technology with CRS maintaining the instances and load distribution

Major Tasks:
 Upgraded Database 11gR1RAC to 11gR2RAC.It includes upgrade of ASM 11gR1 (11.1.0.7) to Grid infrastructure
11gR2 (11.2.0.4) and Oracle RAC Database from 11.1.0.7 to 11.2.0.4 RAC.
 Migration of Oracle E-Business Suite 12.1.3 applications from Linux x86-64 RHEL 5 to Linux x86-64 RHEL 6
 Upgraded Oracle E-Business Suite from 12.1.3 to 12.2.4.
Daily Checklist:
 Provide 16*5 Office and On Call support of critical databases and applications.
 Managing and tuning Oracle Fusion middleware components like Web Logic and Troubleshooting Oracle E-Business

 Perform E-Business suite systemadministration tasks.
 All day to day support activity includes monitoring, Online Patching, Cloning (Database and Application) and
managing outages

Weekly/Monthly Procedures
1. Look for Security Policy Violations, data corruption issues, memory leaks, Out of memory issues, monitoring Java
Garbage Collection, review thread dumps,SQL*Net logs for Errors,etc.
 Look in both Server side logs, AWR/ASH, analyzer reports for error and other problems that may need attention.
 Purge all old RMAN entries, concurrent requests, workflow, etc. from the application using scheduled scripts.
 Review and monitor systemand instance resources (i.e., database storage, memory, CPU, network usage, and I/O
contention) to insure continuous database operations.
 Look for Harmful Growth Rates. Review changes in segment growth when compared to previous reports to identify
segments with a harmful growth rate, etc.

3. Project Description:
Qantas has complex infrastructure of Oracle Applications(11.5.10.2) having latest technologies like 10g RAC databases,SSO,
Portal, Shared APPL_TOP ,Discoverer, Internet file system(IFS). Supported total10+ Production, Development and UAT
instances of Qantas Airway Ltd.
All the databases and Applications run on AIX Unix. Flash copy doneat OS level using RMAN for database backup and
recovery.
Responsibilities:
 Providing 24*7 On Call support for critical application issues with tight SLAs.
 Worked both from Offshore/Onsite offices of Qantas Airway Ltd.
 Lead a team sizeof around 4-5 team members both at Onsiteand at Offshore.
 Managing Multi node Oracle11i EBS applications with Shared application tier system on Oracle10g RAC database, OID,

6. Project Description
This is a SLA based, 24 x 7, Apps support and maintenance project. Around 2000 concurrent users are using this Oracle
application all over theglobe. Theproject is to support Non-Production instances, DBA/Sys Admin support is available 24x7,
and Application supportis available 24x5.
All DBA/Sysadmin/Application support issues are tracked through OVSD tool.
Responsibilities:
 Allocation of tickets (received through OVSD) to team members.
 Analysing the tickets and communicating with Business users for understanding of the requirements.
 Resolving user’s day-to-day issues.
 Activities like Export/Imports, Patching in test and development environments, Database monitoring, File system
check, Trouble-shooting, etc.
