The OCIC Membership & Nominations Committee is proposing changes to OCIC's membership fee structure to make it more equitable across organization sizes. The proposed changes include: 1) Expanding and adjusting the organizational membership fee tiers to better reflect differences in access to resources for small, medium, and large organizations. 2) Introducing tiered network/institutional membership fees aligned with the organizational tiers. 3) Increasing projected annual revenue by approximately $14,000 to reduce OCIC's dependency on government funding and better support its services. Member feedback on the proposals will be incorporated into a resolution for approval by the board and membership vote in June 2015.

2. • 2014 - 2015 – Review of OCIC Membership
Fee structure conducted by OCIC
Membership Committee
• Purpose: to establish a more equitable fee
structure that acknowledges differences
across small, medium and large organizations
in terms of access to resources
2
Introduction
3. • More equitable structure that acknowledges
differences in access to resources across small,
medium and large sized organizations
• Benefits of OCIC membership (extent &variety of
services) have increased since 2010
• Reduced OCIC dependency on federal government
funding, thereby enhancing Council’s capacity to
serve as independent voice for the sector
– Projected revenue increase: ~$14,000/year
3
Rationale for Change (1)
4. • Last change in Membership Fees was in 2010
– Fee for smallest members (<$100k annual budget)
has not changed since 1993
• 6% rate of inflation between 2010-2014
• Changes are in line and competitive with fees
of similar networks/councils in Canada

2. Introduction of Tiered Network/Institutional
Membership Fees
