VACANCY
Finance & Administration Assistant
Location: Nyamongo, Tarime District
Work Type: Contract – 2 years renewable
Reporting to: The Trust Fund Manager
Salary: Negotiable and Competitive

The general purpose of the Community Trust is to generate public benefits activities of a philanthropic and
benevolent nature designed to uplift, develop and make more sustainable the Beneficiaries and to prevent as much as
possible inequalities among them by providing in as much as it is possible equal benefits amongst the Beneficiaries
based not entirely on physical locations but rather on projects or programs that either directly benefit a Village
Community or projects or programs that give benefit to all five Village Communities (e.g. Hospital development
support).
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITY
The principal activity of the Fund is to encourage, assist and support programs and activities in the fields of
education, training, health, capacity building, agriculture, water and poverty alleviation generally as the trustees may
at their own discretion deem expedient.
We are seeking to employ a qualified candidate to fill the position of Finance & Administration Officer.
The position is based in Nyamongo, Tarime District, Mara Region and the incumbent will report to the
Trust Fund Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities;
Accounting duties
•Preparing monthly accounts Income Statement ,Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statements
•Prepares and dispatches invoices to clients in a timely manner
•Correctly and timely enters invoices and payment vouchers in the system
•Manage accounts payables and receivables
•Manages petty cash
•Prepares timely cost and revenue reports
•Carries out banking errands and bank reconciliation etc.
•Handles are statutory taxes requirements and staff contributions to Social security schemes.
•Ensures proper documentation is maintained for all transactions.
•Payroll management
•Other related roles

Administration duties
•Provides office management support e.g. overseeing office cleanliness, Procurement of office supplies,
timely payment of office bills, Filling tenders etc.
•Provides secretarial support to the Manager and occasionally to the Board of Trustees as instructed by the
Trust Manage
•Design and ensure filing systems are maintained and up to date
•Liaising and working closely with clients, suppliers and other stake holders
•Employees contract management i.e. renewal and issuance of contracts on the approved templates etc.
•Other related duties as assigned from time to time.
HR Duties;
•Support the Trust Manager with the day to day HR management services of the office – attendance,
payroll, employment agreements etc
Requirements
•Diploma with specialized certification in Accounting and Finance. University Degree in Finance,
Business or Public Administration desirable, but it is not a requirement.
•At least 3 years’ experience carrying out similar roles
•Proficient in the use of Ms. Office and Accounting packages
•Ability to establish and maintain relationships, work on own initiative and maintaining a high degree of
quality and accuracy
•Excellent analytical, planning, communication, administrative and organisational skills
•Approachable, positive, friendly and has proactive customer service philosophy
•Generally pleasant demeanor and highly developed interpersonal skills.
