This document summarizes an apparel design project that was influenced by Asian styles and Tokyo city life. The designer aimed for modest elegance and moderate sex appeal through the use of color blocks, geometric prints, and influences from patterns seen on city streets and falling petals. A muslin process was described where pant and corset samples were created to test styles and fabrics before finalizing the design which involved adding boning and lining to corsets and experimenting with twill fabrics.
