and better it then branched out to stand on its own aimed at offering IT services to previously
disadvantaged communities such as rural & government schools, household and small office computer
users but later grew to offer its services to medium and larger enterprises as well.

Kabega Technology Solutions adopts a client based attitude to requirements, directing the technical solutions
towards the clients’ needs, as opposed to basing all solutions on a single technical platform. In this way, client
preferences can be accommodated from the outset.
At the same time, Kabega Technology Solutions has unique and privileged access to a range of Access Control
and Perimeter products, as well as Video Management Systems, which allow total integration where enterprise wide
solutions are required with special data management demands, and where Wide Area Networking features are
prevalent. This includes the provision of complete in-house Control Centres so that clients can manage their own
systems and facilities.

Video Analytical Systems and technology
A range of NVR, DVR and Video Management systems have been and are being installed, with Video Analytics capabilities.
Digital Data Networks
A number of systems have been already installed using LAN, WAN and VPN services.
Control Room Design including monitoring equipment and software
Control room facilities including consoles, racks, servers, work-stations and associated equipment have been installed in
client control rooms.
Digital IP/TCPIP addressable CCTV networks
Current projects include the installation of over a thousand IP cameras connected via VPN to distributed NVR's and
centralized video management control systems.
Integrated Access Control Systems with Video Analytic Technology
IP based access control systems, integrated with video management systems, have been, and are being installed, for a
number of clients, the VMS systems having video analytics capability.

A range of fibre optic based perimeter detection systems have been provided for clients in South Africa and other African
countries.
Fibre Optic network design and installation
Fibre optic networks for access control and CCTV communications have been supplied, generally on sites where distance
requirements dictate the use of fibre optic communications or where the environment is such that fibre optic
communications is preferred.
Number Plate Recognition Installations
Number plate recognition systems have been installed, linked to access control to and from site.
Security Risk Management
In many instances there have been no specifications for the systems eventually installed. This has necessitated the threat
and risk analysis being carried out on site prior to system design being undertaken.
Implementing and maintaining the security performance capabilities required for Corporates and National Key
Points
Maintenance contracts undertaken for different government establishments are monitored under a performance
measurement scheme, where daily, weekly and monthly performance of maintenance teams and equipment up-time is
measured.
