Introduction
• Maruti Suzuki India Limited, formerly known as Maruti Udyog
Limited, is a publicly listed automaker in India.
• Suzuki motor corporation of Japan holds a majority stake in the
company.
• It was the first company in India to mass produce and sell more than a
million cars.
• The company’s first car for India, named as the Maruti 800, instead of
the Alto. This small hatchback had revolutionized the Indian car
market.
Physical distribution
Physical distribution includes all the activities associated with the supply of
finished product from the production line to the consumers. It considers many sales
distribution channels, inventory materials, packaging, logistics etc.
