To encourage the adoption of new drugs, Lilly
Brazil asked a STAR Global team to develop
a plan to significantly improve customer
satisfaction among oncologists in Brazil, as
measured by their Net Promoter® Score. The
STAR Global team went to work with site visits,
interviews and surveys of oncologists, medical
experts and the sales force, then delivered
practical marketing strategies with a detailed
timeline for implementation.

What you can expect
During the four-month project, each STAR Global
team of five to seven students works with their
faculty advisor and corporate partner team, at first
virtually (January thru April), in the U.S., and then
on the ground during a two-week immersion
in their destination country (May).
Our unique TEAM FOCUS model is
especially effective in international and
multinational settings. This framework
for business problem solving establishes
critical success factors for performance
within a team coupled with
hypothesis testing and data-
driven analyses.
Deliverables include research
findings, a narrative to place
findings in full context, and
a final presentation that
lays out both achievable
recommendations and
next steps.

HOSPITAL
A business roadmap to help
save lives
In Zambia, two-thirds of the people live
in poverty, yet it has one of the world’s
fastest growing populations. Dedicated
to improving women’s health, UNC Global
Women’s Health plans new construction
and renovations to the obstetrics wing of
Zambia’s University Teaching Hospital. The
STAR Global team performed an in-depth
analysis of imaging, laboratory, pharmacy
and private practice facilities, developing a
business plan that shows revenue streams
will support operational sustainability.
