To whom it may concern,
I am very pleased to write this letter of recommendation for Miss Nikki Saadat. I am the
Research Assistant for Associate Professor Jesse Bering at the University of Otago’s
Centre for Science Communication. Miss Saadat was an intern student with Assoc Prof
Bering and myself from 6th July to 22nd September 2015.
During her time with us, Miss Saadat was partly responsible for recruiting participants
for our study, and for collecting confidential data. She excelled on both counts, initiating
novel recruitment methods of her own design and confidently managing the large volume
of study participants that resulted from her recruitment methods. Miss Saadat was
diligent, accurate and consistent in her data collection.
Miss Saadat was also responsible for organising the advertising for a large, biennial event
run by the Centre: The ScienceTeller Festival. In this task, Miss Saadat was simply
outstanding. She applied herself tirelessly to a difficult job over many weeks. Her search
for advertising opportunities was utterly comprehensive and her remarkable initiative
shone through in everything she did. Miss Saadat located and engaged key advertising
contacts - both on and off campus - initiated and oversaw the design of all our advertising
material, and liaised with printing and distributing staff to great effect. Miss Saadat
performed every task she was given quickly and efficiently. The success of the 2015
Festival was a direct result of Miss Saadat’s resourcefulness, energy and drive. I cannot
stress enough how good her initiative and work ethic was for this task.
As well as being an outstanding worker, Miss Saadat is sunny, outgoing, friendly and
approachable. She landed in our midst as if she had always been here, making friends
instantly and greeting staff and students alike as if she had known them for many years.
She was cheerful every day and a joy to work with.
Miss Saadat far exceeded our expectations of her. I found her a delight to work with and I
am sure that others will find the same. Miss Saadat will excel at anything she turns her
mind to and I have no hesitation in recommending her for whatever she choses to apply
for. My only complaint is that she could not stay with us for longer.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about Miss Saadat’s time with us.
Yours sincerely,
Emma Curtin
