Reita Faria was born in 1945 in Mumbai, India. She earned an MBBS degree from Grant Medical College & J.J Group of Hospitals. In 1966, she became the first Asian woman to win the Miss World title. Despite her success as a model, she pursued a career in medicine and practiced as a doctor in Dublin, Ireland after marrying in 1971. She had 2 children and 5 grandchildren.
